To be fair sasuke actually had a reason to be terrified unlike Naruto when they were attacked by grunts. Orochimaru is the real deal, and Naruto’s stupidity would’ve gotten them all killed if sasuke hadn’t stepped up and proven himself to orochimaru.

In hindsight Naruto's "virtually unbelievable progress" as Sasuke put it makes a lot more sense with Kakashi's explanation that shadow clones are basically an exp farm. Naruto throws those out in huge numbers all the time in his part 1 fights, it fits that he improves so quickly compared to his peers that are even stated to be of superior talent.
Just think of how many times he's shadow clones get folded the experience gained from each clone and how many times Naruto subconsciously would learn in combat that many other Shinobi would not shadow clones are so op it's crazy

I would say jiraya more gave Naruto a family and so with love. Power wise Jiraya taught him how to channel 9 tails chakra, rasengan and summoning primarily. I do believe him teaching big ball rasengan led to Naruto realizing he could do other things with the rasengan as well. So jiraya definitely did push Naruto power wise but I’m not sure if attribute it to being mainly through a mental amp
Let's not get crazy. Jiraiya didn't really do that much for him, tbh. Nartuo came back and still couldn't do a rasengan by himself. Instead of focusing on just using Kurama's power, Kishimoto should've had a bigger focus on expanding Naruto's skill set. Expand on the sealing arts. Expand Naruto's jutsu repertoire. using Shadow Clones during the 2-3 time skip, he could've come back crazy OP. Without Sage Mode or Kurama's power.

He definitely had a crazy first year as a genin. One thing I wish we saw was team 7 celebrating birthdays. Imagine Sasuke and Sakura planning something with Kakashi to celebrate Naruto's birthday. As well as them planning something for Sasuke's. Would've been very wholesome.

At some point in the manga's development, it seemed the idea with Naruto's team was that Naruto would be the Taijutsu guy cause he sucks at Ninjutsu, Sasuke would have the Ninjutsu covered thanks to the Sharingan, and Sakura would be the Genjutsu user cause she was... good at Genjutsu... for some reason... That structure fell apart around Chunin Exams when Kishimoto realized he needed to write more characters with more unique abilities to keep things from getting stale, but you can see parts of that same structure in every one of the Konoha 12's teams and the idea of specialized fighters got reworked into other characters like Rock Lee.
Naruto being dumb and not good at ninjutsu is just baffling to me. Especially considering who his parents are. So unless they kept him dumb for a reason, it makes zero sense why he is like that. Except for Kishimoto making him that way. Naruto could've been a powerhouse character but what we got was good but just felt lacking so much.

When I watched Naruto when I was younger, I always thought Naruto was kind of lame and a terrible fighter, but he always had pl0t to assist him. Wasn't until much later that I realised he was actually really admirable, and the shit he had to go through to get a lot of these power-ups.
I feel like when people say "luffy beats naruto" they forget that luffy was like 17 at the very start, naruto was like 12 with bigger feats. Even in the end of shippuden he was 19, just at the start of luffy in timeskip.

I dont really feel like this is much for a debate. Og Naruto definitely felt like a tighter and more grounded story. A lot of good choreographed combat, a colorful cast that you wanted to see more of etc. Shippuden is great but it definitely is the series that hammered the nail in with a lot of criticisms people have with the franchise as a whole (including Boruto)

Being a Namikaze and an Uzumaki, mentored by Kakashi, Jiraiya and sage frogs + kyubii he is naturally gifted (but talent didn't come naturally he had to grind) and is surrounded by amazing people. He didn't have it that bad unlike Sasuke. He got bullied as a kid, has no parents and got out casted same thing happens in real life

I'm back again watching this, thinking I hadn't (which is weird, lol) but it's crazy how OP Naruto could've been if Kishimoto did give him the typical shounen MC treatment. "Oh he's dumb and can't figure things out, etc", which in hindsight makes no sense for his character, when his father is Minato and his mother is Kushina. Otherwise why was his father a "prodigy" and his son a "prodigy" but it somehow skipped Naruto? Lol. Genetics do matter in that regard. But it's unimportant, I just think Kishimoto missed a huge opportunity with Naruto and we see how creative he can be in Boruto.
The one thing that Naruto has that is his own is he never gives up he won’t stop unless he’s dead or unable to continue and it pays to have friends he became loved and respected by the people he was around and when he needed them they came to his aid.

This video was cool. Naruto had some incredible feats, most of which were allowed by the nine tails. Still doesn't change the fact that his taijutsu was average at best. That's why he needed all those shadow clones, and even those got bodied one after the other on multiple occassions.

