The itachi statement literally can be taken as both which it should he care so much for the village, but he’s also intelligent enough to understand what circumstances come, what causes and effects come from the actions that are being taken by the shinobi of that time. And even further down the line.

Neji, whose main theme is "succumbing to fate"(or "overcoming fate" if you want to be charitable, but i'm not dying on THAT hill), talks about destiny and how everyone has a predetermined fate. Naruto disagrees with this and explains that destiny shouldn't be used as a crutch to be a jerk, like Neji is when attempting to murder Hinata or talking down to Naruto himself.
So was Neji right? Everyone seems to think so, but why? Is it because Naruto is the child of prophecy? Well, it was stated that the child of prophecy would either bring peace to the world OR destroy it. I find this interesting because it takes the age-old formula of a character fulfilling one goal, one destiny, and flips it on its head by placing a 50% chance in Naruto actually becoming the villain. The simple fact that Naruto has both agency and a choice in the outcome already puts Neji's values on shaky ground(though Neji was right about his own destiny to die for the main branch unless you want to be charitable, but again, im not dying on that hill).
BUT! You still disagree with me. Why? Because Naruto is the reincarnation of Ashura? Well, that's funny because, as Ashura's reincarnation, Naruto is destined to meet and battle with Indra's reincarnation, Sasuke. Now Ashura did hope that a future incarnation of himself could resolve things peacefully, but his intention doesn't matter as his actions contributed to a cycle that the Sage of Six Paths feared would continue when Sasuke wanted to have his final battle with Naruto.
DESTINY ITSELF, the concept Neji spoke about, ordained that Naruto(as Ashura's reincarnation) would do battle with Sasuke(Indra's reincarnation), and continue the cycle of hatred. This path where the two could potentially kill each other might have very well been the catalyst that pushed Naruto to fulfill the evil side of his prophecy in destroying the world(among other things), made even more evident with the treatment he received growing up as a Jinchuriki(that made him hate the world back for a time), and the antagonist that reflected his character(challenging his views, and in some cases, trying to make Naruto fall as low as they did).

I think chidori and rakiri are the same in the way rasengan and big ball rasengan are. Kakashi has increased the shape transformation and nature transformation to S tier levels. I do like the idea of encountering lightning gave Kakashi better knowledge of lightning release on some black flash ish.

    • @giannixx
      @giannixx ปีที่แล้ว +11

But by that logic Sasuke's Chidori in Shippuden should be called "Raikiri", as he shows much more mastery in shape transformation than Kakashi with Chidori Nagashi, Chidori Senbon, Chidori Eisou and so on.
I also don't know where this information comes from that Kakashi increased the degree of shape transformation and that is the basis for Raikiri being different from Chidori. It might come from a databook? But going by manga canon there's nothing to indicate Raikiri isn't just a nickname for Chidori when Kakashi uses it.
The old databooks might have classified the Raikiri as S-Rank and Chidori as A-Rank because Kakashi was stronger than Sasuke at that time.
Sasuke correcting Deidara probably just means he is asserting himself as a Chidori user as "Raikiri" is a trademark for Kakashi. It's similar to the different times in Part 1 when enemies had outdated information and referred to Shikamaru's Shadow Posession with a different name. It also happens with Shikaku and the Shadow Neck Binding Technique IRRC. It's not that the enemies were referring to different jutsu, they were just using their old name.

The part that people refer to as "Neji was right" is in regards to him talking about how those who become Hokage were born for that role. They are essentially destined for greatness. Naruto at the start of the series is basically a black sheep who has to compete with characters who are more talented than he is, which is why a lot of fans root for him. However as time goes on and more is revealed about Naruto, such as him not only being the son of the 4th Hokage but also that the Uzumaki are descended from the Sage of the Six Paths, just like the Uchiha, that Naruto is also the child of two separate prophecies (which according to the Toad Sage always come true) and is the inheritor/reincarnation of Asura, the more it becomes evident that Naruto WAS always destined for greatness. While Neji was wrong in other aspects, he was unwittingly correct in this one.

"Hard work trumps talent" was the central theme for the chunin exams and the goal Lee aspires to. "Overcoming Hatred(something the ninja world fosters)" is the overarching theme of the series as well as something Naruto needed to do. Almost every arc in the series had its own theme to follow, but as stated above, the main theme of the series definitely isn't about hard work trumping talent. And if you thought the MC was going to follow what is essentially Lee's theme(who LOST against Gaara in the Chunin Exams) when he has the 9 Tails(that he used against Neji that same arc), I don't know what to tell you.

