This is a quick review of the features and functions in the 2019 Honda Civic LX. If you have purchased one, or considering it this is a nice refresher over what the vehicle has to offer.

I took a manual lx out on an extended test drive and really enjoyed the driver comfort and easy to operate clutch+shifter. I previously drove a Hyundai Veloster N (the only other standard transmission car at my dealership) and found myself stalling a lot at the beginning. The civics however are quite the practical cars and would be a good option for me if I was not super tall. My height forces me to stick to my rusty trusty 03' Odyssey for now :/

I just bought the 2018 Honda Civic LX and I was confused on a few things but good thing I found your channel. Does the “S” stand for sport mode on the transmission gears?
BS stands for sport mode. When you have it there, the car will idle at a higher RPM giving you a little bit more get up and go. But in doing so, you lose out on some of the gas mileage.
Is there any way to increase the length of the red tach needle? The factory tach is very different to read at a glance with such a tiny red dash of a needle.

I love this car! Here is a good advice for your LX for better MPG used royal purple oil and change your engine and cabin air filter with K&N brand . :) make sure check tire pressure and make it to 35psi . And sure you will get 40 - 42mpg highway and city is proven with econ oh and always used 93 on gas . :) and u can always change that highbean and low beam with better LED just look online hehe
I’m interested in the 2019 Civic and I’m looking at which model to get. Does this LX have a touchscreen or is it all buttons to navigate through the menus?
I would personally get the ex-t model due to the fact that the 1.5 turbo is a lot more fun to drive with than the NA 2.0. Also the EX-T comes with touchscreen that’s android auto and Apple CarPlay compatible. Oh and you also get a moonroof that doesn’t comes with the LX.
I just bought the Honda Accord. I have the break hold feature as well, but scared to use it, because I feel like it would wear the brakes faster. Would it?
I learn way more in this video then the dealership I went to. He only been there for a year and he didn’t tell me all the features of the model and it was horrible and we could have prevented an accident that day

What is orange dot, left area of dash, hot/cold area? Came on lower right space? I got gas first time and noticed it came on? More video of audio, speakers etc would have been nice. Book is printed in small print. I did learn a few new items from your video. Could orange dot be right rear tire alert? I hit a curb at post office. UGH.
it is really relative to the driver and their habits. For a heavy-footed driver the results will be small if any. For a more conservative driver you may see more savings. There is not a perfect mph gain answer....
When my Bluetooth is paired it doesn’t show what song title is playing it’s just a black screen with the time on the top right corner, how would I fix that?
@@fmlrosie9324 if that is the case, you may want to do a hard restart on your vehicle. To do so just unplug the battery for about 20 seconds and then reconnect it. This should reset the head unit completely.
I have the EX model and i am disappointed that the lesser model has certain features that my car does not. I have to manually open the trunk. Horrible.
Seems like a good " get me to work and back car " to me. Which is all I need, I'd rather do other things with my money than blow it all on a car, that drops in value, and if it's cool or think you need status..guess what...nobody cares @$$#&%!

I think you need to set up android auto or apple carplay.
Reina once you connect your phone to bluetooth you will then have access to the voice command options.

Get a Corolla, THe base model L comes standard with CarPlay, bigger Screen, Plus the Headlights are LED. Honda uses Halogens.

It does not. You would need to be in a model with Apple CarPlay or Android auto for this. Sport sedan and above.

I believe it means “S” for second to use on inclines. Uses more RPMs

Interesting, the 2019 Civic LX in canada has the large carplay/android auto touchscreen. I am debating a 2019 LX manual in the spring.

By using 93 octane you actually arent saving any money by getting better mpg because of the greater cost for fuel...

You would need to go to the sport model to get a touch screen.
If you live in Canada you get the screen on LX model

The LX is a 2.0L engine. The model above, the Sport is also. You are looking at 30 in the city and 38 on the highway.

How do you turn your inside lights on automatically after shutting off the car?
There is a switch on the roof by the lights. You can set it to when you open the door the lights come on. That may work for you.

Every Honda has a back up Camera (since 2013). You would need to be in the EX to get the Honda Lane watch camera off the right side.

At that point you could just put the car in park.

Civic LX has a not so good Info-Entertainment System. I wish it was the same as in the Sport trim and above.
I think that is part of how Honda encourages you to move up to the Sport...

Sounds like a phone setting issue. Would have to look into your exact phone and that issue.

I do not believe Honda offers this as an accessory, but you can get aftermarket parts for this.

The LX models offer an LCD screen. You typically have to clim b up to the Sport trim to get a touchscreen.
