- Just as I had predicted, @blackcatbooks64 is allowing yet another game that he has absolutely no interest in playing live in his head rent-free. For whatever reason, he raises some serious issues whenever others talk about games instead of playing them, yet when Harman is doing that exact same thing, notice how suddenly, it's no longer wrong. Talk about "rules for thee but not for me," huh?

I didn't notice it in the video, but Harman used a hateful slur in this video, and as an Aspie myself, I... really don't care, but he should be banned for using said hateful slurs.

@@CaptainB1994 I do, indeed. I was diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome back when I was in 10th Grade. While I was upset at having it at first, over time it's been both a blessing _and_ a curse.
@@JestanDiams I was diagnosed about 4 years after you I was 19, I remember it well because about a month later my nephew was born and I met him for the first time after a final meeting with the people who assessed me and tbh getting the diagnosis explained SO much about why I did and said some of the things I did and said amongst other things, at first I wasn't happy with the diagnosis but after my brother (the father of my nephew and the one who on the recommendation of a friend who works with autistic children, recommended I get assessed) explained things to me I've come to the realisation that it's just another part of what makes me, me plus I've made a bunch of great friends due to having Asperger's so i can't complain that much.

BG3 actually handles very well on controller. Just make sure you have Steam input disabled on it otherwise you'll constantly get a "another player is joining you" whenever you interact with an object or person
one thing you can do in baldurs gate 3 that you can't do in tok is talk your enemy to either not fighting you or they can be talk into helping you
What is he so mad about? I discovered your channel recently and so I’ve never heard of this other loser. Why is he so invested in being anti any game that isn’t Nintendo?

dnd is one of the few game where your choice matter in some cases your action could lead to the whole party dyeing

Jestin I just bought Baldur’s Gate 3 on PS5 and it plays absolutely beautifully it works very well with a controller and i haven’t come across any glitches I so absolutely suggest getting it I about 10 hours in it’s a definite must play 👍

I'm a little late to the party, but finally got my hands on bg3 and playing on the steam deck lol. Enjoying it so far, about to get to act 2.
Neverwinter Nights and bg2 are my favorite, which runs great on steam deck.

Yet it is the most innovative Role Playing Game since Elder Scrolls IV Oblivion came out. Yes it has been that long since a great RPG has come out and Baldur's gate 3 doesn't have horse armor DLC.

I also recently played Horizon Zero Dawn it is also better than Tears.

oh the thing you can do in balders gate three i'm not even that far in the game and have been getting side track from objective im trying to get to and all the races you can try and classes
So, Nintendo boy has a point that real D&D can be superior to Baldur's Gate 3, with the right group tabletop roleplaying can be unbeatable.
Still, not everyone has a group, not everyone had a good group and sometimes you just want to play by yourself.
That's very true, and it's something I find myself in quite a bit.

balders gate 3 is the only game i can think of where you can get in an argument with a squirrel
got it for ps 5 and it works great with the contoller
i can say b3 does give you advice but is hard some fights you can win through i might have strayed to far and ran into enemies i wasn't ready for

baldurs gate 3 would kill the switch and i don't think it would be the right game for harman it is to adult for him
It depends on how it's done I like DLCs some games are done but they just add more stuff to the game now when it's like that I don't mind I like season passes I feel as though that's the way to get more out of the game that I really like I just don't like microtransactions and loot boxes

