Thank you so much Daniel for doing my Father in Laws collection the time it deserves. He did spend many, many years on the kitchen table going over that collection. It was very difficult selling his collection. I am sure he is smiling down being glad so many people will enjoy his collection. Thanks again Daniel.
I have watched this fella for over 4 years and I feel he is one of the most honest coin collector dealer there is I recommend to people when they ask where to buy from he’s got a gift a talent and a Finley tuned skill should be in coin world magazine for huge influencer
You're my hero Daniel!! True story!! Such a good man. Honest. Real. Standing ovation. My condolences to the family as well! You're the man , man. Ty for sharing this. I just need to say ty for this video. I have some serious PTSD and night terrors. I really needed this at my 430 am. I can't say ty enough. True story .😞😏.
This video truly was exciting. The fact that you've don't this for decades and still get legitimately excited going through it all. I'm the same way and I've been collecting since I was about 12 or so. I'd mow yards back in the early 2000s then convince my dad to take me to town in wilmington ohio, or Washington court house so I could buy some coins. There really is just something special about the history of coins and collecting them that goes father than just the value. The memories of my younger years with my dad etc. Now I've got my kids 6,8 and 10 I to it. Thanks for taking us on this awesome adventure with you Daniel!
Working in a coin shop and knowing the amount of work you have ahead of you Daniel, makes me feel exhausted. My collection is fully documented in spreadsheets and as well in PDF files showing pictures of every coin along with specs and descriptions. This is not only for me but for some future purchaser to make his job a lot easier.
That is a totally cool collection. That is so amazing. Some of the things you show us on your videos. Wow I’m amazed. Thanks for sharing. You have a wonderful night Daniel.
Daniel...thanks for sharing this man's lifetime collection. It becomes harder to sell a family member's collection upon their passing. At lest we KNOW that you are trustworthy and I am very thankful that they weren't taken to a pawn shop. I am sure you'll find some very wonderful treasures in this huge collection. God bless the family that lost their loved one.
Sending Blessings to this family and a RIP to the Amazing collector! Daniel I enjoyed this video so much especially since mine I could put it in a shoe box😊 but I'm inspired to keep collecting so please keep showing and teaching us!❤
This is one of the reasons i love your videos, you have passion, respect, knowledge for the coin collecting hobby and its community, i have inherited a few small collections over the years and honoring the previous collector is an awesome thing to do. Great job n damn it was a very nice collecton. Keep putting out the awesome videos daniel!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you
It would take me at least six months to look through all of those coins while enjoying the thrill of owning them. The saddest and most real thing about coin collecting whether you have an expensive set or simply a fun set is knowing that you can’t take them with you. You surely can enjoy them and have pleasant experience sharing them with your family, or make other happy by helping them improve their collection. Thanks for sharing this collection with us. Best Wishes.
That's a huge collection. You've got your work cut out for yourself. One thing I'm sure of is the family did good to send the collection to you. Those coins, while most are common, and circulated, was once a cherished possession that obviously was many years in the making. Their trust is well placed. 👍
This was a great collection thank you for sharing, It made me thing of working in my uncle's pawn shop In my early teens pricing coin and the time he bought 5 gallons of "junk silver" I spent a month going through it no rare dates but it was an amazing time and I got my first seated coin in it a slick 1877 quarter I was so happy when I found it you would have thought I found a 20 dollar gold piece
This man reminds me of something my Boss told me in 1963 when I was 18 years old and first learning the Retail Deli business.. "First you gain the Customer's confidence, then you can do whatever you want with them!'. There is no possible way he could have come to a 'fair' or 'honest' offer on this collection without seeing the condition of each coin firsthand, UNLESS Offer was based on an estimated 'weight' of precious metal content. The majority of Dealers Buy at scrap silver/gold spot prices, and Sell as close to Numismatic book values!
First, Daniel condolences to the family, and congrats that the family honored you to help them with their collection. That is a very big collection. It looks like you have your work cut out for you. Thanks for sharing, and have a great day.
I love your videos Daniel. I ordered my first coin from you yesterday, a PF70 US Marines commemorative from 2005. 2005 was the year I first went in to combat in the Marine Corps and the coin and date of it really hold a special significance to me. I’m glad you had one for the best price out there. It was literally the best price compared to everywhere. Thanks.
Man I love your channel. This one was a jaw dropper. I can't imagine looking through this entire treasure trove for interesting things. I can imagine the original collector enjoying collecting each item over a liifetime. All the best to you from NY.
