      Hey I just recently found your channel and think i want to do some of these upgrades to my 2020 lm2 but one major problem is the autostop. I saw a company that sells a 99$ part that is supposed to let you permanently disable autostop but do you know of any way to turn off autostop without buying that part?

    I really can’t wait for that ppe intake pipe to be released to the market and combine it with the stock air box since that seems like the best way to go.

    So far I’ve been extremely happy with S&B intake pipe to stock filter box, afe air filter and stillen scoop.
    After examining the scoop when I get time I want to trim up the original air dam and modify it. There’s more surface area on stock..

      You have a great setup! That was my preferred way, until the ppe pipe arrived. It’s a step above the S&B! I’m not saying to ditch your setup, you are dialed.
      I like where your head is on that idea. I looked into that as well but my concern was that it wasn’t smooth and and didn’t have a scoop to help direct. Please keep me informed on yours, I just may do it as well

      I have the S&B too and it increased efficiency by 2mpg over 50 miles. 29mpg to 31mpg, mostly flat driving, oddly paper media does better than cleanable. NOVA.

      @@christopherlee6524 how is it hand calculated? I’ve shown improvements in the dash as well but then when I come to calculate by hand, those numbers on the dash were false

    I like the videos but I find it ironic how people complain that these trucks are too expensive but the first thing they do is run out and buy a bunch of aftermarket parts for no real benefit. I could understand if they made more power or paid for themselves in efficiency gains, but a carbon fiber pipe that likely will cost 3 bills to do little in the grand scheme of things seems ridiculous-if it improves throttle response, the same thing could be made much cheaper if done with injection molded plastic. This stuff feels very gimmicky to me to get people to shell out money they don’t need to.

      He said looks and sound if that’s what your after. It’s not gonna be a huge difference in power I’ve tried different combinations as well.Filter longevity and louder whistle. It’s definitely not a cost effective plan I know that now. Also not a fuel gain as he mentioned

    Speaking of surging…. Have you encountered a “fall on its face” moment when the truck tries to down shift to pass? It’s really like a stutter or if you could imagine a “misfire” mine does it every once in a while and it’s only if I go from say 70mph and try and pass. It shudders in the down shift then picks right back and takes off with good power. It’s definitely weird

    I saw your video on the k&n intake and it sounds and looks good … I do have a concern will this trigger a check engine light to come on ? And if so is it something to be worried about ?

    Hi, question for you I have gone through all your videos and done some of the same bolt ons like the cold air intake and resonator delete. I still cant quite get the same amount of audible turbo whistle as you, could you tell me if you did something else that I am missing from your videos that resulted in louder turbo whistle?

      just the intake tube and air box, nothing else to help the noise. It is the LZ0 and wondering if those are just a little more noisy than LM2?

    Interseting. Not a huge fan of the clear cover, I actually like the hexagonal look of the K&N better, but I'm not a fan of it for the same reason as you. Does the K&N have the intake duct opening like the AirRaid, or does it only breath through the top?

    I'm trying to understand the point of upgrading the airbox if there are no performance or efficiency advantages. Wouldn't it be easier (and cheaper) to have a friend ride along and go varrrooom varrroom if you want more noise?

      I'm in Utah. I am running the PPE charge air cooler which deletes that resonator.

    Does someone S&B sell the tube separately? Almost $500 for the PPE is a little excessive.

      The Ppe pipe is far superior. Just buy the pipe with the stock airbox, you will net better results than the full s and b.

    Is anyone else still having trouble with the IDash settings on the LM2 refresh? I still can’t find the EGT temps.

      Did you select the correct profile? You want the second 3.0 Duramax choice… not the first, which I believe says 20-21

    In your opinion is the factory set up filter housing is no worse than anything you have tried? What about air filter which one do you recommend?
    I don't necessarily care about sound just performance and fuel economy

      currently I am running a stock airbox with K&N filter. I would rather it be an oil free filter though, like one from airaid or Green. My ZR2 will have the stock airbox with a green filter. Whether or not the cost of the upgraded filter will help anything is yet to be determined, but the stock filter in the stock box works pretty well and nets great fuel mileage.

    I don’t know if K&N changed their intake, but for my 21 LM2 it comes up as an enclosed filter similar to the airaid

      When did you buy yours? I bought the K&N and the AirAid directly from their respective companies within the last 6 months. LM2/LZ0 are no different for the airbox.

      Went back on the site and it shows the honeycomb one, i looked last night and they had a sealed model.. I have no idea🤷🏻‍♂️. Lol

    Unless the filter is outside of the engine compartment, there is no CAI. my Mustang came with one on it, there is a parameter that tells me the air intake temp and it is rarely colder than the outside temp. Only in spring and fall. And even that is rare. Not driven during winter.

      How would it be possible to have a colder than outside air temp?
      These are designed with a duct to the outside.. anything cooler than underhood temp is regarded as “cold air”

      @@DemonWorks my intake temp is always higher than the outside temp. Was driving it tonite, outside was 80, air intake was 82. Higher of course at traffic lights. Some of the older CAI that were on Fox bodies, were out in the inner fender. They had to have been cooler than anything in the engine compartment.

      @@DemonWorks ram air is a better term for these units then. Or ambient air. Which if it is like 100 degrees isn’t really cold. Except the engine compartment is much more hot. They most likely flow more air which a diesel needs as long as everything gets changed. If you have a 3 inch pipe feeding into a 2.5 inch throttle intake, you are trying to fit 10 gallons into a 5 gallon hat.

      No, it doesn't fit with how GM moved the valve into that section now.

    I recently had “Check System” pop up on the Air Filter Life. I unfortunately can’t reset it with the steering wheel button. Is it possible to clear it or reset this issue without going to the dealership?

      You missed a window to clear in the cluster, there are two.

      I'd say the AFE was the worst. The S&B worked, it just wasn't among my favorites because the much larger diameter pipe in a bend where the MAF is getting it's reading from. The pipe makes the S&B kit worth it at a minimum. I wasn't a fan of the box, others are.
