In terms of attendances, they both get big crowds and always show up away from home. It's hard to believe though with Newcastle their last major domestic trophy was 1955.

I think these are stupid arguments. There’s no agreed upon criteria though I like that you’ve set your own. They’re always going to be subjective, especially between two fierce rivals. Ultimately, does it really matter? Everyone’s club is the most important to them and that’s all that really does count.

There's a feasibility study currently being done to see how big they can expand St James and a fan survey to see if supporters would rather have a brand new stadium. It's quite likely St James or a new stadium will hold 75-80,000 in the not too distant future.....and it will be full every week
