He used to do 150-200 nights per year shows, 90mins to 2 hours long each, and his energy levels were the same from the first minute up to the last minute and never stopped moving on stage. I've only seen Jim Carrey full live twice, and yes he had moments of crazy energy bursts but this was only moment. Lee's energy was constant throughout the whole of his show. Hands down Lee had more energy than Jim Carrey, I would say Jim had about 10-15 minutes in total of crazy energy, Lee the whole 90 of the show.

Lee Evans live is something else. You get carried along on wave after wave of laughter. When I saw him he had a towel at the front of the stage which he used regularly. Oh I love the fact that he’s a lovely person in real life too. I saw him at the Cliffs pavilion in the Maritime rooms not long before he hit the big time . He was hilarious and I knew he’d go on to be a star . I really hope he returns to touring one day x
Lee evans actually has done mimes, he mimed the whole of the queen song bohemian rhapsody and where he was a 3 man band. Maybe he's done mote but those are only ones that I can think of.

@@stevemcmosh4271 Ah yes, he could spot high crime and low crime... Is that crime? No... no crime here... Nasty! Crime! Boy! Probably not guna get that reference... 😕
Lee Evans v Jim Carrey - in their prime Lee, no misguided loyalty just having had the privilege of seeing him at this period in an audience of only 50-60 people (unannounced secret gig) I could see the physiological stress his body went through. Non stop, unforgiving and utterly relentless for 90 minutes. Simply incredible.
Policing from horseback is extremely effective in certain situations such as sporting events. Officers can view the crowd from a high vantage point, can hear what’s going on, and can move 10 people at a time with a gentle broadside of the horse. This could not be achieved with a car. Lee Evans retired in 2014 because he was away from his family so much, with him doing upwards of 70 dates in a single tour as well as his long time friend who was his manager dying. I saw Lee at one of his ever shows in Brighton, it was such an amazing thing to be apart of. You just can't top that kind of energy. His bigger shows during his later tours such as the ones held at the O2 Arena has over 60,000 people. You should react to Lee's "How company directors pay themselves more money" skit during one of his earlier tours. It's absolutely hilarious
The landlord of the pub next door to where this was filmed gave him his first break and allowed him to perform there. So when he did this final tour he decided to film the DVD of the performance in this city as a way of having things come full circle. I was at this performance with my parents at the time and the look on my dads face when he found out that they would be filming it was hilarious it was a mixture of fear embarrassment and shock. My dad is quite a shy person so this was like a nightmare to him. Fortunately we were never filmed be he still dosent believe we didn't know.(they only announced it when we got there so how could we know) anyway we all had a good time regardless and we're sad to hear when he announced his retirement after the sudden death of his friend/manager.(I think he took it as a sighn it was time to calm his life down)
I went to see Lee Evans live a few years back. My ribs and cheeks hurt within five minutes of him coming on. I laughed solid for two hours. At the end I was totally exhausted.
One of my favourite comedians EVER to watch. Watched him first with my mum when I was a kid. Always wanted to see him live but never got to before he retired :((
Seen him one in a show and he was so histerical I could hardly breath. Only one of a few comedians in the UK that could sell out a full stadium. He retired a few years ago but his comedy is still the highest of quality and no one has matched him since he left. A true comedy legend
Lee Evans is still my favourite comedian , his energy , faces and noises , jokes and music is all top quality , he retired around 2014 or so hasn't done anything except the Graham Norton show I think since but we all hope one day one last hoorah but if not he earned his retirement he was all or nothing !
Lee Evans is one of my all time favourite comedians, lee was always full of energy, nerves and always sweated like a water tap and the most funniest part of his acts are always the faces etc he does lol watch more like when Lee did Queen - Bohemian Rhapsody XD and you will lose it or as you say it will kill you (of laughter), i enjoy watching your reactions, great stuff 👊 and i would say Lee Evans had more ''energy'' than jim Carrey.
If you have not seen them, Lee was in a few films One was Mouse Hunt with Nathan Lane and the other was "Something about Mary" You should watch them ^^ lol
Congrats on your 50k subscribers, well deserved. I love watching your reactions, your laugh is very infectious. Loving the Inbetweeners reactions as well. We have quite a few very good Stand up comedians here, Michael McIntyre and Rhod Gilbert both reduce me to tears of laughter much like Lee Evans does.
