Wonderful!! I will do that! We love to have prawn curry with a special kind of Kichdi (dal & rice) so I’ll share that video too!! It will take me some time as I’m currently travelling india 😃
Thank you! So glad you enjoyed it! As for other types of fish, I use cod, catfish or tilapia only. But you can try any type and see which you like! I’m sure they’ll be tasty😊
Hello Beta, Am thrilled to find this fish recipe. My family are from Bharuch in Gujarat near Surat. We are Gujarati Muslims settled in east london. The recipe u’re sharing now is the same as our family/Community cooks. I always wanted my friends to cook as we do but there was none on the youtube. At last now today i’ve found your ..this one .. am going to share with all my non gujarati mates. Couple of things i’ve learned from this recipe Are… chickpea flour slurry that gives extra body to the sauce + crushed black pepper for an extra kick. Instead we add fresh coriander paste with green chilli & couple of small pieces of coconut paste + we use kashmiri chilli powder too for nice bright colour.. & more oil for extra tarri.. so it shines and tastes 👌👌👌 Seems ur mum is from south gujarat .. around Surat Navsari, Billimora or Vapi, Valsad. Beta tamara Mummy ne mara yaad aapjo. May Almighty Bless u & ur Beloved. Beta Bye for now👋👋👋
What a beautiful comment! Thank you so much for this. Yes my mum is from Navsari and always makes fish like this. I’m glad you are able to share this recipe with your friends ☺️ I hope you enjoy my other recipes too. Thank you again and I will give my mum your regards 🙏🏽♥️
Awesome recipe. I am going to give it a try, but I am thinking of swapping the fish with Moreton bay bugs. Ane mummy ketla saras rite samjave che ne. She reminds me of my school teacher when I lived in Surat in late 90s. I miss the good old days.
I had to look up what Moreton bay bugs are!! My mum also makes lovely crab curry. Maybe she can do a video on that soon! She’s currently recovering from surgery in India 🙏🏽 Mari mummy badhu saras banave 😊

Hey Vas fish curry looks amazingly easy to cook. And looks delicious 😋. Fish is my husband’s and sons favourite and I have not yet mastered the fish curry. I’m for sure going to try when my sons comes visiting us next time. Thank your mum and thank you for sharing lovely recipes.👌🏼👍🏼🥰xx

Omg Vas the fish curry looks absolutely amazing and so easy recipe. Thank your beautiful mum from me. My husband and boys loves fish. And I have not yet mastered the fish curry. I’m sure going to make it for definite. Excellent recipe 👌🏼👍🏼🥰xx
Thank you! These Cod fillets were frozen from Costco. It was very good because frozen fish tends to be frozen soon after being caught! We never used to buy frozen fish before, but now, that's all we buy!!
Well, well I made it today. Delicious but I had to add sugar to soften the tart/acidic taste. I followed to a T! The fish cooked to PERFECTION! I am slowly going through all. Thanks ❤ to you and your Mother ❤❤❤
@@MilhaanHomeYou make my day replying! I am Welsh but I lice in Moscow. Amazingly, I even got those seeds beginning with 'f' in the supermarket! Shout out to your mother ❤
What other fish besides cod goes well? Perhaps salmon, tilapia, red snapper? How about fish with bones? Will that change the flavor? I remember as a kid we would sit on the floor with newspaper. Pick out the bones as a kid.. but I don’t think that recipe was patio?
You can use any white fish like Haddock, catfish, tilapia etc. you could try salmon too! Bones in the fish are fine, but you’ll need to pick them out for sure! Enjoy 😃
@@MilhaanHomeCooked it today - sorry I missed this! I left a comment. When eating it I did think to myself, this is a historical and traditional dish from this random, but wonderful family, I met on yt. Much love ❤

Your Mum is adorable! Would this work with tofu? I think I could add a touch of kelp powder to the coating for "fish" flavour