Another spin on the Rinne Rebirth situation could be that it's more taxing to bring back people who have been dead for some time. I may be remembering wrong but the destruction of the leaf happened in one day. Everyone's been dead for a few hours so it's not too taxing since their souls haven't been gone for too long. Madara has been dead for over 16 years so it makes sense for it to kill Obito. It also adds to the reason Nagato wasn't able to bring back Jiraiya.

    • @AtenSol12
      @AtenSol12 ปีที่แล้ว +4

Its definitely possible but it doesnt seem to align with any other method of bringing somone back after they have actually died.
You can sacrifice life force like with what chiyo did or rinne rebirth
You can edo tensei them which other ignores everything except if you have dna and that persons soul is not stuck somewhere it cant be removed from.
You can definitely stall death based on length of time the person is in a near death state.
In this way it makes more sense for it to be a uzumaki lifeforce statement as opposed to a time statement. Uzumaki can survive someone extracting bijuu. This is implied to like instantly kill almost every other jinchuriki. Naruto lived in a near death state. Kushina gave birth that same day and also held the full 9 ninetails. And i dont think we have concrete evidence but one can assume that Mito survived kurama being removed from her for a period of time as well.

Maybe a user needs both eyes to unlock their true potential. That was emphasized a lot throughout the series too.
Nagato had both Rinnegan, so the drawback that could cause death, which was what happened, was simply the lack of chakra.
Obito on the other hand could only use one eye and he stated that having both was too much for him. So using Rinne Rebirth with just one eye would lead to death, because the true potential isn't there, while if he had both, he would not die.
      This is my take.

I think the misconception people dont get is that Neji vs Naruto was not about Hard work vs Talent. I think it was actually over the fact that Neji believes everyone's state or future is pre-defined and unchangable only because of the class system in his clan that put him, who is far more talented than Hinata below her only because she was born from the older brother. His Uncle. I feel like people think the "hard work vs talent" thing is the theme because of Goku & Vegeta. Naruto was never incapable of ninjutsu. He just didnt take it seriously. Yet from the first day we see him already master transformation and shadow clone without much effort. Naruto tends to master things when he's serious. Like against Mizuki.
Naruto was just looked down upon because of his immaturity and the 9 nails, and from that reputation Neji argued that, that is who Naruto is and always would be. Naruto only disproved he was not a loser because of that reputation to Neji who was well respected as a genius on the levels of Sasuke. Naruto wasnt. To me this makes more sense because Naruto ends up beating his reputation and becomes Hokage and helps save the world.

Chidori is the basic jutsu, everyone knows how it works obviously. You hold lightning in your hand, rush the opponent and strike them.
Raikiri has a bit more finesse, and (at least as the series progressed and made them distinct) a raikiri is performed with your finger tips not your palm (similar to the Raikage strikes), this requires better chakra control (as the blade has to envelope your hand, rather than being a "ball" you grasp) and much like the Raikage techniques, striking with the tips of your fingers gives your higher penetration and killing potential, since the impact point is far smaller. I have 3 misconceptions which I can go over and explain if anyone asks why
    1. Thinking Hagoromo and Madara were on the same level based off Hagoromo telling Naruto & Sasuke that Madara has his power and is trying to obtain his mother’s
    2. People thinking EMS Sasuke doesn’t get stronger during the war and not being relative to KCM2 + Sage Naruto by the end of their fight against Juubito
    3. People thinking you can reverse summon out of the kamui dimension or a dimension in general

    • @kakuzugoated873
      @kakuzugoated873 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      1. He literally said he is approaching his power, he already has all hagaromos abilities, so it's referring to strength.
      2. Ems Sasuke isn't relative, EMS Sasuke with Curse mark from Jugo is.
      3. You can, reverse summon is just the opposite of summoning, which occurs from drawing a creature from a different dimension.

