Men retiring in the next 3 to 5 yeas, NEVER buy a new condo if you want to save $20 to $60k, when you can buy the same luxury condo in a building erected 5 years previous. You come to Thailand for quality of life and make your money stretch. Do what is best for YOU.

Thanks for the condo tour, it’s really interesting to me as someone considering Thailand now as a retirement destination, the condos there are beautiful. They are much bigger but cheaper than many I’ve looked at in the Philippines, which has been my most likely destination previously.
And it’s only a 3 hr flight to the Philippines. So you can have the best of both worlds 👍

I’m a single retired guy thinking about a few month stay in Thailand.
As a single guy I really do like the studio layout. In such a case I would replace the bed with a full length klik klak convertible sofa bed and reclining easy chair which I’m sure could be locally sourced their.
BTW, which model Go Pro do you use? Do you also use an external microphone?
Hey Ronnie. Austin the best city in Texas been there many times. I use the DJI Action 3 with wireless external microphone. The have excellent furniture shops here and would be easy to buy a sofa bed. I bought a new Lazboy for my condo as I have medical conditions. Easy to find

Fantastic amenities Cooper . Lovely 1 & 2 BR . Studio smallish . 7/11 & Family Mart ( I think ) on doorstep . . I can't recall you saying unit price for water & electric . With 20% occupancy now I guess you'll have to wait & see how busy it is high season as they rent out from one night .

Thanks Cooper . Yes , minimum rent one month for Juristic ofc . I said previously nightly , referring to Private Hosts on popular booking sites renting for eg 6/7- 7/7 1 BR 770 bahts . Fortunately I can see that DGP has very few private hosts renting daily/weekly ,unlike a lot of condo's in Jomtien/Na Jom..which are over run with private host short time high season rentals .

Looks a very nice quiet place & all brand new with great facilities too there..Jst off Thepprasit road I guess?? The decor & room layouts look quality & very reasonably priced too esp in low season. Friend of mine had condo there but sold it on while ago at a profit…which is rare these days. Will have to have look around wen I’m back in Jomtien. Thx again!! 😉😎

Does the livingroom couch in the one bedroom convert to a bed for a guest?
Also when you mentioned that your neighbor had a small pet, do you know if they own the apartment or rent? Sometimes only the owners are allowed pets.
My partner and I will be arriving mid Oct. is it possible to sign a one year lease with the contingency of getting your VISA approval…? Im just not sure weather we need to get a 1 month place, then move to Dusit Grand after we receive our VISA, or can they work with us for the first month?

Because they are building to fill the demand Thomas. As many expats want to retire here. If our condo was in Makati or BGC it would cost you $1000 plus a month here it’s only $300. No brianer really 😂
Great video! I am looking at retiring from the USA to Jontien now. I think I would take the 1 bedroom. I thought about getting a 2 bedroom but I don't think I would use the other bedroom as I would be living by myself. I would rather have a 1 bedroom over a studio and I would want the ocean view.. I just stumbled on this "old" video because i am interested in the Park II condos. Is this still viable, as there were some "problems" regarding staff a while ago? Does these deals still apply, or were too good to be true i the end ? These 1BR for 10k seem really good deal, but i cannot find any at the moment.

Yes baht bus is very nearby 5 min walk from here plus taxi is very cheap. I will be making a video about that soon. Stay tuned

I went there the other day, the "agent" was in the other office area, a Russian guy (not friendly). he showed me a 1 bedroom. cost was 14,000 for 1 year even cash in advance, internet on top was another 1,500. The only reason I would change from my current condo to that one is for the pool. The condo there is much smaller as are most of the new condo units as compared to the older building I stay at. I pay only 10,000 a month at my condo. I have a ocean view of Koh Larn and sunsets. My pool though is very small.

Hey brother. You have 2 options from my condo complex. 1). Motor bike taxi are just outside
2) the baht bus is about 6 minute slow walk to main road

Hey Coop, I never heard you give a discounted price for the studio….. I was thinking we might rent a 1 bed and a studio next to each other…. Which would be cheaper then a 2 bedroom. Would only need 1 internet, and 1 washing machine….
Studio is discounted from 10k baht to 8k baht for long term. It was in the video when I was talking to Jeeb in reception.

It's a lovely place Cooper and ticks a lot of my boxes, but it is a bit far from the baht bus route. I don't mind walking though. I don't suppose there are any indoor communal areas where you can sit on those really hot days and do some productive computer work without maxing out your aircon bill?
Hi Peter. The computer relaxation areas you are referring to tend to be in the high rise condo buildings. As their condos are much smaller and more expensive. We we just want to chill out with our laptops, we just sit under the cabana by the pool in the shade.

Where you live is definitely ridiculously cheap for the size of the rooms and other facilities. I'll definitely be having a look there when I am next out in October. Thanks for the introduction.

Hi Willy. The 1 bedroom was 10k baht a month long term which is $287 a month long term ie 6 months or more. The prices are in the video

Are units for sale? You mentioned no "communal fees" which means to me in "American" terms, these are apartments.
Hey Omar. Yes they are for sale too. In both Thailand and the Philippines there are communal fees if you own a condo. Here they call the association fees. However in Thailand the tenant does not pay it

It depends. I negotiated it so there was no deposit. You just have to smile be friendly and she may do it for you too. You can ask me anything brother that’s what I’m here for. YOU !!

I'm debating between Philippines and Thailand. Philippines condos seem over priced and undersized compared to Thai condos. Is that a "truism", or just an impression I'm drawing based on whose YT channel I'm watching? I seem to see a lot of 25-28 sq m condos for 1 in Philippines, while the 1 bed there you said was 36 sq m.
Your right brother condos are getting smaller everywhere. This is 36 sm and ideal size for us. And cheaper than what we paid for a 28sqm condo in the Philippines

I find it’s better to go straight to the condo complex as you cut out the middle man and more often than not they pass that saving onto you. I’m on a NON O retirement visa

All the builders must be midgets! There building Monster Condos 37 square meters. There all empty! Nobody wants to live in them long term! Too small to live in Long term! There Good for a few weeks on vacation, but 2 people in 37 square meters will drive you insane. You will see! Everyone has to learn the hardway! 37 square meters is a jail cell with 2 people in it. No where to hide from the girlfriend. Lol
The Studio should have room for a couple of easy chairs or a two seater sofa, otherwise you have to lay on the bed to watch TV 😕@@CoopersThaiAdventure
