A lot of kids born in th 80's probably had a nan quite similar if not so overt. The second world war made people tough, especially in London. Nan is soft at heart but she had to put a tough front on to lead the family in many ways.
I was born in the thirties all my Aunties were like that we did nothing but laugh they would speak like that after the war we needed that loved them ❤ ♥ 💕 💖
Catherine Tate was on a chat show and Tom Cruise was also a guest. She told how she came up with the main character and did it live. Tom Cruise was doubled up laughing.
Love Catherine Tate🤣🤣 I told my grandchildren 23 18 16 I was going to be like Nan.. their faces 🤣🤣🤣🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧💞💞💞 nan said " she ain't here already is she ?" I do cry when I watch Catherine
Its sad but the truth is this type of nan is a rare and dying breed, as a kid from the 60s living in east and north london there loads of these types of nans and mums, nan tate brings back so many fond memories of me growinng up in the 60s 70s & 80s ❤️❤️
Absolutely liking your reactions boomer. Us Brits love watching you yanks reacting to British comedy. Could you please react to Catherine Tate nan, the mouse.
Catherine Tate, as we all know, was in Doctor Who with David Tennant. They both did a UK charity sketch for "Comic Relief" a few years ago... well worth a watch. th-cam.com/video/WxB1gB6K-2A/w-d-xo.html
Hi KB. You mentioned the great makeup she has. When U get round to watching Catherine Tate as Derek, (all scenes).select16.36 mins version, which several of you're followers have already mentioned, you will be highly amazed.
Brian yer big Muppet!....I know you must have a lot of content lined up to watch, but please, at some point watch Catherine Tates 'Derek ' character, you won't be disappointed, also, anything from 'Little Britain 'which will provide you with a large selection of characters to discover. Fantastic to see the channel growing, keep up the great work!
Would love to see you react to Joe Wilkinsons poem on 8 out of ten cats does countdown. It's not just the poem which is hilarious...it's Sean Lock's reaction, bless him. Never seen him laugh so hard.
I watched " Nan Taylor"( The Catherine Tate show) live at Sheffield City Hall, England. Nan taylor walked around the crowd,it was so funny 🤣😅🤣😂 she also did her character Bernie the sex crazed Irish Nurse.the posh family is anothe great Performance.
I guess you loved that one by the looks of it, there is one and she is a Scottish nurse, I will have a look and tell you what it is called, thank you for giving me a mention on your great channel X😀
You really need to watch the Nan- ugly child sketch. V. funny. Also, look out for Catherine Tate on Graham Norton where she explains how she got the Nan voice - short but very funny too.
Yes as a Mediterranean woman I do need some tips on maintaining my beard..... hope you waxed it to give that nice soft feel. Can't wait to watch... after this one.
The part you couldn't hear around the 5:15 mark after the dwarf comment is "she isnt here already is she" as she looks around her bed for someone short
I know this is a bit late but if you've not already the one when she's with late (since last year he sadly died) Paul O'Grady's pretty funny, when Joanie Taylor (the characters name who is Nan) is on it, its hilariously funny!
No such thing as a cold Muppet...too much foam, fur and a very clammy hand up where it warms ya heart...The grandson's girlfriend reminds me of my fellow Muppet Sam the Eagle
New to ur channel I've subscribed. I love Catherine tate especially the nan never fails to make me laugh 🤣.if not already can u react to the mouse one the nan in Catherine tate.
Nan, Scottish woman Nan, christmas day Nan, pound shop Nan , window cleaning (best) Nan, ugly baby. (Tesco) is the equivalent to woolmart supermarket You got alot more to see. Catherine Tate is one of the best British comedienne actresses from uk. You will die of laughter also wait til you see Come fly with me 😂😂😂
If you think her make up is good as Nan, you should check out her Derek character. There is a compilation somewhere of Derek episodes. I enjoy all of your clip reactions (very genuine).
Nan Taylor is a clone of my mother in law, and with the same vipers tongue when she wants, she’s a darling, aged 92 she can say whatever she wants to in my opinion 😂😂😂
You should watch Catherine Tate on 8 out of 10 cats. Its so funny. PLUS give Chris Ramsey a look. His live act is great, IT'S LIKE LIVING WITH THE FRESH PRINCE OF BEL- AIR is fantastic . Every man can relate too IT. VERY VERY FUNNY.
I think, with any comic character being transferred from a sitcom or sketch show to the big screen, will be watered down and cleaned up and lose what really makes the character funny. Like Mrs Brown for isntance.
You should try watching Sacha Baron Cohen in the film: Grimsby. Particularly the clip where he's hiding from the enemy, 'amongst the elephants'. I wouldn't want to spoil it for you by telling you what happens - you need to watch it to believe it. All I will say is that SBC and his brother were taken into care as young boys, but they were separated with his brother being adopted into a life of privilege - and becoming a spy??!! And SBC living a life on the breadline, and becoming a football hooligan - but then both of them are reunited.
If I may make a suggestion look up the comedian Steve Hughes I think you might enjoy his stuff. You might want to try Steve Hughes - "Cynical" or "Talks about gays" as a starter... and if she's not too busy, bring the Queen along for the ride. 😁
Hey KB, you're doing a great job, loving your vid's. Have to give props to you.....must be difficult catching everything being said with all these differing damn Brit' accents. Even the locals sometimes mis-hear things so what chance do you guys stand ?
Theres an interview on Graham Norton where she tells how she came up with this character... That alone is funny! Pretty sure Tom Cruise was one of the other guests
I think a few things this character says in her cockney accent, maybe a bit difficult for American ears. What you missed was - "she ain't here already, is she?".
"she's a dwarf?..............she ain't here already is she"?
“She’s a dwarffff”
“She ain’t here already Is she?” 😂
these Nan scenes with her grandson remind me SO MUCH of my relationship with my own grandmother!
A lot of kids born in th 80's probably had a nan quite similar if not so overt. The second world war made people tough, especially in London. Nan is soft at heart but she had to put a tough front on to lead the family in many ways.
😂 miss my nans ❤❤
I was born in 87…that was my dad…😂😂😂
A lot of our british nans are like that character. Not All , but most I have met. legends!😅
Catherine is such a genius!! So glad you find her funny!
I was born in the thirties all my Aunties were like that we did nothing but laugh they would speak like that after the war we needed that loved them ❤ ♥ 💕 💖
Your laugh and sense of humour is as good as the people you react to BRILLIANT
Catherine Tate was on a chat show and Tom Cruise was also a guest. She told how she came up with the main character and did it live. Tom Cruise was doubled up laughing.
I thought she was hilarious on the chat show, and yes Tom Cruise was in stitches listening to Nan.
"I'm pleased you're not a theatrical" went under the radar there 😂 English humour I suppose.
Catherine Tate themed Nan around a women she experienced in a nursing home while doing her acting degree. She talks about it on the Graham Norton Show
Love Catherine Tate🤣🤣 I told my grandchildren 23 18 16 I was going to be like Nan.. their faces 🤣🤣🤣🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧💞💞💞 nan said " she ain't here already is she ?" I do cry when I watch Catherine
My Nan was like this. She killed me laughing every time I was with her, and she got more vocal the older she got. 😂
Its sad but the truth is this type of nan is a rare and dying breed, as a kid from the 60s living in east and north london there loads of these types of nans and mums, nan tate brings back so many fond memories of me growinng up in the 60s 70s & 80s ❤️❤️
"She ain't 'ere already, is she?" Lol!
Omg my nanna was like, "This 😂😂 couldn't take her anywhere, hahaha
Seconding Shaun's suggestion for Miriam Margoyles on Graham Norton. & make sure the Queen is with you. She will LOVE Miriam!
Queen Boomer would love that too, I think.
Love these reactions, always loved this show.
Nan - Anger management - is probably one of her best
I love how Americans love English comedy!
@@tomcooke6359 such as?.. you can't rant like that and not back it up with suggestions for the other comedians that they aren't aren't patch on

