When you opened the Fill Vacancy : Where it shows 0 beds - that's not a glitch. You have to add beds - if its a 3 bedroom with 4 beds then it will show as 4 beds. Then you know that a family can live in a place with 4 beds. When you added the bed - it showed 1 bed. Just to clarify :) I think if you furnish it, you will have a higher rating.
Thank you so much for this! I was so confused about the whole lease length and apartment situation because they failed at fully explaining that in the livestream. I was so scared my sim would only be in her apartment for 7 days lol after I worked so hard

Thank you SO MUCH for this! I just got this and was having so many issues, it appears you need to make the building first as a residential unit and then once done building make it a residential rental and update the units. I was so lost but this helped so much.

Thank you for making this video. I'm going to love this expansion. Making money is relatively easy in this game with nectar making and copypasto spell, but now we have something to poor that money in: mansions and palaces to rent out to recidents.

I was on edge wether I should get this or not, since I felt it was a lot of money for the content. But the ability to own multiple lots/properties is a game changer for me! I always wanted something like that in my game, so I guess I will have to get it now..

This looks so fun and easy! I can't wait to separate out some lots so multiple households can live there. I've got several row houses and trailer parks that will be so much better with multiple households.
This feature will be perfect for your houses and trailers! It's a big feature but so easy to use, I love it
Wonderful introductory video for the new pack, I'm very happy to see you have early access. ♥
My issue with the loading screen between units is that yes, it was seemlessly quick in your gameplay in this video but this is a version of the game with only one expansion installed. With 99% of players having at least one other pack, and most players owning multiple expansions, stuff and game packs, they're going to experience exponentially slower loading screens, and that's before you take into account older PCs and laptop/console gamers, which will probably feel like the game is unplayable. This is my issue and leads to fire in the community... For a pack which has been so hyped since annouced, it worries me that we're about to enter another revolt.

Wow, I first played the Sims in 2003 on my Nintendo GameCube now 20 years later I decided to pick it up again purchased the Sims 4 for rent I did mess around with it for a little while, still learning the new features
There’s a whole lot more than just simply building new buildings. Now you can customize the outside to have brick walls or let the inside be brick walls.
Just today I tried to make a two-story house, but it would not let me line up the stairs 😓 so I am still new to this version at least

Oh also idk if you've figured it out yet or not, but I believe that it says you dont have bedrooms because there aren't any beds in the unit, at least thats what I think it means

4:24 Hello! I believe the sims team stated that the Maintence Troubles are already included with the Residential Rental lots, and that's why it's not selectable in the Lot Challenes section! For regular Residental lots, it's an option feature, but for Residential Rentals, it's always included in the system.
I heard that the new lot type is what causes that lag. Another simmer suggested that while building, use the residential lot type and only switch it at the end when you're assigning the rentals.
I think it depends cause for me I'm not experiencing the build lag on the rental lots but I am experiencing other bugs that are on and off

Once a week! But the build we were playing on had a glitch and I never got paid !

nope! you only need one, if you wish to add more.. I think that might make things more challenging haha ;) also, if you don't add any, your build is fine without them as well.
i wish it was greyed out like in city living! together, it just looks like an unfinished area of the apartment.

Hey! I added it as a caption on the video! You can have up to 8 sims in 1 unit and you can have up to 6 units on one lot! Isn't that awesome? There's also a cheat that can be used to increase this but I have to find it!
Will that option "hire repair service" pop up when something is broken? aka the water heater/ breaker box. asking for my not-so handy sims lol.
Yes! You can also hire a contractor to fix it as well :)

I’m honestly relieved that you can live in the residential rentals, I really thought the sims team was gonna make it so only npcs can live there 😂
nope! you can live in them while you own them, or just simply be a tenant! 💙
The loading screens are a big deal for me because it makes me have to decide where I want to be. I love setting autonomy full and just watching.
I was soooo psyched for this pack but considering that as a player I cannot watch my tenants, I'm just going to stick to the roommate system :/

Excuse me, I want to ask, why in The Sims I can't do residential rental at the place where I bought the residential land that I converted to residential rental? So the business owner cannot choose my house as a residential rental, indeed I am the owner but I can't set up the residential rental.
Two households on same lot. Do both have to be rentals or can one be rental and one not.
So, can you choose who you rent it to? like, can I rent it to a sim I made myself or do I always have to choose from a preset list? Thanks for the overview oshin!
Preset list! I made a sim and placed them in other households - he came on the list but the second time I searched for vacancies he wasn’t there. If you want, after your sim owns the property, just go to manage households and move your desired sim into the empty unit ☺️✨
If you make a sim in create a sim you can move in from manage worlds also though, correct? If it’s already been built and owned by a different sim, or is that not the case?
Idk if it’s just me but when my sim buys a residential property it does not show me the fill vacancy button. I set the lease agreement and fixed up the property.
How can I manage when I bought 2 residential rental lots? My game is only showing the first lot I bought.
im so confused... when i click on the room, it says either shared or creat new unit but whe ni try to make a new unit, it says "existing unit has no rooms assigned - must assign a room before creating new unit" but i have no idea how to make a new unit!

Sorry if this ends up being a dumb question, but when it comes to the landlord living on the same lot as the rentals does their home count as one of the six units? I'm just a bit confused on how that works exactly.
No such thing as a dumb question! Yes, their unit counts as one of the 6 😌 thank you for asking! Also There is a cheat to increase the number of units in a lot but I never used it during my early access and need to find it again!
@@oshinsims Thank you! I tried googling it but couldn't find a definite answer yet. It's kind of a shame the landlord's home counts. Six is still a lot though, so I have no complaints.
tbh I don't mind loading screens that much. However, I hate that empty-lookin space. Like block it out, turn it black! It just makes everywhere more spacious than it is Other than that it aight. Thx for the vid btw. I can't handle boring streams and the Sims stream is always boring. (no offense to them I know they try I just can't process it properly when they stream)

Unfortunatley yes! They won't furnish their own apartments which I don't like. You unit rating could be effected if you have cheap furniture and decor - but I guess that makes it realistic lol