On gamabunta seeming to get small: it doesn’t mean anything. Kurama has also gotten smaller. When he attacked the leaf, minato was much smaller than his fingernail (since he got peirced by it.) Now look at the minato one shot, where a smaller minato is not that much smaller than the head of the nine tails (look at the panel where the tasengan and bijuu bomb clash) other scenes also come to mind (naruto saying farewell to kurama after using baryon mode in the anime vs, say, in the war where naruto fit very easily inside kurama’s head.) The point is that for such massive beasts, kishi will resize them so that he can better contextualize them in the scene. Teen Minato able to combat the nine tails? Let’s make the nine tails smaller so that minato seems bigger (making him look like a formidable force). Similarly, in the panels you showed where gamabunta seems smaller, thise panels also always have something else going on (surrounding ninjas are seen doing something). If gamabunta was drawn to scale, it would have been impossible to fit both gamabunta and the ninjas in the same panel.
Two of these times you mentioned { teen Minto vs kurama and kurama when he was dying amd saying good bye to naurto} happened in mental spaces whee iy would be normal if things are out of order

Look at naruto vs kurama (the battle which led to naruto getting kcm) kurama is much bigger even though it’s a mental space. There’s also numerous other times where naruto talks to kurama in the mental space in part 1, asking for chakra, and even though we only see a glimpse of kurama, he seems much bigger than the smaller version.

It’s crazy Kakashi never told Naruto that he could gain experience through the shadow clones until part 2. He taught Sasuke the Chidori but couldn’t even tell him that. He didn’t want to teach Naruto the Rasengan. He was trying to hold him back. He didn’t even show them their chakra natures until part two! Wtf was wrong with Kakashi?

It might have been mentioned already. Naruto summoning Gamabunta the first time was not Naruto's chakra alone. Jiraya three Naruto to his would-be death in order to force Naruto into using the nine-tails chakra.
When talking about age relative to insane feats my mind goes to Kakashi more than anybody because the man seems like a completely different breed. At the age you are talking about with Naruto Kakashi was already a freaking Jonin like what the hell were the feeding this boy.
I mean, most of this is "Naruto has a Kyuubi-sized 'I Win' button." Sure, he had to train to access it more reliably, but Neji was destroying him with impunity until Naruto showed that he is in fact the must super special awesome person of them all. Also, Kabuto getting hit by that Rasengan at all was him jobbing like hell, since he was shown blitzing the crap out of Naruto for that entire fight up till he just suddenly stood there and tanked the hit.
Naruto using 1000 clones to defeat half transformed gaara when Sasuke didn't stand a chance really should've been a huge moment. He didnt have 2 chakra natures , super perception&reaction basically slowing time whenever and during that slow time you can avoid all attacks near or even above your speed level as long as they aren't quicker than you. You stole rock lees whole special fight style in 2 weeks when you were slower than him with 2 to 300 lb weights and caught up to his speed without them and borrowed his master taijutsu. Also you're a prodigy but still naruto surpassed that somehow all that improvement was nothing vs. Tailed beast gaara and naruto 1000 clones easily destroyed him
I still wonder, if Naruto did all of this at the age of 12, while being not a very super smart fighter, but as a chakra heavy loaded ninja, i could only imagine what he could do in a potential future of Boruto part 2 if he pulls a Kakashi like training to not only stay relevant without Kurama, but also outdo his past self, like Kakashi did, because Gaara actually got a lot stronger without Shukaku, and he in the future became the strongest Kage of his village, maybe even stronger than all previous kage of his village combined. So i definitely can see Naruto pull it of if only Kishimoto would make it happen. Because Naruto has Uzumaki vitality and chakra, which expanded in time, 5 chakra natures, Sage mode, rasengans, High level taijutsu, and since Shikamaru is the Hokage, Naruto can continue to train himself, because he is a great shinobi and warrior, who if he was thought properly from the beginning, he still would have been arguably the strongest Hokage even without Kurama.
I'm bored when people say that Naruto wasn't an underdog because he have Kyubi and a shit ton of chakra in him. Naruto as an underdog have the same arc as Poe in Kung Fu Panda. An underdog who became strong not only by training, but by transforming his biggest weakness into a strength. Because like Jiraya say everyone have their strengths and their weaknesses they have to develop to become stronger (exactly like Lee did) And no, the fact he is the child of prophecy and a reincarnation of Ashura don't contradict that. You just don't know what these concepts are and how they work
For me Naruto at the end of part one with the one tail form was high chunin low jonin level which is already amazing in context of the rest of the Naruto worlds power. Like people saying Naruto was a idiot and weak seems so dumb when you look at his part one feats that you gotta wonder how no one saw that potential sooner.
Naruto’s progress in part 1 makes his progress during the time skip that much more disappointing while I fine with him not being able to create the rasenshuriken till shippudden he still should have been able to use rasengan one handed no clone assistance and have jirayha teach him his frog jutsu hair needle and some sealing would have been fine
Same, I exepcted alot more from Shipuden in terms of skills when it comes to Naruto. It's why I love fanfictions that outright say "and naruto trained" because the main story really did not do that. There is no way Jiurya spent 2 whole fucking years just teaching naruto the basics and tactics.
Been rewatching shippuden and this still boggles my mind that the major difference between Naruto in part 1 and Naruto in the beginning of part 2 was how often Naruto would go nine tails. Then the show progresses with Naruto learning stuff within days that Jiraiya (for some reason) didn't think to teach him in THREE whole years ?
Its even more impressive considering naruto lack of training during the academy, compared to sasuke who had years prior to effective training than naruto yet he can compete with sasuke throughout the entire story until sasuke was using drugs to increase his gains

