@@johngroening4996 I think if it is an Apple phone there is an option but if it is an android phone you can not stop it. The usb port at the bottom of the controller can be connected to the phone and that will stop the charging.
I just got my replacement and I have spent the last 4 hrs trying to update everything! I’m still getting up error on my sensors which have been calibrated . I can’t enven log the Dji assistant
Just wanted to let you know that some of us out here pulling out our old Mavic Pros for the second time in 5 years appreciate going back and watching your videos. I also just purchased the Mini 3 pro but wanted to play with my Mavic Pro first.
I've watched probably 30 videos of the mavic today. This one was the best so far. You actually explain things other people dont even think of showing. Thanks man
This is my first drone. I’ve wanted one for years and finally bought the Mavic Pro. The included instructions were awful, the worst. I couldn’t even figure out how to charge the unit, let alone fly it and take pictures. Therefore, I went to TH-cam to learn. After watching a dozen videos, I still wasn’t getting what I needed. Finally I found FlytPath. The information was exactly what I needed. Very clear instructions with great pictures. I was finally able to get the batteries charged, firmware updated, etc. It took me half the day, but I feel so much more comfortable with my new drone. Can’t wait to get it up in the air. And, I’m looking forward to more instruction from FlytPath.
This video is still relevant in 2019! Just purchased my 1st drone.. Picked up a very slightly used Mavic Pro with extra accessories for $400.00. This guy wanted the pro 2. Thanks so much for this video. I made my 1st solo flight today... I’m hooked! Just ordered 2 extra batteries on Amazon gen 3 SD cards,
We just ordered the Mavic and your videos have been so helpful in helping us choose which model we wanted. Hopefully, they will also save us from crashing it when we get it. Thank you so much.
Thanks very much, an excellent primer. I looked at another mavic pro intro but you filled in several blanks that were not clear on that video. Very glad I watched yours. Subscribed.
Great video. I just ordered my Mavic Pro Platinum today and am trying to watch as many of these do/don’t videos as I can find before it arrives. Yours are among the best. Nice format, efficient, nothing superfluous, and you’re an excellent presenter. Appreciate it.
Just ordered a new Mavic Pro Platinum. I watched your video to get a head start on understanding the drone. Very helpful and clear instructions. Thank you for taking the time to make the video and post it.
I just started the setup process and realized I had no idea where to start and the direction booklet is useless. The panic set in and your video was the first one I found. Thanks. You made it easy for me to get started. One point you missed that I picked up before starting is to remove the protective stickers on the position sensors, or the calibration might not work. I'm writing this during firmware upgrade, so I have not experienced it first hand yet, but another video warned against the protective stickers needing to be removed. Thanks again for this instruction. If I feel lost again, I will definitely look to you. Very thoughtful, clear and useful tutorial.
My wife and I are so appreciative of your instructional videos for the Mavic Pro. You've clarified and gave us lots of confidence! Keep up the great work :)
This is one of the best and clearest instructional videos I've ever seen. I just received my Mavic Pro yesterday and this makes things much easier. Thank you.
Bill Tjaden You Absolutely Are Correct!!!! Sooooo many people nowadays absolutely ruin their videos by putting Godawful music in the background. It's most times completely annoying and not needed at all!!!
Aldryn, You're doing a really good job of making it clear. This is a great video to help people like me that take a little longer to figure it out. Good job and safe flying!
Thanks you for your video tutorials on the DJI Mavic Pro. I just got the Platinum Pro and I’ve found your videos to be the most concisely informational! I also enjoy all your photo/video tips and instructions. Dude, you’re awesome! Thanks again!
Just wanted to say, awesome guide man. I know this has been a year but this helped me out after buying a used mavic. No instruction booklet or starter guide came with buying a second hand Mavic Pro. Thanks!
Looking to buy the DJI Mavic Pro soon and truly appreciate the time and effort that you put into your Mavic start up videos. Helped alot in making my buying choice for it's ease of use, size, capability and use for search and rescue and possible local after the fact damage assessment of a tropical cyclone within my immediate area in Hawaii. Thank you.
So far the most clear & concise explanation I've seen of getting the MP ready to fly. Thank you, this also helps to alleviate my "newbie jitters" about the process which until now seemed a bit daunting and complex. It's NOT! Mine gets here Thurs, can't wait.
You sir are the BEST!!! and thank you for your help in setting up my Mavic. Since the latest update to software it actually knows No Fly Zones and keeps drone flyers from taking off...excellent. I live near Sea Tac airport in Seattle and it knows NOT to fly here. DJI and you are a winning combination. I will be coming back for all of your Mavic tutorials. This is not merely another drone this is an "aircraft" and as such flyers need to fly it responsibly. Again thank you...Al

Close the wings b. Click on POSITION d. Click on DRONE ICON (BLUE) -top left i. Then ADVANCED SETTINGS BELOW f. CHECK CALIBRATION of SENSORS i. Click on SENSORS to check calibration ii. If ëxcellent”- leave alone iii. To Calibrate: 1. Press Calibrate 2. Follow instruction 4. Follow the diagrams in the software. g. CHECK CALIBRATION OF GIMBLE FOR CAMERA i. Put Mavic On Flat Surface with Power On 1. Settings 2. Gimble icon on the bottom left & choose gimbel auto calibration h. PUT ROTORS ON i. White with white, etc ii. Press down and turn to lock
Great video than you so much. Other videos say that you should have line of sight for your drone but I don't see how that is possible all the time. For instance you might be in a wooded area and once you fly past some trees you can't even see the drone or if you went around the bend of a hill - the same thing. Would you explain or what happens if the drone is not in a line of sight?

How frequently or when, after the initial calibration, should the IMU and gimbal be calibrated?
IMU when you first get it, after you do firmware updates, and if for some reason your Spark seems to drift or does not feel stable in the air. Gimbal calibrate the same. First get it, after firmware updates and also if you horizons seem to not level out appropriately.

Very helpful video, thanks..
Glad it was helpful!
Really good tips video. I will definitely follow your tips when I get my mavic next week. You got a new sub :)
I appreciate it. New video uploading now.
Thanks :) Brilliant mate - just got mine - charging the batteries for its first run...
Looks a lot different from my Parrot and way smaller
Have fun flying Frank. Keep me posted.
Fantastic video thanks. Just got a Mavic 2 and this is gold.
Excellent instructions and very helpful. Thanks for sharing what you have learned and experienced.
