I agree with you! Spray oil is the way to go! Even if I am going to fry or sear the meat in oil, I still always spray the entire inside with canned spray oil. It seems to protect the seasoning better than simply using liquid oil. Maybe there is something else in the aerosol? Whatever it is, I always use it.
