    You should probably take a look at “Dicefolk” it doesn’t have much of a story, but it gives an amazing twist on creature collecting and deck building.
    I would also recommend “Astrea: the Six-Sided Oracles” both games are deck builders, but they use dice instead of cards, and I think Astrea does great with how unique each character’s dice work and synergies. Also I think you would love the art style 😁
    Feel free to check out both, or nether, and feel free to make a video on either.
    P.S I wander what this comment will look like at the end of a video, since it’s recommending two games, and you can only make a video on one at a time.
    Anyway love your videos! Bye! 👋
    Edit: after replying Astrea I definitely recommend you check that one out first. 😁

    Shattered Pixel Dungeon will once more be my nomination,
    Its in my opinion the best execution of a classic roguelike. Just your skill and knowledge against a difficult descent with a dark secret. It has all the classic things like being tile based and turn based. While having approachable controls that do not require a manual.
    I will admit that one of its greatest achievements is to be the best coffee break/train game in existence, since it is available on mobile.

    I have about 260 runs on Astral Ascent, my favorite character is Octave and I'm beyond impressed with how fun this game is. This is my favorite roguelike and I've played over 10 roguelikes so far. The combat is insanely fun for a 2D game, the buffs are great, the music is FIRE, the lore is really interesting, the bosses are challenging and the builds are INSANE. Every update over the past year or two have been fantastic and they REALLY stay close to the fans in order to see what needs to be fixed, changed, buffed, nerfed, etc. This game deserves 10x the amount of purchases it has already. Even if you're not into 2D games, STILL try this game out because it will change your whole view on 2D games in general. Even the DLC is great since you get a whole new character, spells, lore and more. Plus...THE DLC IS 5 BUCKS. HOW CAN YOU SAY NO? Also, on the 27th of November, they're giving all 5 characters another weapon with passives when we already have 3 for each character with 3 separate passives that you can use on the weapons. Each update has made me comeback to the game and put in another 100 hours at the very minimum and I still haven't tried every build or Aura that I could after many hours put into the game. At the VERY LEAST, this game is a 9/10 due to great music, great combat, great lore, great bosses, great Co-op, great DLCs and even great Devs. We even have another update after the one on the 27th and I'm so psyched for it.

      My favorite part of the updates is the Perfected Room... it really adds to the stakes and rewards you for playing well. I'm on Destiny level 30, and still playing daily

    Great review, and im totally not biased in saying that! Love how you documented everything that made me love the game! my only critiques really are the lower resolution gameplay/trailer at the beginning and also the difficulty part. Honestly i was surprised to see you get so far so quickly when i saw your stream, and i completely agree that the game is easier when you get the hang of it at the beginning. But i was quite surprised you didn't give a mention during the difficulty section that it was the base difficulty, considering a major part of completing the game includes the difficulty modifiers you can set yourself with the void catalyst. I think those add a lot of freedom to how you want to up the difficulty to your preferences as you get better!

      @roguelikerabbit  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      This is true with the difficulty and I just noticed the resolutions that my bad I didn't even notice I am sorry about that but I am glad you like it overall!

    The variety in this game truly is astonishing... One run, it felt like I just picked up a chameleon friend boon, and drank my way to stat boosts to the level of being able to tank everything and power through the bosses, or a different run, where I had to dodge everything, or I fell over immediately... Thank you Mark for explaining the visuals 🙏. Crazy enough, though, I couldn't stop getting Skul vibes the whole time playing, yet the game feeling completely different as well... Love them both to bits! Great review as always, and keep up the good work!
    Once again, though, a goofy game I hold dear is Going Under... Such a silly roguelike...

    one roguelike I enjoyed playing recently is Shogun Showdown. I wouldn't say its a particularly big game but it has a fun gameplay loop imo. Its a turn based game where you have to carefully position yourself to avoid damage and build up attacks to defeat the enemies. Its really easy to accidentally set yourself in a trap where you can't do anything but take damage but learning how to avoid these situations is pretty fun and the playable characters all feel pretty unique to play even though all that changes is their starting loadout and action when walking into an enemy. It sadly.. does not have a gun guy, most regrettable.

      That's a game I actually had on my docket! So hopefully i can get to it! But it's a shame that no gun guy

    Not sure if this would be up your alley but one roguelike that I was addicted to for a bit was World of Horror I cannot really recommend it as the game is fairly unbalanced and punishing at times and I have lost some runs because the game decided it hated me but still not a bad game just not the most balanced roguelike out there.

    I would say difficulty is a 4/5 once you start adding Destiny Levels
