Thanks a lot for purchasing my collection Silverpicker! Your quick turn around on this and super fast payment helps a lot with my move. I wish I could keep these, but its impossible for me to carry them. You are a life saver👍🙂
Except for the legal tender coins, most of this material is uncollectible "collectible" stuff. These are the types of items that unsophisticated people, especially the elderly, are warned about to avoid investing in as valuable future things for grandchildren. Pretty to look at, delightful to hold, but when they are purchased and they are marked sold, the buyer would be better off buying "junk silver" coins which would be more interesting to youngsters since the silver coins for general circulation haven't been minted for about 60 years (since 1965) and to young kids, real relics.
Silver is silver. Sometimes the premium is high. Some people like collecting coins not for investing, but, for collecting amazing coins from the history of the USA and the world!
This is a perfect example of what NOT to invest your money into - You should buy American PCGS - NGC Graded early American coins in the highest grade you can afford to buy and keep for a good return when you retire - Every coin dealer will tell you NOT to buy these commemorative coins with there fancy boxes
If your looking to make money on your collection down the road you are mostly right. However if you just like them and want to collect them for your own enjoyment who cares.
Yeah graded numismatic coins are a good choice. Commemorative coins are fun to collect because of the artwork and nice packaging. A balance of differnt types is what I like.
some are good for bullion value and keep their premiums. Higher end coins like 2009 ultra high relief, $100 gold American liberties, platinum eagles etc will likely do well. commemorative silver pieces are a dime a dozen and usually not a good buy
That’s what my wife and I are doing. Going really hard into buying but we’re are finding what we like. I like oddities in sliver like silver bullets silver cards and coins but she like colored silver and paper plus gems and rocks. My favorites are walking standing and seated coins and I like rounds.
You might want to look into Fancy Serial Number bills and their value......I've sold several for good profit, my best being a $1 note for $17, and it wasn't earth shatteringly fancy. Sold several $5's for $15 and $1's for $10. You would be surprised.
I sense some sarcasm in that lol Be great if all of us could have ten thousand bucks worth of stuff sent to us as well . Happy for you but a little jealous..😅
But if you pay attention he was sent them to see what he wants to buy!! Kinda like Littleton dose they sent you stuff and then change you for what is not sent back
FWI ...The Royal Canadian Mint sells so many of those over priced coins that Most Canadian dealers refuse to buy them as their stores have become over run with them to the point of having no more storage space for such coins that are very slow to sell . My LCS is a big store and very reputable , but if he were even interested in buying them and usualy not, he will not offer much more than the silver value. Personally I quit buying them years ago as they never hold their purchase value and rarely increase even if you could find a buyer, in favor of building the historical coin sets that do .
When you have a couple tubes of bullion silver and need some cash - no problem. If you have a collection of heavily overpriced "collectibles" like these and you need some cash - GOOD LUCK!
Beware of Royal Canadian mint coins! Grossly overpriced by the mint. Often they are sold off at half price by the post office. Beautifully made by retail prices are almost never realized in resale market.
I need to use the cash for my move. But, part of it will definitely be put into my type sets. I completed US, Canada, and Mexico type sets. Currently building Australia, Panama, and Israel type sets. All my type sets are Dansco albums. Some of these albums are hard to find.
the basketball kid's set is not silver but copper-nickel. the mint did kid's collector sets for education purposes. some have nice value as their survivability is low. if you see any buy them. they are popular since they don't make them anymore.
I love them I've got two of them :) I sold them already but if you're into knives, I'm selling my whole collection. Message on insta @thesilverpicker if you're interested.
@@Silverpicker oh ok, either way I'm not too mad, just because this looks like an actually great app. I remember when I first heard about it I thought it was going to be kind of lame. But I think I'm really going to like it! Even applied to sell! Thank you for responding, SP!
The best offer you could possibly make on this stuff will not cover even a third of what he paid for this. Your best advice to new collectors is to never buy anything in a box, avoid modern government issues, especially non silver crap, and to avoid modern graded common coins.
I am guilty of having a massive stash of CAD coins but you won't see anything sports related in my collection its all wildlife in the Americas and before that I liked modern silver proofs and god do I have a ton of proofs.
Looks like someone spent way too much time on the tv coin channel buying those extremely overpriced coins that are only worth melt value, or until another sucker come alone... id resale all that too.
😮 All those boxes, cardboard stuffing's and packages to keep up with!!!! Who has room to storage all of that for a collection!!!! That's such a waste & just ridiculous. Just the coin is all that is needed.😢 If environmentalist want a project then cutting down on commemorative storage boxes would be a primary goal to save trees!!!!!
u can't keep all these... u need to sell it and i can tell you it's not easy to sell them. That's why we should invest our money wisely...These are stuff that i avoided totally.
You showed your address at the beginning on one of the boxes. Not a smart move as a thief now has your address to target you and knows what you have. Better edit the video a bit.
I bet you none of it went into his personal collection,.... All that stuff looks excessivly bulky with about zero investment value... Flipping it quickly on whats app to 'collectors' with too much money and not alot of knowledge about silver investing, who bought these items just because they think they are 'neat'
laaaame....this is one really nice collection but sp's constant comments regarding what a mess and hassle it is dealing with over embellished packaging and downplaying the value on some of the collection shows his plans on cutting his end of the payout likely to flip at an inflated cost to maximize his profits...totally unsubscribed. 👎👎ill stick with Rob finds Treasure....

I have to admit a lot of these are scam coins like the comments said we warn our old people about.
I agree with you . Hope he got paid at least silver spot.
Spot on this stuff sells like crazy on what not though. With big premiums
Yep!! "Collectible" bullion is tough turf for the investment minded person like myself.

It all depends on what you pay, though. If you get them on the secondary market there’s no issue with collecting these

Until your silver Canadian coin develops milk spots……
Those Birthstone coins are amazing ..I want a few of those ..!❤
I would be curious how much over spot silver if anything you paid for this collection.