For the record, Gamabunta is not a tool, he's a partner Naruto can call to help* him. If Naruto were to use Gamabunta in the Chunin Exams for example, he'd probably get disqualified because the exam is supposed to test his* power, not Gamabunta's. Heck, Naruto got disqualified against Konohamaru for using sage mode, presumably because natural chakra was seen as an external factor, kind of like Boruto's scientific tool. And if Naruto summoned Gamabunta against Sasuke, he'd probably say that this is Sasuke's choice and leave.
Got to remember that the konoha 12 as genin were special cases. Powerscaling them with shinobi ranks is hard because, as genin, they are high chunin to low jonin level in terms of potential and talent, but they all dont get the same development. I'd say letter tier ranking them is more appropriate.
One thing I will say is that, if Naruto was in One Piece.. he wiuld have one of the Strongest Conqueror Hakis in the Verse...((especially if you remember him doing Guts Rasengan that time))

Slightly random question, but during the years he was away training the orphans, was Jiraya also trying to master the Rasengan or did he do that after leaving them? Like, had he mastered it during that timeframe why wouldn’t he teach Nagato?
from what i have seen naruto was at a major disadvantage, even compared to the civies. Due to the abuse and hatred we can assume that his education was lacking. his maturity and other factors were damaged due to his surroundings. his training was likely sabotaged in some form along with his complete incapability with genjutsu. yet he still managed to outrun ninja and was abnormally strong for his age bracket. This was likely due to his body being constantly healed by the fox. This would have positive effects such as stronger muscles and other such things due to his wounds being healed and allowing him to train in ways that others could not for longer. that is not to even think about his supply of chakra. If the boy had been trained right and taught well he would have been a monster.
It's like he has the power of the strongest divided tailed beasts, was the son of the man who was at one time going to be considered the god of ninjas and is the reincarnation of an extremely powerful person.
Weightless rock lee is easily chunin level, as he can outspeed gaaras sand. Gaara is shown through the Forrest of death to be above all of the nameless chunin in the leaf village by not getting a scratch in the Forrest of death and breaking the speed record. Neji is not impressed with weightless lee speed, and it is said lee needs the gates to surpass his speed and strength. Naruto with ninetails chakra is matching neji in speed. Then grows stronger through battle time and the need to survive to be able to take on transformed gaara (gaara underestimated him) Basically with the summoning jutsu and extra ninetails power, Naruto performs jonin level feats and above constantly in part 1.
I think hlthe most powerful thing about Naruto was his willpower. That's why I love Naruto the character. Man was supposed to quit before he started, and look at what he made out.
I always wished Naruto had actually done some damage to Neji before pulling out the nine tails. Love the fight but I’m Just not a fan of one sided stomps where the main character doesn’t land a single hit before winning with a single hit. (The explosion did most of the damage I know.)
Not gonna lie, I'd like to see stage 2 Sasuke vs Gamabunta since we didn't see him fight, but he's implied to be relative to 1 Tail Naruto. Also Kimimaro would be an interesting match up. The only real threat to Bunta is the Dance of the Seedling Fern, but he's big enough that he can just jump away. At the same time, though, Gamabunta's sword isn't going to do anything against Kimimaro. Of course, in a battle of attrition Kimimaro loses to himself.
Keyboard warrior/Nitpciker The only age were told about Naruto is that he id 12. And while we are 'told' that 13 years have pasted since Minato defeated the Nine tails during the Chunin exam arc. The statement was more treated as a rounding up statement rather then a accurate statement. Also all of Naruto friend group are 12, and since there wasn't a comment made about anyone turning 13. There also the fact that the Timeskip was 3 years (not 2 and half which was something the done) and Naruto is 15 when he returns.

