Big Grizzly Cubs as Newborns and Leaving Mum Today

  • A Rare occurrence.. Grizzly Bear Cubs from Newborns(sorry for the shake) to Sub-Adults. It's very rare for Grizzly Bear Cubs to make it this far, and especially 3 Siblings together. They just left their Mother a short time ago and are finding their space together. Here the Grown Cubs become separated, but never venture far as we witness them reunite late the next evening. Their exceptional noses prove to be their most powerful tool in keeping together. As a Unit, these Grizzly Bear Cubs stand a much better chance of survival. More on Grizzly Bears..

    Such beautiful and healthy cubs! Mom did a great job! Safety in numbers works for these newly-independent sub-adults. At least till they finally go their separate ways. Life goes on!

    Such a Beautiful Momma Bear at the beginning, 🥰🐻🥰....& when they were Cubs, so darn cute!!.. 🐻🥰🐻🥰🐻... Momma Bear did a great job taking care, & protecting her Cubs..💛...she also taught them, how to use that nose... Great footage, thanks for sharing!! 🙂

      Yes, this Grizzly Bear Mum definitely did a great job! These Cubs are at an age where they will naturally get into a bit of trouble from time to time as they figure things out, but they are showing great temperaments and spirits so far. If/when the Cubs separate, it will make things much more complicated! Thank You MP!

    The adolescents might be smelling the smoke in the air. West of the Mississippi River north & south are a lot of fires. They have the look like “I’m not to sure about this”. It’s great you could keep track of them. Thank you 👍👍

    • @eksemos
      @eksemos 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Nature does not work that way. The cubs have to leave so that they can have their own cubs someday. Can you imagine if bears stayed together generation after generation and none of them left? You'd have huge sleuths of bears roaming the area that would be a massive danger to people and other wildlife, and it just would not make sense.

      The larger the animal, the more solitary they tend to be. That's because they require the resources of a larger area to support the food they eat. Pack animals, like birds, wolves, monkeys, and even humans, are much smaller, and eat much less than solitary bears, tigers, and moose.

    Good mama. Successfully raised 3 cubs! It is an apprehensive time of their life being a subadult. How is it like when mom chases cubs? I heard it can be painful to watch.

    • @WildlifeOnVideo
      @WildlifeOnVideo  3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      As expected, very confusing for the cub/cubs. Often there are several small instances that create distance slowly when cubs are this age. There was a lot of wandering in this case and eventually the distance just turned into separation. Of course when a Boar is the cause of the separation during mating season it is much more dramatic.

      There's a TH-cam video called Bear Attack at Denali...it's not a "bear attack", it's a sow forcefully/almost violently emancipating her cub. It's difficult to watch.

    hello, you did a great job, congratulations
    The thing to know is the moment when the mother abandons her cubs for the first time.. how is that..? I guess the puppies don't understand first and they don't go..? what is mom doing at that moment? Is the mother angry with the puppies?
    I have seen this behavior in my cats.. The mother gets angry with the kittens and does not allow them to approach..!
    thanks again and again... nice.. 🤲

      Often there are several small instances that create distance slowly when cubs are this age. What you mention is very similar in a lot of cases. There was a lot of wandering in this case and eventually the distance just turned into separation. A Grizzly Mum can/will "run off" her cub(s) at times as well. All we have witnessed so far is the gradual separation and/or a Boar on the scene with the cubs going their own way immediately. Thank you for your support Mrgurin!

    This is really nice. Mama bear did great! Do they feel sad if they seperate from their mother? I really would like to know. Thanks for sharing!

    • @WildlifeOnVideo
      @WildlifeOnVideo  ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Some times they stay close to Mum and show anxiety at this stage, yes. Other times, they just wander off, but still occupy the same territory.. some times for Years. Often this is why we might see Grizzly Bears come near each other as grown adults and get along rather than fight over territory. It can seem strange for a Huge Boar to come across a carcass and move off when a much smaller female(even with cubs) approaches.. often because it was His Mum. Thank You!

      Unfortunately bears are solitary animals and they break apart once the cubs are in sub-adult stage and momma bear moves on to start new litter of cubs by mating with another male bear.

    • @WildlifeOnVideo
      @WildlifeOnVideo  3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Often times we will see big bears meet and tolerate each other, even if they both have cubs.. or a Big Boar gives respect to a smaller mum with cubs on a carcass, etc. They will remember each other for quite some time. Thank you!

      Yes, they often do. A Grizzly Family beak-up often happens in June's mating season, so the cubs will usually stay together that season. After a successful hibernation, we usually see them on their own. Thank you Troy!
