Hey Deli! Would be nice if you did a "Renter friendly" renovation series! Floor plan needs to stay the same, and you can only change what a renter would be allowed to replace (wall paint, furniture, etc.)

It looks much better than the original! I like the lay out you chose. Btw, it's Ley Line not Key Line. Cambridge dictionary defines it as "an imaginary line between some important places such as hills, believed to be where there were very old paths. Ley lines are sometimes thought to have special powers."

Delis apartment builds are my favourite. This apartment, midway through the video I was saying to myself “trust the process trust the process” as I definitely didn’t see it coming together.. but the end result is chef kiss as always!

I renovated this once. I moved the Bedroom to the Kitchen Area and split the bathroom into 2 (en-suite and guest bathroom), center the dining - living room on the 2 big windows and close the single window to be small kitchen (4x3) and have small bedroom and en-suite on the other bedroom.
I started watching your videos, because any time you choose a color or a item, I think they'll not look good together. And then when you finish it, it's the most stunning and/or cozy place. I'm always amazed. And now I watch because it's really funny and relaxing. I learn a lot with you too. So thank you!

Old apartment ceilings often have fire retardant square tiles on them. I've been wondering how the square slate tiles in the new white swatch would look on the ceiling. I haven't updated my game yet, due to the blue screen of death, but hoping to maybe this week. I can't wait to paint ceilings! I've missed it SO MUCH! How have we not had it, when I could do it back in TS2 days?!? Anyway, this apartment turned out beautifully. I love how there are so many different floor plans people can come up with for the same space. Thanks for sharing!

An apartment I always wanted to see was a mermaid apartment but that's build on the penthouse lot in the fashion district! I don't know why but I always loved that built in pool, that you can see through the kitchen and thought it could be so much fun to turn it into a mermaid oasis penthouse!
I renovated this apartment once for my family of a young couple and their two toddlers. I managed to make three bedrooms and a spacious bathroom. on the downside, they didn't have much of a dining room, but the apartment was functional. Love your take!
I make 'faux' closets all the time by closing off a 1-2 like you would for a closet, then putting an archway in and using a wardrobe or a dresser with shelves inside.
I loooove this apartment honestly! This same lot is the one I use for my simself!! My floor plan is quite different, I kept the bathroom where it was and made the bedroom at the front where all the windows are. I used the middle as dinning and living area and the back I kept a small kitchen and a guest bathroom. That was my way to utilize best the window placement. Still loving how you made this work as well, very nice job ❤

I could have sworn there used to be a cheat to get rid of/ change things in the apartments at one point. Because I have a memory of deleting the body outline in that one apartment and then being sad because I changed my mind later on and didn't know how to put it back. lol
One of my favourite sims girlies lives in this apartment with her dog. I ended up turning it into a chic pinterest inspired apartment. I moved the kitchen counters to the weird shaped wall and even though it doesn't fit great,it looks much cuter but had to use cheats to attach counters together. I kept the smaller room initially as a home office with a murphy bed but no one really stayed there lol so I made it into a full office. The bathroom is weirder than I remembered hehe but added a washer drier in there and it filled up the space nicely.
Edit: Kept watching the video and honestly the floor plan is so much nicer than mine 😅 makes me want to change mine now

I just moved my sims to this apartment and I felt like I barely had any space to make a cute apartment and yet you did it so flawlessly!!! Love love love these apartment builds. I hope you also consider rebuilding/renovating the non-residential lots in San Myshuno! Your ideas inspire me so much!

That's the first apartment in City Living I renovated!
The size is perfect for my single sim plus her lil puppy. I changed the child's room into an open work room. The dining room and kitchen were beautiful too, not to mention the bathroom are big enough to put in bathtub. The challenge for me was honestly the the living room, I have to be generous about spaces for television, coffee table, and the big sofa!

I love these renovations! Would love to see you take a painting that's in the game and have the colors in that painting inspire the colors in the room you put it in (ex...coral, black, and gold painting and do the living room colors in that palette).
The 2 apartments in this building are my favorite ones to use when starting out a generation. I normally make the front of the building the bedroom though for the better lighting and the back the kitchen.

I got a surprise one day when I was playing dream home decorator. The landgraabs had 2 daughters and moved into an apartment. Sadly Nancy died outside the apartment door, so I couldn't move her grave (I don't use cheats and play on console).
Im renovating the entirity of san Mishuyo too and if you think thats a hard apartment to renovate, the neighbours is almost impossible. Since in my world they already had a kid and a baby, it was SO HARD to find space for everyone and not look weird

If u ever run out i guess you can build an appartment where u can get room mates to live in the other appartments. Or renovate the worst sim builds like the one with no toilets. Or renovate a whole sims world then move on to the next one.

I renovated this apartment a while ago and had better luck totally switching areas places. I loved having the bay window in the master and I added a fireplace as well. It was a nice and cozy bedroom. The rest of the apartment was an open floor plan and even had room for an island. Although it was for a windowed old lady so it only had one bedroom. But it looked so much better!

i used white carpet for ceiling because here the walls are white stone/plaster texture, so the white carpet ends up looking like white plaster :3 (and i'm talking about rental apartments where u can't do much changes to walls n ceilings)
Red brick in the kitchen would have REALLY tied it all together very nicely

Gosh this was such a fun video, I definitely understand why the algorithm propped it up. Absolutely deserved AND THE RENO LOOKS GORGEOUS!!!
I'm pretty sure, the person building this originally had some sort of german "Altbau-WG" experience. (I didn´t find a similar english word for this german term, it´s mostly used for old buildings that have been build before World War II. WG is just the abbrevation for shared appartment.) These kind of apartments tend to have small, long bathrooms as a lot of them have been build in afterwards - a lot of these buildings still have (now unused) restrooms on every floor, that had to be shared by two or three families. Even though an apartment of this kind would not have an open kitchen, but a pretty long, dark corridor that leads to every room and is some sort of wasted space, the color "scheme" and odd placing of things (especially the fridge!) totally reminds me of students shared apartments. Maybe the og builder was studying abroad for some time and let his creativity be guided by the memories of this time. Sorry for this unnecessary, novel-like comment. 😅
I don’t think I have EVER used that purple/pink swatch of those kitchen counters in the original apartment.
Completely agree it's the worst design but it is my favorite apartment lot for early gameplay. It's cheap without all the lot challenges and it's shape and size makes it easier to quickly renovate.

my headcannon is that the Akiyama family last lived in this apartment before they moved to Mt. Komorebi. Jenna and Kado were living together first, tried for one baby and got twins. They went on vacation to Kado's home neighborhood where Jenna, Taku, and Miki convinced Kado to move back. All that's left of them in San Myshuno is the ugly wallpaint and the twin's cheap childhood beds. Deligracy did a great job with this reno.
Oof, I have a family living in that apartment with five kids, two sets of twins. It’s a good thing they are well-to-do and love the outdoors

The first time i played this, i wanted to build a house sorounded by a mote. I spent ages designing the house, then i dug the mote, but could not build a draw bridge or bridge of any kind, so i was essentially stuck on an island and could not get off.
