When our kids were younger can't tell you how many times my husband made forts out of boxes from refrig, washers, dryers that we had bought. They played with those more than their toys.... had we known we could have saved so much money...LOL! It's the simple things in life that kids get the most enjoyment out of.

That was so cool..the playhouse. We bought a refrigerator several years ago and we did the same thing with the box and handed the grandchildren a box of colored chalk and they drew pictures on the walls. Well, they are all boys so they drew dogs and cars, but still. It was so much fun watching them play in a box!! Let them use their imaginations. There isn’t enough of that anymore. Great parenting!! I love Hannah's Happy Home. Their house has turned out amazing. I like the cabinet there. I never have been a fan of having shelves and pieces of furniture that have no purpose but to decorate. I am too much of a minimalist for that. I had no doubt that whatever you did would look great.

I agree about the kitchen window. Framing it out would look really nice, and I would do away with the dated blinds. I think you were talking about putting a balloon curtain/shade up, one you can draw up and down. I think that would look good, although I don’t know about brown, I was thinking white. I would also change the curtain rod to black to match the kitchen hardware. The kitchen looks really nice with the new cabinets up!!
