For someone deeply offended by homosexuality Tony certainly seems to enjoy discussing it.

Opposition towards something or someone does not necessarily mean you associate with the people you’re against though. If that’s the case, by your logic, someone who hates chocolate is probably in denial of their taste of sweets.

He doesn’t have to be gay if he doesn’t want to though. I had to accept the fact that I was pansexual but I’m only interested in women because of the backlash I would receive if I got caught kissing men.

Maybe I would've ended up with the same partner if I'd been open about my sexuality back when I was single, but I never gave it a chance because I was a devout christian afraid of "failing" God and my family. I'm very glad that I've finally accepted myself and if I ever find myself single again, I won't limit myself based on other people's opinions. That confidence, self-acceptance, and safety that we all deserve.

So the only thing stopping him from acknowledging his feelings is his god. I feel sorry for him.
I personally have zero qualms about coming off as not masculine (in fact, since I'm starting hrt in September, I hope I will eventually come off as entirely feminine) and it never, ever happened to me to have sexual fantasies about men. I honestly wouldn't mind liking men, it would open up options for my dating life, I just don't. That's why I always raise a brow when a bigot says something that implies that everyone has to fight off gay thoughts or something to that effect
The caller seems very grossed out by anal sex. But he can’t have a conversation about sexual orientation without discussing specific acts. What bugs me is that it is so easy for a straight person to tell other people to not be gay, it’s no struggle for you to obey. It’s awful easy to not do things you aren’t naturally interested.

I would argue it isn’t a waste of time, though I get what you mean. There’s a 99.9% chance this man isn’t going to change his mind.

Exactly. And even if it weren't natural and was totally a choice, how does that make it wrong? One could argue that heterosexual oral sex or hetero anal sex is unnatural and a choice, but I don't hear these people calling into shows and demanding that everyone stop doing it.

I knew about homosexuality in nature. I knew that humans are animals, too. I knew about evolution. And I knew that men and women being gay wasn't going to stop the human species from continuing. The caller almost speaks a different language with his urban slurring of words. Homosexuality is in almost every mammal and the prohibitions against it is in just a couple of religions. Scholars have determined that those prohibitions stem from those religions attempting to differentiate themselves from the other religions that already existed when they were created.