Much respect for Lee Evans, retired at the peak of his career, literally left us wanting more, to enjoy his life with his family. Not only did he have a lot more energy than Jim Carrey,...Lee Evans didn't come with all the late career political nonsense,...he understood he was an entertainer, and he knew when to call it a day and become a private citizen again. Great guy.
Lee Evans live at Wembley. I swear brother, hilarious from start to finish. He does bohemian rhapsody on there. Man, you have to see this if you haven't already. Peace man
In England Lee always reminds me of a dearly beloved comedy actor from the past. @ 1950s . He was Norman Wisdom. lee is a supercharged version of Norman. And must have studied Norman (one of the greatest).
Hello! This is from Lees very last tour before he retired!! It’s hard to believe this is was in 2014 which is 9 years ago. Lee Evans was one of those rare comedians who brought physical stand up comedy to the fore. He sold out to so many venues. So many people want him to come back. I really do miss him but Lee deserves his retirement for all the years and effort he put into every show. He’s not just a physical comedian. He sings on every show at the end. Each song is well put together and are all second to none. You really need to review Lee’s Bohemian Rhapsody sketch. I promise after watching it you won’t be able to think about this song without being reminded of Lee Evans when it plays
Jim Carrey and Lee Evans both give of the same Energy in my book. Also yeah Lee is the spitting Image of Norman Wisdom. One of the best British Comedians of his time.
I really regret never going to see Lee Evans live..... He was an amazing on stage comedian and fantastic on screen in movies & TV shows... Always reminded me of Norman Wisdom & Jerry Lewis...
Met Lee many times, as I work in a Theatre..a genuinely lovely, humble man..an absolute pleasure to meet..his gigs were great, so funny! He is retired now though.
Lee Evans did about 2 hr shows with an interval...and he would change suit cos he would sweat so much it would actually soak his jacket...seen him live 3 times....a huge UK comedian.
i saw this show live at the o2 in London in 2014. It's one thing seeing it on you tube or the TV, but it's another to watch it live, even if you are watching the screens more because you're so far back and he's so small because of KEKW. His song at the end of his show is a highlight too. You should 100% react to Norman Wisdom, the person who Lee took A LOT of inspiration from.
This is one of my favorites of his stand-up routines and most definitely in my top 10 for sure... just his raw energy is absolutely amazing, he's one of the best comics to come out of the UK and one comic us British love!!!
Energy levels? Lee of course - his live shows went on for hours! Then he'd finish with playing the piano and a song. Very talented man. Good comic actor - Mousetrap and Fifth Element. Only recently retired wanting to spend more time with his family as he was away on tour a lot. That's our loss. Still we have his shows on line etc.
In the UK Police Horses are used for crowd control mainly at major sporting events (football matches / Rugby etc). If a Police Officer on a Horse tells you to stay were you are until the area behind the Horse is clear particularly when opposing fans are close by you do it.
Lee is so funny. So many times he has had me in hysterics. Such as when he says when ya wife or girlfriend sidle up to you on a dance floor at a Wedding and puts you in a bad mood before she tells ya. She says, I’ve got something to tell ya right but, when I tell ya, don’t go off on one, cos I know what your like and your saying WHAT THE FXXXXX HELL IS IT. 😂
Hi KB, Pity Lee retired early back in 2014 when this DVD was filmed on his 'Monsters' tour he did 5 nights here at the National Indoor Arena, Birmingham which holds 16,000, He's sadly missed here in the UK and now Florida! Cheers Jim
He burned out...given how high octane his act was, it's amazing he lasted as long as he did. Obviously made enough money oto take it easy for a few years.
Saw him at the NIA whilst I was at university about 20 years ago. He was great and did the Bohemian Rhapsody skit as part of a significant encore! Back then, you were lucky if you could get a ticket. The guys longevity is incredible.
As someone from England Lee Evans and Jim Carrey are the same as (English) Chips vs Fries. He retired in 2014. I got to watch him live on his last tour. Which is the one you're reacting to. It was over 2 hours long and I swear I have never in my life laughed as hard as I did that night. My stomach muscles were so sore.
He made a rare TV appearance a few years ago on the Graham Norton show and despite being retired he hasn't lost any of that energy. A friend of mine met him once at an event his wife was putting on and she said he seemed really grumpy at first but turned out to be a really lovely guy.
