- Here's a few ideas on how I style a leopard slip dress for any age. I've been wearing leopard print dresses since my 20s, but now I'm near 50 and a slip dress seemed like a nice challenge! How can we style this leopard slip dress for any age? 22? 42? 82? Let's try some ideas! I do love a leopard print dress! I do not like the word "classy"
Fun, feminine, and creative style is what we're aiming for. Style at any age shouldn't be boring. UnBlah Yourself with French Girl Style principles and an American sense of fun!

"It's time to go, when Auntie starts talking like this, it's time to go" 🤣. You're so funny! I learned so much in the last two weeks since I discovered you. You're so beautiful, yet humble, combined with a great sense of humor which makes your videos a pleasure to watch. 🥰
Yes, exactly!
She's giving me Molly Ringwald energy! Creative, smart, funny, down to earth.
Thank you so much! Glad you're here! Love Auntie
Totally agreeeeeeeeeeeeeeee❤❤❤🎉❤🎉❤🎉❤🎉❤🎉❤🎉❤🎉❤❤❤❤❤
My sister sent me a big long thick faux leopard coat from Fabulous Furs. It has the hook closures. Its truly fabulous. I'm 71 and plus size but as an overcoat I think it works on my senior self! I love it.
I’m 28 and I’ve always felt a leopard print anything was too aggressively sexy on me. This was inspiring!!
@@cbeghin0514 I am 72 and I’m looking for that slip dress for myself 😊😂😂
I’m 44 in one week and cannot tell you how grateful I am to join you and this wonderful community in enjoying fashion and styling and your thrifting hauls! Glad you're here Louise!
Im70 and just thrifted several Leopard pieces. Love this!!❤😊
That is awesome! 🐆
I do the bralet. It does take a little getting used to but honestly clothes actually fit and look better. Super comfy too.
I feel like you’re a long time friend!
Aw thank you!
Love the denim shirt and the brown skirt. I would never think to try it but I like it
I love your attitude to life and dressing. I've been through a terrible time recently with a lot of loss and I noticed I was wearing my 'survival clothes' - v practical waterproofs, jumpers, walking shoes to power around and do my errands. V practical but it was making me feel even more stressed and depressed, so I've been dressing softer again inspired by your channel. I bought a couple of silk scarves this week in a charity shop for £2 each and theyre beautiful. I also bought a stunning fancy watch in the same charity shop, it feels like it represents my compass for the new life I am in the process of creating.
Yes! Create that vision!
I’ve been through survival clothing stages as well and your comments really resonate with me. The fact that you are here and making changes suggests you’re going to be ok. ❤
I feel that the leopard print is a neutral (not boring) just that it goes with everything!! Tres magnifique!!
My mom would wear snow leopard print. Its the white and shades of gray version, obviously. She liked how it looked when her hair turned gray. It was so beautiful on her 🤍
Nice tip!
Very inspiring- next thrifting outing it’s on my list!
Yes! I started thrift shopping a few years ago when a friend introduced it to me. My most favorite shop moved and it is further than I wish to drive now. Happy shopping!!!!!
I have countless scarves that I use regularly, including a small square pink and white one with Paris monuments on it, which I received as a gift when I was 12. I am now 75.
That's a cute story!
I am super conservative with my clothes but for some reason I love your channel!😂 I don’t love man collars either and I like at least one feminine touch to every outfit. Flowy, feminine, flattering, and comfyyyyy.
Yay! I'm glad you're here!
Try wearing a slip dress or any other skimpy top over a sheer long sleeve top. I’m 79!
Ooh yeah
Dress over wide leg pants a cheeky nod to the 20's. 🎉🎉
Super haircut❣
I thank you for this video. I am a fashion flop. I have no idea what to buy, how to wear it. So I always end up in Jeans and a big t-shirt. But you are teaching and inspiring me to try something different. ❤
I started being fashionable - and actually getng compliments!- once I started thrifting really hard. I was overwhelmed when visiting stores never knowing what to grab, what to try. Even online searching, I would give up. When thrifting, it feels like stuff were already chosen for me, the best way I can explain it.

You and your videos are great- a combo of class, humor, common sense, and whimsy. Just found them recently and love them! I really love the way you styled the leopard slip dress…. Could work with a lot of different thrifted slip dresses !
Thank you so much!!
I love the black vest over the leopard 🐆 dress! Who woulda thunk? The sweater is sooo pretty! Yes, fun 🤩
I was wondering what you'd think of leopard!
Your hair inspired me, I now have the same cut ❤
Me too!
Wow! Short hair gang here! I hope the backs of your haircuts look better than mine!
Underwired bras are linked to all kinds of health issues for the girls. I'm in Scotland. I buy non-wired from M&S (Marks and Spencer). I hope non-wired catches on in the US too! .... PS we call a 'vest' a 'waistcoat' 😊
I love this video and all of your outfits. We have similar style!
Comfortable and fun... music to my ears!
And i love❤ brown with leopard print.