I'm sure you're already aware but safes with digital keys are easy to get into. All you have to do is pull the keypad like you're changing the batteries and replace it with one you have a code for. Nice collection btw. I wish I wasn't so far away, I'd like to visit your shop, maybe learn a few things in person. Good video
Awesome collection Daniel. Sorry that you had to get it the way you did. But this is also a PSA.. This collection looks like most. mine included.. so it is time to put a little time and effort into getting all of the coins out the plastic bags they are in and start putting them in flips and organizing them.. getting them better sorted and organize, i may never know what i will find hiding in my collection.
You are like a kid in a candy store I would be the same . Great history with Franklin mint the best ,have historically influenced US mint as well as South America Central America. Nice collection huge be there for months trying to keep the best or sell it. All I can say wow . any notes old new if not why ? This guy like stuff and could not put it down .collecting is hard work. Thankyou
You are awesome Daniel. Your enthusiasm is wonderful. I would be overwhelmed if I received a collection like that. WOW. What is the dollar value of a collection like that?
Being honest here now. At first I did not like you.... after seeing this and what you said and did...my respect for you has totally reversed. You are a good man!
Perhaps one day, you could do a video on how one would go about pricing a coin collection at a flea market, garage sale or buying someone's collection. Under normal circumstances, time constraints would not allow going through a large number of coins, currency, etc. quickly and make an offer. Obviously, any proprietary information you use cannot be shared. Thanks!
You need to know your coins to do that, there's no short cuts except knowing the melt and using that as a guide, then using your phone. Knowledge of coins is the best thing to have in that situation, but might be a decent video.
@@CoinHELPu Thanks for the answer. Calculating the melt value is relatively easy. Trying to price coin premiums quickly when coins differ greatly in a collection is a real challenge. One wants to be fair to the seller, but not overpay at the same time. Lots to learn.....
thanks for doing this How amazing and i know you are one of the most knowledgeable coin person around and you understand what does not matter when talking about what the value of things are >> it is a little cringe 😬 when someone like me that thinks NO NO you just wrinkled that paper or ugh your being to ruff on the card bord box or your touching those with your fingers >> man i really have to learn what does not matter too much i am still putting EVERY COIN in plastic or flips and make sure every paper has no folds or finger prints on it but when i look at my little collection and then ONE persons collection you just acquired > I really have NOTHING at all >> i guess i see maybe why i try to keep things perfect > i think i have a lot and spend what i think is a lot of money but > wow i wish someday i can have a 10th or a 100th of all that great coins i hope i did not sound like i was complaining at all it is more showing how much i do not know and things i guess i do NOT have to really worry about THANKS AGAIN BROTHER also any DRUMMER quarter you want to sell let me know i am trying to have the biggest collect of them yeah i am a drummer 🥁 lol i have a few really nice ones and a lot i still have to scope to look for those gems also a an artist and myself have been working years on making a HUGE reverse of the bicentennial quarter using a lot of different toned and colored quarter this is why i started gathering them in bulk and now i have another mission on top of that Most people are not worried about making any money on the normal pocket change bicentennial quarters due to how many so easy for me to get for 25 cents each i have paid shipping and a little for a persons time but a lot from friends saving for me So ANY drummer 🥁 boys slabbed rare not race dirty cleaned any of them SEND MY WAY PLEASE if possible i have cash or trade anyway PEACE GREAT CONTENT BROTHER
Fun to dig through so much, but I cannot imagine how you find the time: videos, running the shop, the help board, going to shows, business aspects, wow.
I think he has one of the best Coin salesman that I have come across. I think he could be very trustworthy. I wish he lived closer to Cincinnati. I have so many old coins and don’t know what to do with them
"It Came on a Pallet" sounds like a 1950s science fiction movie. Condolences to the family -- but their relative did a great job of collecting and passing wealth along to them, and the family was right in trusting you to be fair with grading and pricing. I love the mixture of shoe boxes, suitcases, Whitman albums, paper mint envelopes, plastic parts boxes, chipboard boxes, plastic binders, plastic tubes, and zip-loc bags, filled with everything from 18th century large cents to Morgan dollars to clad mint sets to Indian Head cents to tubes of dated Lincoln wheat cents to transportation tokens to Franklin Mint commemoratives to junk silver in a mustard jar. "Someone will want some of this."
Condolences to the family. Thank you Daniel for sharing this. This is a very nice collection. Allot of time, effort and LOVE has been put into this collection. It is something they obviously liked doing and it's great. There are allot of coins to go through and hope you find some varieties !!
That was cool to look at thanks Daniel. I'm like you I could go through that stuff all day! Let me know when those peace dollars are for 25 dollars a piece? Just joking love the vids.

