Harman needs to learn every platform has something to offer when it comes to gaming Man he needs to stop being a fanboy because this is getting ridiculous for him now

I mean you're not wrong people should have every console I do except the steam deck but that's just because I'm not a PC guy I don't care about PC but you're right they are all worthy and have something to offer.

@@That1PissedOffBoomer consoles can get malware what are you talking about it’s literally just a highly custom pre built pc with a completely closed operating system all it takes is for someone to make malware for it which i’m sure already exists any electronic device with an internet connection can get infected with malware

Dreamcast flopped due to mainly Sega's in-fighting and debts, the Saturn's failures (also thanks to said in-fighting and the PS1), copy protections and finally the PS2 which came out a year later and had a bit more power than the Dreamcast but also doubled as DVD player when standalone DVD players were pricey (so get a ps2 instead: CD player/DVD/Gaming, 3 birds with 1 stone). Nintendo had next to nothing to do with Sega's demise, Sony did that. Also, can't wait to finish saving up to eventually get a Steam Deck myself.

His argument about the 5th Generation of consoles as to why power doesn't matter when it comes to sales is actually ironic because the real reason the PlayStation sold more than the Nintendo 64 is that even though it's technically a weaker console, it's way easier to make games simply because they run on CDs rather than cartridges. Not only does this allow for more space so you can add cutscenes, rendering games like Final Fantasy 7 and metal gear solid nearly impossible to run on the 64, but you could also play DVDs, something you still can't do with any Nintendo console for some reason. Even with the Gamecube, which was also pretty powerful, because they used small discs, which while charming, was a baffling decision because it held way less storage space than normal CDs, which also meant that no DVD compatibility and way smaller games, which is why the PS2 EMBARRASSED the Gamecube.I'm not trying to shit on the Gamecube, it's my favorite console for a reason, but there is a reason linked to incompatibility as to why it failed, and power is important for compatibility, especially in the modern age. It's one thing to say that graphics don't matter that much when it comes to games, which yeah, unless it looks like Scarlet and Violet, there is an argument to be had there, but consoles ABSOLUTELY needs to have power so they can run games. Games like Arkham Knight and Elden Ring aren't solely good because of their power, but because the Nintendo switch can't run them, or in the case of Arkham Knight, runs them terribly, then that's a major flaw with the console in comparison to the rivals that have been able to run these games over ten years ago.
you know if nintendo really wanted to make a lot of money they would put there back log of games on the switch eshop indilvidually i'm sure people would buy them especially the game cube game and to those who say get the original games and hardware all i have to say is retro game prices are out of hand and way to expensive

Im a collage student. I use my steamdeck along with a Bluetooth mouse and keyboard in class to take notes and sometimes do my work on. Then I dock it, use it with a moniter to study on then switch to games.
@@BirdSpotter43 Really? May I ask what sort of Bluetooth mouse and keyboard you use for your Steam Deck, as well as the dock, please?
@@JestanDiams I bought a folding keyboard from Microcenter. It's their inland brand. Same for the mouse. The dock is just an Anker type C hub. With most things being browser based nowadays I've yet to run into any compatibility issues on Linux. I just access everything from Firefox browser on desktop mode.
The keyboard is full wireless and the mouse uses a usb dongle I plug into the hub.
I use the Libre office suite(no browser and better then Office in my opinion) or Google docs for note taking. The screen is a decent size for these basic tasks and saved me buying a laptop.
I don't think Harmon realizes that Nintendo uses emulation for all the old games on NSO, by his own logic Nintendo is pirating their own games and profiting off of them which invalidates everything he says

Same, after all the reviews and the fuss I bought switch for botw when it was launched, and hated it, your weapon breaking constantly was a deal breaker not fun, sound effects was childish. It just get the praise because it is Zelda. I never grew up with Nintendo and it didn't clicked with me. Scores are based on nostalgia only.
@@WhiteshadeI understand not liking the game, and this is coming from someone who not only doesn't care about breath of the wild, but zelda as a whole, but saying people only like it because of nostalgia or it's another zelda game is just ridiculous. I mean Zero Punctuation shits on Nintendo for nostalgia and brand recognition all the time, and even in his smash ultimate review, he says that Breath of the Wild is a good game, but he doesn't like Link in smash because he doesn't really represent why that game was good and is just brand recognition in that game.