To be honest (I'm only in Act 2 mind you). I feel like BG3 is indeed not as badass as PC players made it out to be.
On Console the controls are pretty shitty, the inventory managment is abismal. And Yes. Bugs. A whole lot of them. Not terrible but there are a lot of constant ones.
And the game crashed on me 4 time in 30 hours of playtime. (Now I'm at 40 and no crash.) Plus I really hate waiting 10 to 20 seconds because the ennemies don't know what to do.
But to me the biggest problem I have right now is that there are too many useless items. I know the game is a "close to perfect" "port" of the DnD experience as a game, but still.
Useless ingots? Come one. No weapon upgrading? No manipulable Enchantments? I feel like I'm playing less content than Fable 2 and damn. Fable 2 came out in 2008.
To clarify my point here's a list of the bugs I encountered. Somewhat in order because I go by memory. (Only one fixed after a Patch BTW)
(Keep in mind that I'm playing on Ps5. And I think the port to console is pretty weak.)
01-The "Wet" shader when in water shows underwear above the armor. (The one that got Fixed. And it's only visual and circustantial. Like. Really?)
02-Animations won't play, about 1/10. (Digging animations and Simple Attacks.)
03-If you re-arange your wheels they'll reset out of nowhere for no reason.
04-The loading screens are terrible especially as I'm playing on PS5 and it honnestly hurts. (All Load times take at least 20 to 40 seconds minimum. BTW Main Menu needs to load...)
05-The "Examine" window can stop showing up after you die or reload. (You need to reload again to fix it.)
06-Everyone wants to get laid. At a specific point. (Apparently a bug. I doubt it. I think it's just bad writing.)
07-The Cloth physics on characters will stop working at times. (Need a reload to fix.)
08-The game crahed on me twice while splitting items in my Backpack, Now I'm afraid to split anything. (By the way, why can't you split and give at the same time is crazy to me.)
09-A specific storyline gets stuck if you try and play both sides. I won't spoil here but I ended up not being able to advance the main Quest.
10-Ennemies will sometime just sit there for 10~20 seconds. Doesn't seem bad but in two fights I had an ennemy do it everytime. Probably lost about 15 minutes total in this one fight.
11-Sometimes the portrai of characters won't show up. (Both in menus and in the Hud.)
12-Either the mechanic is just bad or bugged I don't know but Sneaking is terrible. (The bug to me is that I have very High steal and yet, I always get seen walking in a Red zone.)
13-Moving from a map to another (again no spoils) I get a free Backpack everytime.
14-Crashed at one point while giving an Item to a companion and it got cloned. When exiting the menu the game crashed.
15-A certain Item which should be impossible to lose, you lose it for some reason.
16-Jumping. Jumping is a problem. 1.You're character might take a random route last second. 2.Companions are constantly staying behind cause thay don't know where to jump.
17-Oh and some checks for perception have there zone really baddly placed.
18-The last one I got was going under a bridge and a cutscene started on that bridge. So teleportation Blablabla and teleportation back down. (Again, we are talking about a "perfect game".)
19-My weapons sometimes are unnequiped when I launch the game or Sleep at camp.
And these are just the "Bugs" I encountered. Again playing for 35 hours.
(Although there are facts, there's also a lot of Opinions in this next segement. I'll be glad to discuss with anyone honestly.)
The resolution and Framerate are actually Ridicule. The game doesn't show much on screen and there's aliasing everywhere. (Even in Quality mode.)
The draw distance is litteraly 10 Meters in some regions. (Particularly at the start of the game there's a specific Wall and Door that Dissapears to leave a black box in it's place.)
Textures take seconds to load in dialogue and on map some even won't ever, they'll get better if you examine the thing. (Especially paintings. Paintings will look like Ps1.)
Facial animations being terrible, lip sync is close to none existant. (In a world where games lip sync to different languages and this one only has English Dubbed.)
Terrible writing at times, impossible paths unless your a LUCK GOD. And you'd get more chances at the lottery sometimes. (A specific event in the game with 3 30 rolls. So fun for completionists.)
Very dumb choices in terms of RPG elements. The maps are very small. The ennemies don't seem to respawn so, not a Open World at all. Nor farming. So GOD ITS NOT A RPG!
Only 12 levels total I heard. (Im level 7 right now and 2 of them only gave me Stat Bonusses.)
Some scripted events where you choices don't matter.
(I mean again, some say it's the best RPG of all time. The game technically isn't really a RPG. It's a DnD simulator.)
The music, although I love some of them, most feel like any Heroic Fantasy compilation you can find on TH-cam.
The slightest movement with the stick, and you attack the ground or a Table right next to your target.
For now in Act 2 only 3 different appearences on Swords the rest are Retextures. (It's the same for all weapons but Staves.)
Not being able to see Floors when you have characters on different floors is terrible. You need to switch to someone else to see.
Having to Give to a companion, switch to a companion then equip. I mean "Immersive" uh? Maybe if you would do it in game. In menus it's just boring.
The movement in combat is terrible, you might as well go baby steps to actually optimise your distance because the precaculation for long movement is crazy.
Fear is a terribly angering thing. 2 turns of cowaring and running away from your weapon that fell on the floor.
OH! Also. With a terrible interface and too many Items. I just wish the game would tell you what that NPC just gave you.
There's a text box bottom right. That could do that. And no one thought of that. Really?
So overhaul, People stop being Blind please. The game is as polished as any other AAA these days. It's just less obvious because people seem to go very easy on this game for some reasons.
Again most of the problem I have with the game might not exist on PC. We all know "master race" blablabla. But still, Larian Studios should know that most people play on Consoles.
So the console port should be taken more seriously because it can and probably is tainting the image of the game.
Because honnestly Larian Studios looks like CD Project right now. Not CyberPunk CD Project, but definetly Witcher 3 CD Project.
The bugs encountered are similar to the ones The Wicther 3 had at launch. That got fixed over a year.
I hope Larian Studios will fix the game as well as CD Project did with The Witcher 3 because Baldur's Gate 3 is definetly an amazing game, somewhere under the DnD simulation.
Because dispite all of that. I like the game. It's profound at times and I lived some amazing moments in battle.
But Overhaul for now it's not in my Top 10, and yes. Next year I'll have probably totally forgot about it. Unless Act 3/The Ending are amazing. Which honestly, I doubt.
Thanks to anyone who reads this rant fully, I wish I could make a review honnestly cause I hate the way this game is painted as a Messiah of gaming while it's obviously not.
And I think that an interesting debate could be had on it.
But still a pretty good game. And I'm gonna see it through the end. I wanted to go for an evil playthrough after. But I think I'll hold on to that until some patches of DLC.
Cause like that, it's not that interesting to me. I feel betrayed both by the Game and the Community saying it's a perfect game. But Hey. We all get dissapointed these days.
Paid 90 euros for the Deluxe and honestly I feel robbed. Kinda. Thanks the PC Players who hyped me up too much I guess.