Just discovered your channel a few days ago and have been binge-watching the entire catalogue. The algorithm
gods must be smiling on you because I am noticing a steady rise in the number of subscribers. I must say, it is well deserved.
P.S.The short hair suits you so much more than the length you had in your first videos. Not only does it flatter your face, but you seem to have more of a glow about you as well as a sassier, more confident attitude that is so much fun to watch. I and my pixie cut short hair thank you for the inspiration.
Thank you so much Claire! Yes I've been surprised by the channel growth after a year and half of toiling in darkness! 😅 Glad you're here with us!
Me too 🎉😂❤

Yes all of these looks are fire ma
You basically made a very fun and versatile capsule wardrobe
Thank youuuuuuu! I didn't even think of it as part of a capsule wardrobe! Wouldn't that be fun to make a really wild capsule wardrobe?
Idea for a new video? 😅
@@RangeGleasry methinks YES!
I sew my own clothes, so your styling is really adding depth to my future sewing plans! I have a slip dress pattern I’m itching to sew, thank you for the inspiration to bump that up and ideas for playing with it. And… I need some bralettes.
I wish I could sew that well!
I love leopard with light blue chambray or any shade of denim . 🐆❤🐆👍
I love leapard print 🐆
You look great in all the looks !!
I have silver and white hair so i go for the white leapard now ❤
You look confident and cool in each look. Esp love the leopard and denim combo. Thank you for another terrific video! Love from a 53-year-old cane-using chronic-illness-battling silver sister, who adores ageless style and awaits your next video ✌🏼
Thank you Mimi! Glad you're here!!😘

Love the denim over the leopard❤
i need a mellow leopard 🐆 SAME! 😆
😅
I liked the slip over long baggy trousers. This is how I wore mine in the grunge era. Been wondering lately how long before that look returns. Nineties fashion was quite good, simple lines. Nice one.
I'm glad you liked that! I wasn't sure anyone would besides me!
Leopard print dangling earrings, and shoes. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻. I do not have the build for a dress like this, never did. But you look amazing Dahling.
Excellent ideas.
Thank you! 😊
I'm a sucker fur animal prints... always have been 😆.
And I agree, that 'all glamed up' with a sexy little number like that is a little too much, once you're middle aged and past (I'm 44).
Personally I really like mixing contrasting styles and materials. So a silky slip dress with heavy, low heeled leather boots. Maybe a rough woven poncho or giant wool shawl up top. Hair curled and a bit messy. Fingerless gloves. A bit of a 'wild child' look.
enjoyed the scoring on this one.
You are sooo much fun!❤
😊 thank you
I just found your channel and I love it! French girl chic with American style is so much fun! I also love how you use thrifted items. Everything always looks amazing on you. I have to rethink my closet. Thank you for helping us older ladies out with fearless aging and fashion tips.
Thank you so much!! Glad you're here Sandra!
I liked the 2nd and 3d looked great on you x
I need to find a good thrift shop.
Such a cool channel
The boldest version suits you the best, just a dress and a necklace, stunning. I also love it with a denim shirt, it looks casual, but fresh and sexy...and stylish. Anyways, if I ever get a chance to wear a leopard dress, I will know which direction to go. Thanks!
Love your vids and your ideas.
Thank you!
:0 I *just* went to the grocery store in a slip dress and denim jacket with rolled sleeves! Wearing a dress makes everything +3 Fancy.
Wooton! Fun!
i’ve been watching your vid’s for awhile now & i love your take on fashion! i relate SO much! then, to hear you’re also 47! you’re a product of late 80’s / 90’s style just like me ✨ this explains it all. i find it refreshing that the ‘french girl style’ runs along so closely to that era of dressing. i love it!
Glad you're enjoying these Wendy! Thanks for being here!
Classsy!!!
Thanks!
Thank you so much Virginia. You really brightened my day! 😘
Love your scarfs, creativity and upbeat attitude!! ❤Followers from Brasil.
Thank you! Welcome and hello from Los Angeles!
You are so stylish, I can't cope!!!! 😍💛💛
❤😊❤
As an hourglass ⌛️ woman who performs on stage and looks sexy in everything ( lol) I really appreciated this tutorial! ❤ 💃
Looooove how you just try stuff and take chances and have fun with your look. It's so inspiring. I'm 54 and do take a lot of fashion risks. Super validating to see others who are into doing that as well 😊❤
Thank you! 😘
I love this leopard slip dress! you might feel too exposed, but i think it already looks good on its own. I was watching your videos while on a long holiday in Marseille and you inspired me to buy three vintage silk scarves, all three are my new loves.
Next time you are in France Nice....gomup to St. Paul de Vence on the main street going up a street of galleries there is a scarf shop on the left...I buy wonderul Impressionist painting replica silk scarve there...they are the only items I buy on vacations in Europe.
I love blazers over slip dresses....I will be looking for a leopard one!
@candole I so wish I could see those scarves!
