My favourite song from the Joshua tree . The song is about one of their crew who died in motor cycle accident . I believe he was riding Bono’s bike at the time
it was more tragic than that even, I believe Gucci swapped his bike with Greg Carroll for a laugh, which happened to be Bono's bike. It was too powerful for him, and he crashed. Terrible.
Oh thank goodness, Bono's back in denim. Those Sinatra-style suit jackets were making me feel old. :-D Looking and sounding great, guys, wish I could be there! Thanks Mr. Kantas for posting this!
WOW! Mad props to you for capturing the entire song. This is beautiful. As if this song didn't bring tears to my eyes by itself the tribute to Greg certainly enhanced them. Thanks you for capturing and uploading this.
Thanks so much for uploading this video! When the album first came out and I got my copy - on LP! - this was immediately one of my favourite songs. In the pre-Internet/Google/Wikipedia era, it took a little work to find out who was Greg Carroll and why this song was dedicated to him in the liner notes (e.g., via articles/interviews in NME and Spin), and once found out, the song became even more meaningful...
Richard Lim If you watch the U2 footage at Live Aid (Wembley Stadium) Gregg Carroll is the young roadie that is sorting out Bono’s mike leads throughout their performance, going down into the audience with him etc.
Odd to see Edge over Adam's side of the stage he usually doesn't move far from his post during a gig, wonder was he checking the sound mix or just taking a stroll lol.
Great video Harry. You can't beat One Tree Hill played in Auckland ... Looks like you were about 4-5 deep from the front rail -- is that about right? How was your experience? (I'm planning my GA for Asia :-) )
Thank you for sharing this. I have seen them perform many times but not this particular song. P.S. Is that Larry on the drums? I see floppy hair which isn’t typical LMJ style.
How would you rate the concert? Was the singing etc decent throughout or kind of watered down like in a clip we saw on the news? Over $700 for two tickets.
To be honest, I didn't think bono was as good as he has been.. The sound was not the best, there were timing issues.. So no, it was not up to standard. U2 are a great band.. One of the best.. But didn't have the energy I've seen before. We paid $750 EACH, we had no special treatment.. Ticket master basically treated us with contempt. To sum up, great band and worth seeing. However in this particular performance, it was simply not up to the standard expected.
@@PeterChatteris I didn't end up getting the tickets. So glad now. Seeing Queen twice next year, that will be so much better (amazing front row seats too). U2 is no doubt an iconic band but probably being outdone by everyone. Now we just need the Rolling Stones to tour one last time...
I sorry to say that I think that this was a poor performance by the band, why don't they just admit that they are over the hill and just do a few gigs and make them great.im a U2 fan before anyone comments but they ain't what they used to be.
So good to watch and hear every time u2 forever
I loved that you filmed the moon there during the last part of the song! Beautiful and an artistic choice.
So so beautiful my God. I really start crying hearing this accords ❤️
Loved those Auckland shows. So glad I made the trip. Thanks for posting. ❤️👍
I don’t understand people who don’t like this band. Still connecting with hearts.

Car pulled out and it was raining... he was a roadie in U2 from NZ
Absolutely breathtaking
such wonderful moments, and the real moon is the magic touch. Cheers.
New Zealand’s favorite U2 song!
2019/2020 U2 IS STILL THE BIGGEST BAND ON THE PLANET

Hey dad! Or is it brother? Ellen says hi
Symbolic!
Is Bono singing before The Lake of fire?
Odd to see Edge over Adam's side of the stage he usually doesn't move far from his post during a gig, wonder was he checking the sound mix or just taking a stroll lol.
He moved to that side during the same song on the 2017 tour...
He didn't on most of the videos I've watched.
I could here this down the road
Nice!

Bono il n'a jamais changé ses vêtements depuis 5 ans hhhhhh Conrad