    • @emssasukeisunderrated7946
      @emssasukeisunderrated7946 ปีที่แล้ว +3

@@kakuzugoated873 1. No he's referring to abilities. In that exact moment, Hagoromo was referencing the fact that Madara was close to gaining all his abilities (at the time Madara had 1 rinnegan and the juubi inside of him). Then said he that he was close to obtaining his mother's, that being the 9-tomoe rinnegan or rinnesharingan. But why is it that he's referring to abilities?
We know this is the case by two important things: first is the scaling and two is the actual text and context. The scaling is quite simple. For Kaguya to EVEN APPEAR, Madara who already had a juubi + Hashi's dna & sage power + his own chakra had to get more than a JUUBI level of chakra forced into him. Sasuke literally says this chakra that's being sucked into Madara (pause) was more than that of a juubi. This is for her to even APPEAR. She then absorbs more chakra from those in the infinite tsukuyomi and her other dimensions (Momo can do the same so this is just a trait of the Otsutsuki to take in chakra from the dimensions they control plus Kaguya can merge with nature) and gets EXPONENTIALLY faster and stronger yet Naruto & Sasuke can still somewhat combat with her and damage her (along with DMS Kakashi and Sakura for one hit). Sasuke & Naruto already knew that Madara would not be the "final boss" but would be Kaguya which is the main reason Hagoromo gave them power. Also, the main reason as to why Hagoromo couldn't just deal with his mother himself was mainly because well, he's a ghost, but also having died he is in control of the samsara plane (connecting to his rinnegan). Essentially in the world of the Naruto, the plane where chakra connects others and the world. Obito understood this and that was why he was able to give Kakashi power except compared to Hagoromo who controls that plane, could only be temporary.
Also, not only is it literally stated that what Hagoromo gave them are gifts, but it's his powers/abilities. Hagoromo gave Naruto & Sasuke 3 things. The first is HIS chakra. His chakra is six paths chakra (likewise Hamura's). He also gave them the six paths yin & yang power seals. Lastly, he gave them their six paths reincarnate birthrights and upgraded versions of each directly stated either by the characters themselves or the databook as being gifts and Hagoromo's abilities. This for Naruto being six paths sage power and the upgraded version being six paths sage mode. For Sasuke being the rinnegan and the upgraded version being the 6-tomoe rinnegan.
Next is simply the text. The word used in this sentence 力 ”chikara" can be defined as power, ability, force. Interesting cause the word 能力 "nouryoku" can be defined as ability, capacity and the word 強い "tsuyoi" pretty much has one meaning and that is strong/strength. Given the text of the sentence can be translated as (I've been studying Japanese for a couple years now and while I'm not fluent, I certainly am a lot closer than a majority. That entire panel can be translated as (this is Hagoromo talking):
"Now (or Currently) Madara is like my mother Kaguya."
"Now that he's finished as Indra's reincarnate, he has the power of the ten tails like me." (or He's not Indra's reincarnate having the power of the ten tails like me)
"Even now he's trying to get closer to the power of my mother Kaguya"
Now AGAIN context matters. He is not saying that his strength is close to Kaguya. He then on the next couple panels talks directly about the infinite tsukuyomi and what it does. All Hagoromo is saying is that, Madara's power/abilities are getting to a point where Kaguya's potential revival may happen. The before panels talk about this as well that he has no longer become Indra's reincarnate and the day he stopped being Indra's reincarnate technically is when he awakened the rinnegan by merging Asura & Indra's chakra which is a derivative of Hagoromo's chakra
Conclude, at best you can argue that Madara was approaching ghost Hagoromo power but even then considering what he could give to Naruto & Sasuke without even being a juubi jinchuriki + base Otsutsuki powers (which was enough to seal Kaguya & the juubi) + gifted abilities that he would then pass to Naruto & Sasuke in 6-tomoe rinnegan & six paths sage mode, it's simply how one would interpret it given context

@@kakuzugoated873 2. This is pretty blatant that he is. Jugo's curse mark simply allows Sasuke's susano'o to bypass the ninjutsu nullification. It has nothing to do with Sasuke's eyes. I say this because EMS Sasuke and Bijuu Sage Naruto EQUALLY track, attack and react to Juubito at the same speed & strength while also (along with Jugo which is an impressive feat for him) TANKING Juubito's attack.
There's a common misconception that Sasuke gets pissed at seeing Mastered KCM2 Naruto. It was actually at Bijuu Sage Naruto he gets pissed. But it's for the reason of how his ideals are at the time. He wants to be alone and fix the world his way and through power. He sees Naruto as one who conflicts this and most of all, he knows that Naruto won't give up and seeing how strong Naruto is infuriates him cause he knows Naruto he'll have to cut down first in order to reach his goals seeing Naruto's ideals and strength. It's funny people forget just a couple moments later while Juubito is talking down to Naruto and the entire alliance loses faith even to what Hashi is saying, Sasuke charges ahead of Naruto AGAIN at that point in the war arc.
Simply put, at every moment in the war, Sasuke was either always ahead of matching Naruto.
The accumulation of this pre-six paths is the fact Sasuke can do the majestic attire susano'o, which is literally perfect susano'o armor wrapped around Kurama or Kurama Mode. This means, he reached ANOTHER stage of power & strength beyond the sage susano'o, making perfect susano'o armor. This all the while that Naruto's Sage Kurama Avatar was being boosted by Minato's yin Kurama to the point it took Minato completely out of KCM for a bit until the tug-o-war where everyone was giving Naruto & Sasuke strength