I love her Derek character, I’m in stitches every time 😂
@@Rebecca_Bailey How very dare you! 🤣
The story of how she developed the character of Nan is flippin funny too.
"She ain't Welsh is she?" Could be a reference to Gavin and Stacey.
Would love to see you react to Joe Wilkinsons poem on 8 out of ten cats does countdown. It's not just the poem which is hilarious...it's Sean Lock's reaction, bless him. Never seen him laugh so hard.
Omg yess it makes to lose it everytime i see it
Yes, and not just Sean's reaction. No one keeps it together during that. One of the funniest things ever put on the telly.
there are plenty of nan skits to choose from they are all hilarious
Just love Cstherine Tate! She is always hilarious

3 celebrity guest sketches with George Michael,David Tennant and Charlotte Church hilarious also.
You really need to watch the Nan- ugly child sketch. V. funny. Also, look out for Catherine Tate on Graham Norton where she explains how she got the Nan voice - short but very funny too.
Reminds me of my gran'ma, so much, in so many ways.
Nan said after the Drawth bit ,she said, she ain't here already after looking around the room lol
Exactly the same as my mum even the accent is the same, bless her cotton socks.
It's one of the best scenes, great reaction. 🧓
"She yet here already, is she" that is what she said.
Yes as a Mediterranean woman I do need some tips on maintaining my beard..... hope you waxed it to give that nice soft feel.
Can't wait to watch... after this one.
Nan always does that cackle.
The part you couldn't hear around the 5:15 mark after the dwarf comment is "she isnt here already is she" as she looks around her bed for someone short
Sennheiser hd600 series, open back light as a heavy feather, very comfortable and music sounds amazing thru them lol! Just a suggestion!

The posh Yorkshire couple is still one of my favourites
Catherine Tate's Nan, was basically my Nan. Opinionated, direct and if she had a bee in her bonnet about something the air would turn blue.
New to ur channel I've subscribed. I love Catherine tate especially the nan never fails to make me laugh 🤣.if not already can u react to the mouse one the nan in Catherine tate.

It's not the loudness.... it's the crazy British accent!
I think, with any comic character being transferred from a sitcom or sketch show to the big screen, will be watered down and cleaned up and lose what really makes the character funny. Like Mrs Brown for isntance.
What you missed her saying ...She said '''she Ain't here already is she??!!''' 😅😅 After the dwarf comment.
Keep some headphones just by you, so you can quickly pop them on when needed
Filters hadn't been invented when nan was born 😁
“She ain’t here already is she?”