I am absolutely thrilled with this collection!
You gave this dealer a fair amount of work to do. 😅
I cant express to you how much joy this collection brings me. Absolute dream.

It is!
Inspiring.....
Thats a huge collection! You will be busy going through that.
Wow!
Huge!
The ABT Brilliant Unc sets are quite a nice product and the quality of the uncs is higher than what you'd get from mint sets.
Good video
You don't take the key pad off mine to change the battery.
Cool 😎

Morgans🎉
Lot of work there to process that stuff.
Wow, that is a large collection
thanks for doing this How amazing
and i know you are one of the most knowledgeable coin person around and you understand what does not matter when talking about what the value of things are
>> it is a little cringe 😬 when someone like me that thinks NO NO you just wrinkled that paper or ugh your being to ruff on the card bord box or your touching those with your fingers >> man i really have to learn what does not matter too much
i am still putting EVERY COIN in plastic or flips
and make sure every paper has no folds or finger prints on it
but when i look at my little collection and then ONE persons collection you just acquired > I really have NOTHING at all >> i guess i see maybe why i try to keep things perfect > i think i have a lot and spend what i think is a lot of money but > wow i wish someday i can have a 10th or a 100th of all that great coins
i hope i did not sound like i was complaining at all
it is more showing how much i do not know and things i guess i do NOT have to really worry about
THANKS AGAIN BROTHER
also any DRUMMER quarter you want to sell let me know
i am trying to have the biggest collect of them
yeah i am a drummer 🥁 lol
i have a few really nice ones and a lot i still have to scope to look for those gems
also a an artist and myself have been working years on making a HUGE reverse of the bicentennial quarter using a lot of different toned and colored quarter
this is why i started gathering them in bulk
and now i have another mission on top of that
Most people are not worried about making any money on the normal pocket change bicentennial quarters due to how many
so easy for me to get for 25 cents each
i have paid shipping and a little for a persons time
but a lot from friends saving for me
So ANY drummer 🥁 boys slabbed rare not race dirty cleaned any of them SEND MY WAY PLEASE if possible
i have cash or trade anyway
PEACE
GREAT CONTENT BROTHER
Very nice! Looks like this gentleman really enjoyed his coins!
Fun to dig through so much, but I cannot imagine how you find the time: videos, running the shop, the help board, going to shows, business aspects, wow.
People with high energy actually get joy out of their work!

Great collection, no gold coins?
Nope

Thx Daniel

Much #Respect to you Daniel. A real stand up guy.
Wow sweet collection
Hello! Just curious, For the plastic coin holders was the labels on the top of the holder taped or glued? Thanks!
Lots of nice stuff

the 1832 Reale from the Guanajuato mint has 3 dots after date. The die was incorrectly made by Boulton. It should have been only one dot
Great video. The collection of a dedicated coin enthusiast that took years to build.