@@kakuzugoated873 This is literally the translation of the summoning jutsu from the first databook:
"This is a kind of Space-Time Ninjutsu, allowing the user to summon any living being with whom they signed a contract in blood, at any time and place they desire. The summoned creature will obey the user with its life, helping in every situation, whether it be fighting or fleeing. The user smears their own blood on the hand they signed the contract with and kneads chakra by doing [hand] seals. Then by turning the palm of that hand to the place they want to summon, they call forth a subordinate they can rely on."
First thing is the creatures that are summoned aren't in another dimension. They are in separate lands somewhere on the Naruto world. You can literally travel to the 3 sage regions or to where the Monkey King Enma lives among others. The creatures also all use chakra and like every creature on the Naruto earth all has chakra points.
Simply we know you can't reverse summon due to the fact that kamui it's stated no one can escape once trapped and Sasuke wasn't able to escape before the Danzo fight when he wanted to (he was demanding Obito to leave) and at that point he already had done the reverse summon
Also, Team 7 couldn't reverse summon out of Kaguya's genesis dimension and needed ghost Hagoromo + the help of the former Gokage to summon them & the 9 bijuu & Madara.
It is a space-time ninjutsu though and higher levels of space-time ninjutsu theoretically can bypass dimensions. This being the Flying Thunder God (which I would argue could easily escape the kamui dimension or other dimensions) or Code's claw marks or karma even while space-time dojutsu can as well like the rinnegan's space-time technique that the Otsutsuki and Sasuke have or kamui or Amenominaka and Kaguya's Yomotsu Hirasaka. Space-time ninjutsu we know can bypass barriers and that space-time ninjutsu with their own dimensions can be synchronized and gain access to others. Sasuke has done this accessing all of Kaguya's dimensions, a few of Momoshiki's and Isshiki's dimensions too. Obito did this with Kaguya's genesis dimension on his own and then with her other dimensions with the help of Byakugou Seal Sakura. Otsutsuki/karma seal users seem to do this pretty casually, equal or even better than Sasuke at his peak

Let's talk about Lee, though my first post should be enough to know where he stands in relation to both Naruto and the story, so I'll leave it with this: While it is true that Naruto never had to train as hard as Lee PHYSICALLY, that was never the point(once again, he has the 9 Tails to make things easier on that front). While Lee has to struggle with the physical, Naruto has to struggle with the mental aspects of his character, to not fall into the cycle that is the main theme of the show, hatred(of course there will be physical aspects, its shounen. But a story following the mental aspects of a character can be just as inspiring).
Honestly, with how Lee(Hardwork) lost his fight against Gaara(Talent), it seems to me that the theme of the chunin exams isnt "Hard work trumps talent", but instead can be interpreted as "Hardwork(Lee) MAY be able to trump talent(Gaara), but talented hardworkers(Naruto) trumps all." A very real indication of the real world.

Another misconception people are bringing up is Sasuke having no chakra by the time Deidara releases his C0 bomb, thus thinking him being able to summon Manda and escaping the attack should not be possible. This is often brought up by people, who are trying to argue that Deidara was stronger than Sasuke and Sasuke winning only due to plot(?)
For one, Sasuke NEVER stated to have no chakra. Only Deidara did (he assumed so), and he was proven wrong a couple of times during that fight on its own. Sasuke fell down to his knees, however that still doesn't say anything explicit about his amount of chakra, but only his health. On top of that... literally everything is plot. You can't use that argument in a debate about powerscaling.
Edit: another thing to consider is the fact that it's totally possible for Sasuke to act that quickly. Remember him evading explosions by flying upwards, swapping himself with nearby objects or bringing out a giant white snake? Yeah, that speed of his was consistently shown.

