I like the look of the pewter metals. Pewter was a poplar metal to make things from during colonial times. Silver was popular too and, of course, was use to make constitutional silver coins.
Mint medals made of pewter were issued by the United States Mint as part of the American Revolution Series in 1975. I just recently added the constitutional silver to my collecting.