Lee Evans retired from comedy in 2014, in his late 40s. He was still the UK's top-earning stand-up at the time. Is known to prefer the quiet life, and stays of the limelight.
We had to pause it to wait for my dad but no matter when you pause his face is always priceless 😂 also the s and m bit is probably my favorite lee evens moment. Maybe there are so many
I was a big Lee Evans fan when I was younger, so I really enjoyed this. I think Lee Evans live in Scotland was probably the one I found funniest. Check it out if you have time. Appreciate all the work you do to keep us laughing. Love watching things with you and the queen 🙂
horses are used for crowd contole in the uk more so at football matches...love lee evan followed him since he was really young on british t,v, he was even more animated when he first started
Having seen Lee Evans on DVD and live on 3 occasions, I miss his performances. I would gladly watch him if he ever decided to return to stand up comedy
Love your reactions and Congratulations on reaching 50k subscribers and I went to see Lee Evans on his last tour back in 2014 and It was a excellent experience and he is so funny
I got to see Lee Evans when he did his final tour. I saw him on the Wednesday night and then he appeared on a TV show on the Saturday announcing he was retiring. He was a comedy legend in the UK and tried to break into America and starred in a couple of films including There’s Something About Mary
Horses are great for crowd control as they won’t trample on a fallen body. Plus, people like horses and it’s makes the police more approachable. People will stroke and pat a horse and will often ask questions of the mounted police officer. One of my earliest memories is being hoisted up on my father’s best friend’s police horse. I was about three and the horse was so broad that my legs stuck straight out.
Saw him at the O2 in London years ago... my ribs hurt for 2 days, his take on marriage is amazing I was crying... cos I could draw the same parallels... fantastic observational humour...
Probably the funniest thing I’ve seen that made me inhale my coffee and come out through my nose was the comedy “Episodes with Matt Le Blanc and Stephen Mangham. I’m not sure if it’s on TH-cam but it’s the “ have you ever had sex with a deaf girl” scene. My ribs hurt for days after that. I still can’t believe they got away with it. Awesome.
went to see him live at the o2 when he was still doing gigs you dont even understand how much he will melt an entire stadium full to the brim of people. i miss lee
Lee evens is a true legend apparently he broke the record for the most sold out events at the O2 in London Lee has the most energy the Carey No one tells jokes that are true events more than Lee evens
I just wanted to say, in case you weren't aware. Lee Evans was also in the film Fifth Element, with Bruce Willis. He had a small ish part, but still animated and very funny 😂
I can remember a friend Jeff , was standing to close to a police horse , standing in the Queue outside a football stadium and the horse sh*t on his shoulder .
Yeah he has retired now and this video that you are watching on here was his final tour and luckily I got to go and see him live on this tour, incredible experience
I’ve seen lee 3 times & I swear it was bloody fantastic never laughed so much & yes he retired age 52 because he was not seeing his wife as much & never got to see his kids grow up
Lee Evans - Big - Live At The 02 was recorded at the world famous London 02 Arena in front of over 16,000 fans in October 2008. The five record breaking nights saw Lee perform to over 80,000
Lee Evans has been in a few movies you've probably seen, including the fifth element with Bruce Willis, something about Mary with Cameron Diaz and the medallion with Jackie Chan.
hes been my favourite comedian for years, you gotta watch a full show lol you just dont want them to end lol.... the Wired and Wonderfull show is a good one
For energy levels Lee wins hands down. If you watch a whole one of his tour performances you will understand, and always bought the crowd down at the end by playing the piano and signing which he is also amazing at. Which he did another tour so could watch again
Lee Evans is the spitting image of Norman Wisdom to me, in looks and mannerism.
yeh id also say a little bit of Jerry Lewis as well.
I think Norman Wisdom influenced Lee Evans a lot
If they made a film about Norman Wisdoms life Lee would be perfect for it
I've always thought that, definitely think Norman Wisdom was an inspiration for him

horses are used for crowd contole in the uk more so at football matches...love lee evan followed him since he was really young on british t,v, he was even more animated when he first started
Lee Evans will always be my absolutely favourite comedian.
I saw lee evans live in Brighton in 2005. He is special and does a great show.
Police on horses are renoun for being excellent for crowd control.
He is a comedy genius. Great entertainer and a good singing voice. I think he used to be in a band back in the day.