      @thewiseyounglad2699 ปีที่แล้ว

Now I can, because Lee and the chunin exams were SO popular, understand why one would think that the overarching theme of the series is "Hard work trumping talent" instead of "Overcoming hatred." Unless you believe that there can be multiple overarching themes to a series instead of one, I'll compare and contrast the two with every arc, starting with:
      1. The prologue - We see Naruto's position within the village and how he's treated with loathing and isolation. I believe his interaction with Mizuki and Iruka is a perfect example of one overcoming hatred against him to see the good in Naruto, while the other falls deeper into it to the point that they take drastic action(like trying to use and kill him).
Overcoming talent wasn't even a point here, as Naruto learned the shadow clone jutsu fairly quickly(and couldnt learn the clone jutsu because his chakra control was shit due to his large amounts of chakra)
      2. The Land of Waves - Haku grew up in a situation similar to Naruto, being hated for the power he possessed. Instead of choosing the path of vengeance, Haku fought because he loved Zabuza, and paired with Zabuza's final actions, Naruto became inspired to model his ninja way after them.
Haku set the precedent of introducing characters that would reflect Naruto himself, not based on talent but instead on how far into hatred they had fallen. There is a reason why Haku, who didn't fall to hatred, was such an inspiration to Naruto.
Now, I'll talk about the theme of overcoming talent. There isn't one. Naruto uses the 9 Tails power(which many of you believe goes against the theme of the Chuunin exams) by this point to take down a genius, not his own power
      3. The Chunin Exams- The main theme of the Chunin exams is overcoming talent with hard work, but overcoming hatred is also present here. Gaara is a representation of what Naruto could have been if he fell into the cycle, and Naruto began to fear him after that because of the similarities the two share. I believe that it was this arc that Naruto also expressed the hatred HE used to have for the village in the past(something we later figure out he still has with the waterfall of truth).
On top of that, the MAIN point of this arc was to present a psuedo war between the nations using the Genin to show off their future military power. If this doesnt foster hatred(and a long list of other fucked up shit), I dont know what else does
      4. Sand Invasion arc(do people consider this a separate arc to the Chuunin exams?) - Much of the same thing with the parallels between Naruto and Gaara, but with the addition of Naruto using the 9 Tails power to summon Gamabunta to fight Shukaku. I don't believe hard work trumping talent was really reinforced here
      5. Tsunade arc - Naruto learned the Rasengan WAY faster than the Toad Sage Jiraiya(could he be a genius?). He worked hard just to fail but succeeded in the end due to thinking outside of the box.
Meanwhile, Orochimaru felt hatred towards the Leaf and wanted to heal his hands to continue his path of destruction, yet was taken down with the help of Tsunade, who overcame her hatred via loss of her loved ones due to Naruto simply being there for her in her time of need
      6. Sasuke retrieval arc - Naruto had two main fights, one with Kimimaru and one with Sasuke. For both fights, he used the 9 Tails to try and gain the upper hand(though Lee came in to represent hard work and got bodied until Gaara showed up, so there you go, I guess).
The main point of the arc was a parallel between Naruto and Sasuke, as the latter is falling into hatred for his vengeance
Now, many believe that hatred only rose to prominence as the main theme in Shippuden, spitting on everything that OG Naruto set up regarding overcoming talent with hardwork, but that is not the case.
I could go over the shippuden arcs like I did here with the OG arcs, but seeing as overcoming talent with hard work is RARELY seen there in comparison to hatred, which is much more pronounced at that point, I'm simply going to move on.

If say Tenten has 10 chakra, and she uses a shadow clone, she has 5 chakra left and her shadow clone has 5 chakra. Now we know that hitting 0 chakra kills you, so Tenten and her clone can't use any jutsu that costs 5 or more chakra.
NARUTO however, has 1000 chakra, so if he makes even 100 clones, he himself and each of his clones now has as much chakra as Tenten does in base, so he can use any jutsus she could before she made clones. THAT'S what's so important. If he makes 10 clones, he can still fire of jutsus that require incredible amounts of chakra, because the amount of chakra that goes into the jutsu does not increase exponentially with how much chakra you have.

      @TheGuzeinbuick ปีที่แล้ว +15

Plus I believe it's stated that once a clone dissipates, the chakra (as well as the knowledge) is even distributed back amongst the caster and the remaining clones.
Really weird thing that most people forget-- Shadow Clones have their own freaking souls. o_O Hiruzen's clones both had souls when he used them to capture Hashirama's and Tobirama's Edo Tenseis when he fought against Orochimaru.

    • @Necromancer4267
      @Necromancer4267 ปีที่แล้ว +17

@@TheGuzeinbuick The dissipation is true. It's never outright stated, but seeing as how "turning off" a clone gave Naruto the Senjutsu that clone was holding, it stands to reason that they send the chakra back when they die.
As for the soul, it is known that chakra itself carries memory and personality. Minato and Kushina left chakra inside Naruto and it manifested as an exact copy of themselves. We also see Obito's chakra come back and into Kakashi as a willing entity. What's more the Tailed Beasts are made of pure chakra and obviously have at least some artificial soul-like thing.

    • @AlteredNova04
      @AlteredNova04 ปีที่แล้ว

Yeah, shadows clones are all remotely connected to each other and their creator, and chakra is automatically evenly distributed among that clone network. That's why the Byakugan can't tell the original from the clones, why clones can create even more clones and why the clones can all access Kurama's chakra.
t's also why it's a kinjutsu, because your shadow clones are all connected to you and chakra is automatically drained from you to keep you both at equal levels, the clone can easily accidentally kill you via chakra exhaustion if it spends chakra too recklessly.

the difference in skill and chakra control would also effect the Jutsu by default and aid in the adjustment to the chakra difference gained form becoming the 10 tails jinchuriki.
the differences between the sharingan abilities are such:
Kakashi's eye teleports objects, whereas Obito's eye can teleport himself and the objects and people he comes into contact with.
obito didn't have the skill to adjust for the difference in chakra within the time frame and madara didn't need to adjust anything as long as he had enough chakra to rip a hole between dimensions.