@@unblahyourself They are super lovely, like your own Paris treasures. The best one is a Gres oblong silk scarf i bought at a charity shop for 50 cents. Gres is not famous as it used to be so they must have overlooked it!
@@latinaalma1947 Nice is the workation destination for next year, so i will remember your tip! Thank you.
Great video! Loved seeing the process and results.
Love, love, love it all❤❤❤
I love your videos and I´m so happy to have found you! We have a very similar style and are the same age...90ies eyebrows... ;-) Cheers from Berlin!
Hello from Los Angeles! Glad you're here!
I've been following since last Monday:i adoooore you and watching tons and tons of your videos!a hug from Sicily(where do you film from?)
She’s in LA.
Welcome! I'm in Los Angeles! ❤
I got some slip dresses and didn't know how to style them, thanks for your fun and creative videos
Glad you like them!
It is amazing, how you can combine totally different clothes. I enjoy your videos very much. Big big thanks. To have fun - I like it and I like, that you are showing us, that it is not the age which stops us, it is the attitude. I really like your work❤
Thank you! I'm glad you're enjoying these!
It was fun to see how many ways you styled a leopard print. Very inspiring I planning on bringing out my leopard prints more. However the cleavage takes it over the top for me. Cannot unsexy that.
Génial J'adore ! ❤
😘
Do you thrift your shoes too? Would love for you to do a shoe video and also learn what you think abut pantyhose-not tights.
Yes please!
oh yes, the animal print dress.... so cool, so Delish!!!
Maybe one more advice to eat more protein. I love your channel and your personality. Good job.👍
What’s your take on painting your toenails? My dad wouldn’t let me do it when I was a youth. I tend not to do it, but with open-toed shoes, what do French girls do?
That's a great question. I need to find out! I personally do not paint my nails unless going to a very fancy event, and even then it's just a light pink.
If you want a second opinion...I feel, that if you have painted fingernails and/or wear lipstick, your toenails need to match. It's the body equivalent to shoes/belt/purse.
Otherwise it will just look, like you put a lot of effort into the usually visible parts, but stopped short of attending to your feet, because you ran out of time or couldn't be bothered.
I *always* notice, when a woman looks 'put together' and wears nice shoes, but didn't do her toenails or they're chipped or whatever.
Just my personal opinion, of course - in the end it's all about what you feel comfortable with.
@@raraavis7782 Agree to disagree, haha I don't like matching these things and always have different fingernails to toenails - having said that I seldom paint them at all.... @Eirekatac The gorgeous French women in my family (inlaws), don't bother to paint their nails much, maybe for holidays or a party
I just found your channel. I LOVE IT! I watched your video what other French girl videos won’t say. It was THE BEST French girl style video I have seen yet! Well done!! BUT… I do have a question. How can I wear my Breton stripes WITHOUT looking like a cliche? I LOVE my Breton stripes and yes eeewww I wore a striped shirt in France, lol.
Aw, don't let me scare you from a striped shirt that you love! I think you could use it in so many ways, just not with a silk scarf, or beret! I like them under blazers.
Oh and thank you! Glad you're hanging out with us!
❤❤❤😊
None of my bras have padding or their own shape! :) and I never wear heels.
Found you recently and I’m learning a lot. We’re the same age but on opposite coasts (New York holla!) Question: have you ceased growing out your white hair?
Nope it's in there! I'll do an update this week. Boy it's coming in WHITE in places!
@@unblahyourself I've grown mine out about an inch and a quarter but I'm probably going to get it colored again. I don't know if it's me but gray hair equals old age when I look in the mirror. I don't feel like I can rock it just yet.
Also what are your thoughts on gray hair as it applies to scenarios you addressed in your boss video?
I think gray hair is fine in boys situating but it's the hairstyle and haircut that are more important. Great grooming matters more than solid color hair.
Diana- what is your favorite underwire non padded bra? Any particular brand?
Here is a nice collection: www.barenecessities.com/search.aspx?search=VIPSALE&drv=4294961468%2c4294922031%2c4294921900&gb=PV_PFID_Price&msg=VIP+25%25+OFF&dscnt=1&drvOld=4294961468,4294922031
It's hard for me to find bras that are unpadded, and bralettes don't offer enough support for me. I don't like showing old lady cleavage, lol. Boob struggles!
What brand of “bralette”
I don't have a specific brand I recommend but I know that in this video it was a simple one I got from forever 21 ages ago.
So, you are wearing a bra with straps? I keep trying to find a flattering strapless bra for spaghetti strap dresses/tops, but maybe I dont need one?
Oh, now I see the strap. Ok, something to consider!
I'll wear a bra with straps if it looks like it could be part of the dress or if I know the straps are going to get covered anyhow! Otherwise, I'd probably wear a strapless, which I don't like to do.
And "padded bras" were obviously made by a man. 😅The bralette is fabulous, also in a swimsuit. 👙
Its too plunging I think
I do not like the vest
"All The Way Classy" = BORING.