Taking down Neji was plot armor heavy. I wish Kishimoto hadn’t written the fight the way it went down. You mentioned Neji landed the 64 palms techinque on Naruto which is supposed to incapacitate the target yet Naruto gets back up. Not to mention Neji pretty just striking his chakra points the entire round constantly. Naruto one shots Neji and that’s it.

Naruto jumped to Kage level when he fought Haku. Forget what you thought. But Haku>Kakashi>Zabuza. KN0 Naruto with his bloodlust amp became so strong Haku couldn't even do jutsu anymore. And Kakashi and Zabuza became scared of the sheer power Naruto released from the seal.

In hindsight Naruto's "virtually unbelievable progress" as Sasuke put it makes a lot more sense with Kakashi's explanation that shadow clones are basically an exp farm. Naruto throws those out in huge numbers all the time in his part 1 fights, it fits that he improves so quickly compared to his peers that are even stated to be of superior talent.
Just think of how many times he's shadow clones get folded the experience gained from each clone and how many times Naruto subconsciously would learn in combat that many other Shinobi would not shadow clones are so op it's crazy

I would say jiraya more gave Naruto a family and so with love. Power wise Jiraya taught him how to channel 9 tails chakra, rasengan and summoning primarily. I do believe him teaching big ball rasengan led to Naruto realizing he could do other things with the rasengan as well. So jiraya definitely did push Naruto power wise but I’m not sure if attribute it to being mainly through a mental amp
Let's not get crazy. Jiraiya didn't really do that much for him, tbh. Nartuo came back and still couldn't do a rasengan by himself. Instead of focusing on just using Kurama's power, Kishimoto should've had a bigger focus on expanding Naruto's skill set. Expand on the sealing arts. Expand Naruto's jutsu repertoire. using Shadow Clones during the 2-3 time skip, he could've come back crazy OP. Without Sage Mode or Kurama's power.

At some point in the manga's development, it seemed the idea with Naruto's team was that Naruto would be the Taijutsu guy cause he sucks at Ninjutsu, Sasuke would have the Ninjutsu covered thanks to the Sharingan, and Sakura would be the Genjutsu user cause she was... good at Genjutsu... for some reason...
That structure fell apart around Chunin Exams when Kishimoto realized he needed to write more characters with more unique abilities to keep things from getting stale, but you can see parts of that same structure in every one of the Konoha 12's teams and the idea of specialized fighters got reworked into other characters like Rock Lee.

Naruto being dumb and not good at ninjutsu is just baffling to me. Especially considering who his parents are. So unless they kept him dumb for a reason, it makes zero sense why he is like that. Except for Kishimoto making him that way. Naruto could've been a powerhouse character but what we got was good but just felt lacking so much.

When I watched Naruto when I was younger, I always thought Naruto was kind of lame and a terrible fighter, but he always had pl0t to assist him. Wasn't until much later that I realised he was actually really admirable, and the shit he had to go through to get a lot of these power-ups.
I feel like when people say "luffy beats naruto" they forget that luffy was like 17 at the very start, naruto was like 12 with bigger feats. Even in the end of shippuden he was 19, just at the start of luffy in timeskip.

I dont really feel like this is much for a debate. Og Naruto definitely felt like a tighter and more grounded story. A lot of good choreographed combat, a colorful cast that you wanted to see more of etc. Shippuden is great but it definitely is the series that hammered the nail in with a lot of criticisms people have with the franchise as a whole (including Boruto)

He didn't have it that bad unlike Sasuke. He got bullied as a kid, has no parents and got out casted same thing happens in real life
For the first 12 years of his life he didn’t have any of that his entire existence was either hated or completely ignored by the rest of the village

I'm back again watching this, thinking I hadn't (which is weird, lol) but it's crazy how OP Naruto could've been if Kishimoto did give him the typical shounen MC treatment. "Oh he's dumb and can't figure things out, etc", which in hindsight makes no sense for his character, when his father is Minato and his mother is Kushina. Otherwise why was his father a "prodigy" and his son a "prodigy" but it somehow skipped Naruto? Lol.
Genetics do matter in that regard. But it's unimportant, I just think Kishimoto missed a huge opportunity with Naruto and we see how creative he can be in Boruto.

