6 foota mine is and it's a bit tricky but I did catch some good whiting bait and a couple of toadies once I practiced for a bit. Now I want a bigger net.

Great vid guys. Is there another recommended technique for the nylon mesh nets? I bought an 8 footer recently from you guys here in Cairns thinking it would be less prone to rips and tears when caught on rocks etc but it is bloody hard to get the cast correct. I have followed your technique in the video to the letter but it's always a shambles. Any suggestions?

I started out with only 1 in 5 opening up , 1 year later it's 1 in 5 that don't open correctly , keep at it and you'll get there guys 😉😃

Illegal in NSW but bought one to use in many trips to Qld. Excellent video. First caste in Yeppoon Harbour landed over 200 " yorkies". Too many for my needs but technique was perfect.
The next video should be on how to get them out of the net. LOL. 😀

I’m lucky enough to be in a area that’s 5m up the road that can cast here and it has mullet,herring,crabs,garfish,grunters,prawns,flatties,jewfish,bull sharks,threadfins,barra,perch …(catfish 🙄),eels….ugh you name it it has it it’s like a fishing paradise really 40k from the oceans mouth a lot of stuff comes up here to give birth ….just got a 8ft cast net see how it goes tmo with this method 😎