"Ninja frrom the other lands trembled at the mention of ‘Wicked Eye’ Fugaku during the Great War.” "There’s talk it’s all the administration’s plan!” Yashiro shouted, and then spat out, “Village officials don’t want the Uchiha clan standing on center stage. They said nothing in the village about all the work you did during the Great War, Lord Fugaku. Because of that, it was Minato and the Sannin, and even Hatake Kakashi-who has the sharingan despite not being a member of the clan-who shone. Fugaku had some prety high level feats in the third war and the Uchiha were rightful upset that he wasn't even in conversation for hogake.

    1. Uh, in the chapter Chidori is first introduced, Guy states that it is also known as Raikiri (lightning cutter) due to the fact that Kakashi used it to cut lightning in half. So them not being the same thing is a retcon, not a misconception.
    2. That's a technicality. The context implies that Kishimoto meant for the Byakugan to be at least on par with the Sharingan, if not stronger. It was obviously retconned when the manga began putting more and more focus on the Uchiha clan.
    3. Obito seeing Rin die caused him to lose hope and become susceptible to Madara's indoctrination. So yes, he did start the war because of her, just not directly. Besides, the way the whole incident is presented really makes it look like that's exactly what happened.
    4. Kaguya may be stronger than Madara in terms of raw power, but she's nowhere near as capable a fighter as him. Kishimoto wrote Madara to be virtually untouchable. I don't think it's true that Madara had to be replaced because he was too strong, but the argument makes more sense than you give it credit for.
    5. Minato and Shiki Fujin is another retcon. There's no way Kishi had all of that stuff planned out at that stage of the manga. Remember that Minato was still supposed to be stronger than Hashirama at the time. The intention was clearly for the reanimation to be stopped halfway. If reviving Minato was impossible because of external reasons, the jutsu wouldn't have worked in the first place.
    6. The hard work debate is stupid and I'm sick of hearing it. Both sides are disingenuous in their positions and dismiss and misinterpret valid points made by the other side.
    7. No, hand signs as such never disappeared from the story completely, but over time, techniques that didn't require hand signs became more and more prevalent, which had more or less the same effect. In all honesty, though, hand signs are really impractical if you think about it. Maybe they shouldn't have been a thing in the first place.

4th one also makes no sense, you're telling me, the character that could sneak up against a EMS and rinnegan sasuke, and a naruto who basically has a juubi amp and can sense chakra, from remote islands is somehow weaker then madera, even if you give the skill arguement her hax make up for it 10 fold, Sasuke was about to just be stranded in one of her. One problem. The one responsible for these misconceptions is often none other than Kishimoto himself. People don't realize that writing a manga isn't like writing a normal story. When you work for a manga studio, you *must* write and illustrate new chapter Every. Single. Week. So that means most mangaka are forced to make stuff up as they go along. If you push your luck for ten odd years, there's bound to be lots of inconsistencies and internal contradictions in your manga. Naruto included.
"Kishimoto made a mistake" is often enough to explain such misconceptions, instead of superfans running circles around every translation trying to justify the dodgy internal logic of their beloved series. For example...
2:35 Kishimoto meant for the Byakugan to superior to the Sharingan at that time. Kishimoto couldn't see five years into the future and didn't know where his story would take him. Namely, he didn't know he sideline the whole Hyuuga thing and focus on the Uchiha clan so much.
7:00 Kishimoto did indeed say in an interview that he has "no idea how to beat Madara." Kaguya may be stronger but she can be sealed. I don't think that same sealing technique would work on Madara.
8:42 Originally Hiruzen did indeed stop the third coffin from rising by using a "Jutsu Cancel." This is why Hiruzen clasps his hands together and roars with extreme effort. "Jutsu Cancel" was never used again because it's a dumb idea anyway. Kishimoto later retconned this several years later by writing a chapter about how Orochimaru was not able to summon the Minato because Minato's soul was already in the Death God's stomach.
11:50 I assume using Hand Signs is like incantations in Bleach. If you're particularly skilled, you can perform jutsus without needing to weave the proper signs first, but presumably the signs help make it easier.
12:12 Minato used some variation of the Reaper Death Seal. Even Orochimaru was able to conclude "so the jutsu that sealed the Nine Tails... is this." when Hiruzen used it.

