This is my late Nan totally. I phoned her everyday and passed her house on way to/from work. Sometimes I didn’t make it, mainly due to work commitments, but I was still her favourite grandson. After she passed, we discovered she had kept a daily journal. It’s was full of entries when I failed to turn up and basically said no one looks after her, which was nuts 😂. I’m so sorry about your news mate. Your Sister would want you to be happy. I’m so sorry for your lose - I can’t imagine. From the UK, you’re in my thoughts 100%. You take good care fella. 💙

A Pound (£) shop (British currency) is the same as your ($) Dollar store. Everything is priced at a Pound. The Pound is the World's oldest currency in use. A pound in weight is connected in the past to the Pound currency also. Much of the weights & measures the US uses is from Britain. I believe you still use the name 'Penny' for your 1 cent coin too? I volunteered to do meals on wheels many years ago. I only lasted a few days, as the attitude of some of the pensioners i delivered to were worse than Nan!! Lol. I dreaded visiting some of them! 😆🇬🇧

My gran had her own language. Like if she said "He's a terrible man." it means "He's so funny." or "She's a wagon." means "She's an idiot." It was a joy to listen to her old-fashioned way of talking
Definitely makes me miss my Grandmother. She would always speak German and English at the same time and it would drive me nuts. Then I got older and it was the best sound my ears could hear.

Yes, meals on wheels is something we do here voluntarily, looking out for older people. I do it in my neighbour. It’s rewarding as often single elderly never see people and don’t feed themselves properly. I do odd jobs too. I’m not looking for praise, it’s just duty in this capitalist world! I’m very sorry about your sister. I can’t imagine mate. x

I see that you wear merchandise from two professional sports franchises in Seattle. You'll know that the Sonics picked up and left for Oklahoma City. That is the point. These "teams" are nothing but franchises that the owner can move for no reason other than it being in the owner's benefit. Why do people accept that? Just remember; the Seahawks could be playing in Oakland, St Louis or San Diego if the owner gets a better deal. American professional team sports is all for the owners.
The circumstances for all the Seattle teams have been ridiculous over the years. I was born and raised in Washington State and from the moment I heard of the Mariners, Sonics and Seahawks, I was hooked. I feel that I have a lot in common with these teams. What I mean by that is, we've both had opportunities for great things with great people, but came up short. We have a couple Championships, but mostly lingering in mediocrity. The owners are just greedy assholes who don't care about the fans and the fans are the reason they make their money in the first place. The Sonics didn't just pick up and leave, they were given away by dumbass Howard Schultz because he didn't know how to run a sports franchise. To this day, I hate everything Starbucks.
