While it seems like the Community and Tabletop (and even CDPR I think) has pretty much confirmed it’s more south near Morro Bay and San Luis Obispo? I’m thinking just a technical error on the fact that it’s in a tiny 2 min news broadcast (that most players will just hear and not watch) and most likely done pretty fast and by someone who most likely lives in Poland and if has even ever visited California it was very much as a tourist and not to study the Coastline lol. Or do you think it’s actually meant to actually be that North lorewise in game? Also I’m a Geography nut so I doubt even many Hardcore American Cyberpunk lore folks notice.
They sound more sympathetic towards the migrants, calling for Night City’s government to rejoin the union. They even use phrases like “unity.” I wouldn’t disagree about them being a corporate mouthpiece, but look at the news... they resemble every mainstream news station.
Mad Money guy (obviously a Jim Cramer parody) advises selling Arasaka in the Sun or Star endings. He's not an Arasaka simp, he's just immersed in the world in which corporate domination is the norm, and seeking to profit within this situation. His main moral flaw is never questioning the premise that capital should rule.

Yeah because Night City will rejoin no after the 4th corporate war and being abandoned the Night City government has no intention of ever rejoining and changed their stance to side with Arasaka to keep NUSA from reclaiming the city.
First Busan then Hong Kong, Night City is about to become the next Ghost City (Cities rule by AI) the Arasaka is the only corp that can fight with AI. Militech is in the stage of uncertainty we don't know much about their inside but we will know soon once Phantom Liberty release. KangTao, SovOil, biotechnica, petrochem, obitalair, ESM and more, the corporations in this list although might have their own militia they still have nothing compared to the big two. NUSA however seems to want control and I am sure that they know about the AI threats. I have a theory that it wasn't netwatch Yorinobu making a deal with. It was Night Corp and it's AI master. Disguise as Night Corp and there's a high possibility that Adam Smasher might want to work with AI than the Arasaka, he didn't like the Arasaka but they paid him well.
I'm afraid it's just a theory since in animals HQ you can find mails that confirm how evelyn was double crossing both parties... getting paid by voodo boyz to steal the relic chip and negotiating with netwatch agent bryce to sell them the relic after the heist.
in your fantasy game maybe, but in USA reality it is a huge waste of money without looking at the tunnels, planning drones to watch the border.. and in the end may be a huge cash grab for contractors that does nothing about the problem
I like how everyone likes using Fox News when talking about media biased when literally all of American news and media are biased. Just depends on what bias you favor, which lie is the more agreeable one.
@@KENZC62091 Because Fox News is not just biased, it's ULTRA biased. There are some that are much less blatant about it though, Bloomberg and MSNBC don't actually sound like complete propaganda from what I've seen of them.