Slight misconception about the hand signs for Chidori and Lightning Blade, the hand signs used varies but the general hand signs used for both the most frequently is Ox -> Rabbit -> Monkey. The main difference between Chidori and Lightning Blade is demonstrated PERFECTLY to Naruto by Kakashi, where first he gathers chakra in his hand in the form of a sort of flame, it's like a decompressed and non-spinning Rasengan, then he adds lightning nature to it to make the Chidori, and then he changes the shape and discharge rate to whatever Kakashi desires it to be, this creates the finished product: the Lightning Blade. This was demonstrated in one of my favorite episodes of Shippuden, episode 55 at about 5 minutes 20 seconds in, Kakashi basically breaks down how he makes the Chidori and Lightning Blade in stages and the difference between the two is clear as day. Sasuke merely took Chidori in a different direction by creating variations of Chidori rather than stepping up to the Lightning Blade. The change in chakra form for the Lightning Blade doesn't just involve the chakra in your hand, but it creates a surge all around you, it's kind of like a hybrid of Chidori and Chidori Stream when Kakashi uses Lightning Blade.
Yugito and Yagura were probably just like Naruto with KCM1, where they tamed their tailed beasts but hadn't befriended them to become Perfect Jinchuriki, although I think based on the fact that Killer Bee spoke so highly of Yugito, that Yugito was actually the latter.
As far as Itachi not being stronger than Hashirama purely based off Hashirama's statement about him, that much you're right about, BUT, you let me know if Hashirama has any counters to Tsukuyomi or the Totsuka Blade or a way to deal with the Yata Mirror. The simple fact is he doesn't. Hashirama is a mismatch and loses to Itachi purely because of hax. Hashirama's insane durability and healing factor is completely discounted when being killed by a one-shot Genjutsu or sealed by the Totsuka Blade.

Pretty good video Six. You nailed most of these on the head, but I will absolutely die on the hill that Chidori and Lightning Blade are the same jutsu. There IS a distinction between them, but that distinction is only that Kakashi once cut a lightning bolt with his Chidori, earning it a nickname. If anything, you could also argue that the Raikiri is also a more mastered form of the Chidori, but honestly this doesn't make it a new jutsu. So was Neji right? Everyone seems to think so, but why? Is it because Naruto is the child of prophecy? Well, it was stated that the child of prophecy would either bring peace to the world OR destroy it. The way edo tensei works is that you need to sacrifice a living person to transform them essentially into whoever you're trying to summon. In order to summon the coffins orochimaru would have needed to perform the edo tensei to summon the hokage and place them into the coffins before the fight with hiruzen, meaning he shouldn't have been able to fill and summon a third coffin unless it held someone who wasn't minato. Unless it was supposed to work that orochimaru had his henchmen sleeping in the coffins or something and sacrificed them while summoning the hokage.

Let's talk about Lee. While it is true that Naruto never had to train as hard as Lee PHYSICALLY, that was never the point(once again, he has the 9 Tails to make things easier on that front). While Lee has to struggle with the physical, Naruto has to struggle with the mental aspects of his character, to not fall into the cycle that is the main theme of the show, hatred(of course there will be physical aspects, its shounen. But a story following the mental aspects of a character can be just as inspiring).
Honestly, with how Lee(Hardwork) lost his fight against Gaara(Talent), it seems to me that the theme of the chunin exams isnt "Hard work trumps talent", but instead can be interpreted as "Hardwork(Lee) MAY be able to trump talent(Gaara), but talented hardworkers(Naruto) trumps all." The Naruto who fought Sasuke at the end of the War is stronger than Adult Naruto before Baryon mode.
Baryon Mode is obviously stronger than everything, but Adult Naruto's SOSP isn't as powerful as his War Arc version.
      Simply because, it's worn down.
Adult Naruto is more experienced, a better fighter, a better strategist than War Arc, has a Fake arm that absorbs Justu.
But End War Arc Naruto's Power feats are greater than anything Adult Naruto had shown in his fights against the Otsutsuki (except Baryon Mode)
End of War Arc Naruto was flying, had all of his Truth Seeking Orbs, shown mastery of different Rasengan styles, Reviving people from death, Two Real Arms.
The same way Sasuke at the end of the war was the strongest he ever was, Absorbed 8 bijuus for his Perfected Susanoo.
That Sasuke has everything Adult Sasuke has and more. The only difference is experience with Rinnegan, which Adult Sasuke doesn't really show much of a difference.
War Arc Naruto matched that Sasuke while holding back. Adult Sasuke is clearly weaker than his War arc version.
So the assumption off based knowledge would be Adult Naruto is weaker than his End of War Arc version, Physically.
But Adult Naruto is stronger in aspects of experience.
Power doesn't mean everything...that much is a theme proven throughout all of Naruto.
It's impossible to say who'd win in a fight.
but Base Adult Naruto vs Base End of War Arc Naruto would probably be a better fight to analyze.

