- I attended the First Annual International Adult Ballet Festival last week in Miami Beach, Florida! Julie from Broche Ballet put on this incredible week of dancing, learning and performing for adults of all levels and ages. I was there to do formal dance portraits of all the attendees, plus pop in to a few classes as my schedule permitted! (I was going to perform as well, but a small foot injury a couple months ago pulled me out of that option!) Enjoy this vlog of my week meeting so many amazing people and reconnecting with Julie and with Kirsten from The Confident Dancer. My heart is so full!

This is absolutely amazing!!! I’m a former ballerina and I still love dancing and I still take adult ballet classes!! I returned to ballet last year after 30yrs!! I danced/performed ballet for 16yrs, I was surprised how my body went back to as if to say thank you, this is what I’m used too, this is what I’ve missed!!🥳🩰💯

The Queensland Ballet here in Australia do regular classes and workshops for adults that love ballet they encourage seniors to join

@@BallerinasByNight Have you done a video on all the different adult intensives available to dancers? I saw a Pointe Magazine article online with several listed and watched your video on artEmotion in 2019 I think but if you have any more info, tips on selecting which one to go to, etc. that would be helpful. Making my 2023 ballet goals! :)

I'm an adult dancer at the School of Ballet Indiana and I danced when I was younger and stopped right before I was about to get ready for YAGP back in 2006. Now 15+ years later I'm back at it again and this time it's because I want to and not because I have to. Back in December I was in The Nutcracker in the party scene as one of the parents and now I'm the permanent makeup artist for mother ginger. Your video makes me so happy because adults aren't being taken seriously and it's not fair to us because we put in just as much work as the rest.
I reeeeeaaaallly wanna go next year. Like reaaallllyyyy

This is amazing to watch. (story time lol) I started ballet at the age of 6 and I stopped when I was 10. EVer since the pandemic I missed doing ballet again and I begged my mother to bring me back, and this made me less insecure because I gained so much weight through two-three years and I was so insecure of my body when I joined ballet again. (It's not that I'm calling you fat or whatsoever). I think in my mind, that even in such a old age you can still do ballet, (I'm 13 now) and I was kind of losing hope when I thought I was being behind because my balance and flexibility and technique was gone over the years of not doing ballet. And this video of you guys doing ballet for adults really motivated me into getting more better in ballet and stop being so insecure :)) I hope you guys see my point here XD

How many people have over 60 years old?. How many people have got reumatic or arthrosis in knees, heeps, etc?. This is the real adult ballet.