Having seen Lee Evans on DVD and live on 3 occasions, I miss his performances. I would gladly watch him if he ever decided to return to stand up comedy
He’s retired from stand up but still does play writing and the stars in the odd play himself. He’s a clever guy
Love your reactions and Congratulations on reaching 50k subscribers and I went to see Lee Evans on his last tour back in 2014 and It was a excellent experience and he is so funny
I would recommend Lee Evans "When the car breaks down" or his compilation on his wife excellent comedy
Lee Evans was doing this for 20-30 years last show just as much energy
I got to see Lee Evans when he did his final tour. I saw him on the Wednesday night and then he appeared on a TV show on the Saturday announcing he was retiring. He was a comedy legend in the UK and tried to break into America and starred in a couple of films including There’s Something About Mary
I see him live and couldn't drink my beer for laughing
His greatest mine was the Bohemian Rhapsody😅
Horses are great for crowd control as they won’t trample on a fallen body. Plus, people like horses and it’s makes the police more approachable. People will stroke and pat a horse and will often ask questions of the mounted police officer. One of my earliest memories is being hoisted up on my father’s best friend’s police horse. I was about three and the horse was so broad that my legs stuck straight out.
Saw him at the O2 in London years ago... my ribs hurt for 2 days, his take on marriage is amazing I was crying... cos I could draw the same parallels... fantastic observational humour...
Lee is a national treasure for me the funniest man alive.
I've seen Lee Evans live several times, he is so funny 😂 such a shame he retired, but he had spent so many years on the road.
Awesome.
Oh yeay! Just found this . I recommended this hilarious, loveable loon ages ago! 😂
went to see him live at the o2 when he was still doing gigs you dont even understand how much he will melt an entire stadium full to the brim of people.
i miss lee
Saw him during his last tour and he was brilliant
I grew up watching lee Evans he’s a legend he use to sell out massive shows
Lee retired in 2018, his daughter studied in University of Florida
Lee Evan's is also an actor, he was in The Fifth Element.
Lee evens is a true legend apparently he broke the record for the most sold out events at the O2 in London
Lee has the most energy the Carey
No one tells jokes that are true events more than Lee evens
He was excellent in the comedy film Mousehunt
I just wanted to say, in case you weren't aware. Lee Evans was also in the film Fifth Element, with Bruce Willis. He had a small ish part, but still animated and very funny 😂
Lee evans is awesome glad he made you laugh love from uk 🇬🇧 ❤
I can remember a friend Jeff , was standing to close to a police horse , standing in the Queue outside a football stadium and the horse sh*t on his shoulder .
Yeah he has retired now and this video that you are watching on here was his final tour and luckily I got to go and see him live on this tour, incredible experience
He's from my hometown, my dad went on a stag do with him! What a legend he is
I’ve seen lee 3 times & I swear it was bloody fantastic never laughed so much & yes he retired age 52 because he was not seeing his wife as much & never got to see his kids grow up
Lee Evans is the king of comedy .
As it happens he has a brilliant mime performance called 'Lee Evans Trio'. I highly recommend it.
Lee Evans - Big - Live At The 02 was recorded at the world famous London 02 Arena in front of over 16,000 fans in October 2008. The five record breaking nights saw Lee perform to over 80,000
That must of been great to experience so many there, I never been to millennium dome
Congratulations to 51000 subscribers enjoy your weekend and enjoy this nut job of a legend that is Lee Evans 🤣🤣😱👊😎🤟🙈🤣🤣
Lee Evans has been in a few movies you've probably seen, including the fifth element with Bruce Willis, something about Mary with Cameron Diaz and the medallion with Jackie Chan.
We use horses a lot in the UK for crowd control. Mostly at big football matches. A lot of people are scared of them.
There me wish I knew someone with a horse as love to experience hand feed one once in my life
hes been my favourite comedian for years, you gotta watch a full show lol you just dont want them to end lol.... the Wired and Wonderfull show is a good one
I had the pleasure of seeing this live at the O2 arena
Queen has to react to this!!
For energy levels Lee wins hands down. If you watch a whole one of his tour performances you will understand, and always bought the crowd down at the end by playing the piano and signing which he is also amazing at. Which he did another tour so could watch again
I've seen Lee Evans live and laughed so hard and ended up with hiccups