Was Naruto and Sasuke nerfed in Boruto? Yes and No. This is gonna be a long one, but let me explain.
Boruto era Naruto and Sasuke would ABSOLUTELY DOMINATE their Shippuden counterparts physically(i.e., power, speed, etc) . It's no question that as adults, they would beat their teenage selves half to death. BUT! Naruto and Sasuke aren't using NEARLY ANY of the powers they have at their disposal.
Let's start with Naruto first. He is still technically the connection point for all of the Tailed Beast to keep in contact with each other(they haven't said anything to the contrary yet) so he should still be able to use their abilities when needed, like:
1 Tails: Creates markings on any attack that seals an opponent's movements. Pair this with the chakra limbs Naruto creates, and he basically has the steroid version of his mom's sealing chains.
2 Tails: Blue Fire that's hotter than all others(except maybe amaterasu). Add that to his Rasenshuriken, and his strongest move gets stronger. If he doesn't want the attack to get absorbed, throw it near the enemy and let the explosion do the work.
3 Tails: Creates Coral. Add Naruto's INSANE chakra to the mix, and you have amazing defensive barriers.
4 Tails: Lava. I don't know if he could fuse the lava armor with his chakra cloak, but he can at least add both that and his blue flames to his Rasenshuriken.
5 Tails: BOIL RELEASE! Naruto's personal Kaio-Ken multiplier. Enough said.
6 Tails: Poison. Add that to any attack to slowly wear down an enemy(preferably his truth seeking orb weapons, but we will get to that later).
7 Tails: Blinding light... powder? Don't know the specifics of what it is, but it could blind an enemy for a sucker punch or two.
8 Tails: Replace shadow clones with ink clones that can do all of the same things AND seal an enemy's movements when they are destroyed.
9 Tails: It's fine, Naruto already uses this to the best of his abilities.
And if Naruto can't use the other Tailed Beast abilities anymore, then what's stopping him from asking for more chakra in a dire situation through the link he has with them?
Truth Seeking Orbs: I believe three of them got destroyed in Kaguya's dimension, another three got destroyed in his clash with Sasuke, but the final three should still be collecting dust when he used them to seal Madara(or his limbo clone). If Naruto collected them, he would be able to fly and create weapons that would be able to withstand being coated in the 6 Tails poison. He should still be able to use them since he still has SO6P Sage mode(The Sage of Six Paths took the seals on Naruto and Sasuke's palms before their final battle where they blew each others arms off blah blah blah). Though he seems to have lost it when he lost Kurama.
And Finally, Asura Avatar: If Naruto left a Clone to collect Nature energy whenever he heads off into battle, then he would be able to transform his Kurama Avatar into the three headed six arm Asura Avatar in a pinch.
For Sasuke, it's even worse because I had to use SOME conjecture to defend my Naruto points, but Sasuke needs NONE of that.
The Sharingan can slow down the user's perception of time for Taijutsu, copy ninjutsu, and cast powerful genjustu. Fine. But Sasuke only uses ONE of his TWO Mangekyo abilities. Has amaterasu for days, but never uses his flame control to manipulate his amaterasu in different ways that could catch an Otsutsuki off guard(like coating his sword with it so that every slash places the flames IN your body).
And don't get me started on his Rinnegan. The eye that gives him MULTIPLE abilities that he DOESNT use(except teleportation). For example:
Deva path: He uses it SOMETIMES, but never to FLY LIKE PAIN DID!
Asura path: Could replace his lost arm with an expendable robotic one in a fight that could shoot missiles and chakra lasers, but no(if the Asura arm cant be absorbed, then neither can the missiles).
Naraka Path: Sasuke doesn't have Naruto's healing factor but can still heal himself as long as Naruto gives him time.
Human and Animal Path: Comes with various uses against weaker enemies, but against Otsutsuki, would only pose as a distraction at best. I can see why Sasuke doesn't use these honestly.
Preta Path: Sasuke's always running out of chakra and never uses this shit to get more. And if Nauto is there, he can absorb some of his NEAR INFINITE AMOUNTS OF CHAKRA(its absurd how much Naruto has) to transform his Perfect Susano'o into his blue and purple Indra Susano'o.
While most of Naruto's and Sasuke's abilities might be useless against Otsutsuki, let's not forget that they are NINJA! No matter how strong Naruto or Sasuke gets, stealth trickery and deception are their bread and butter. All they gotta do is add some creativity to the mix, and Ishiki would be sweating. But Naruto and Sasuke don't fight like ninja. They fight like Otsutsuki.
And if you are wondering if the two could defeat Jigen if they used all of their abilities? I believe so. Ishiki? Even if the two fused the Asura Avatar and Indra Susano'o, I doubt it. But they would definitely give him a hard time.

This may not be relevant, but people actually think that Boruto isn't in the Naruto manga, even though he is clearly shown in chapter 700. (And also chapters 701-710 of the Shin Uchiha story, which has Naruto as the title)