The one thing that Naruto has that is his own is he never gives up he won’t stop unless he’s dead or unable to continue and it pays to have friends he became loved and respected by the people he was around and when he needed them they came to his aid.

This video was cool. Naruto had some incredible feats, most of which were allowed by the nine tails. Still doesn't change the fact that his taijutsu was average at best. That's why he needed all those shadow clones, and even those got bodied one after the other on multiple occassions.

I’ve always thought that in retrospect, Naruto’s life is basically legendary. Like he will become a legend and became a legend like his father and other shinobi before him. Fighting off Shukaku and inadvertently protecting the village dolo was basically insane at genin. It’s crazy that no one was talking about it in the village as well, like they should have been regarding Naruto as a prodigy

On gamabunta seeming to get small: it doesn’t mean anything. Kurama has also gotten smaller. When he attacked the leaf, minato was much smaller than his fingernail (since he got peirced by it.) Now look at the minato one shot, where a smaller minato is not that much smaller than the head of the nine tails (look at the panel where the tasengan and bijuu bomb clash) other scenes also come to mind (naruto saying farewell to kurama after using baryon mode in the anime vs, say, in the war where naruto fit very easily inside kurama’s head.)
The point is that for such massive beasts, kishi will resize them so that he can better contextualize them in the scene. Teen Minato able to combat the nine tails? Let’s make the nine tails smaller so that minato seems bigger (making him look like a formidable force). Similarly, in the panels you showed where gamabunta seems smaller, thise panels also always have something else going on (surrounding ninjas are seen doing something). If gamabunta was drawn to scale, it would have been impossible to fit both gamabunta and the ninjas in the same panel.
Two of these times you mentioned { teen Minto vs kurama and kurama when he was dying amd saying good bye to naurto} happened in mental spaces whee iy would be normal if things are out of order

Look at naruto vs kurama (the battle which led to naruto getting kcm) kurama is much bigger even though it’s a mental space. There’s also numerous other times where naruto talks to kurama in the mental space in part 1, asking for chakra, and even though we only see a glimpse of kurama, he seems much bigger than the smaller version.

He didn’t want to teach Naruto the Rasengan. He was trying to hold him back. He didn’t even show them their chakra natures until part two! Wtf was wrong with Kakashi?

It might have been mentioned already. Naruto summoning Gamabunta the first time was not Naruto's chakra alone. Jiraya three Naruto to his would-be death in order to force Naruto into using the nine-tails chakra.
When talking about age relative to insane feats my mind goes to Kakashi more than anybody because the man seems like a completely different breed. At the age you are talking about with Naruto Kakashi was already a freaking Jonin like what the hell were the feeding this boy.
Well at Kakashi's age, Naruto is fighting Bijuu, Sannin, Anbu (Whatever Haku is) and Legendary Mist Swordsmen.
I mean, most of this is "Naruto has a Kyuubi-sized 'I Win' button." Sure, he had to train to access it more reliably, but Neji was destroying him with impunity until Naruto showed that he is in fact the must super special awesome person of them all.
Also, Kabuto getting hit by that Rasengan at all was him jobbing like hell, since he was shown blitzing the crap out of Naruto for that entire fight up till he just suddenly stood there and tanked the hit.
Naruto using 1000 clones to defeat half transformed gaara when Sasuke didn't stand a chance really should've been a huge moment. He didnt have 2 chakra natures , super perception&reaction basically slowing time whenever and during that slow time you can avoid all attacks near or even above your speed level as long as they aren't quicker than you. You stole rock lees whole special fight style in 2 weeks when you were slower than him with 2 to 300 lb weights and caught up to his speed without them and borrowed his master taijutsu. Also you're a prodigy but still naruto surpassed that somehow all that improvement was nothing vs. Tailed beast gaara and naruto 1000 clones easily destroyed him
I still wonder, if Naruto did all of this at the age of 12, while being not a very super smart fighter, but as a chakra heavy loaded ninja, i could only imagine what he could do in a potential future of Boruto part 2 if he pulls a Kakashi like training to not only stay relevant without Kurama, but also outdo his past self, like Kakashi did, because Gaara actually got a lot stronger without Shukaku, and he in the future became the strongest Kage of his village, maybe even stronger than all previous kage of his village combined. So i definitely can see Naruto pull it of if only Kishimoto would make it happen. Because Naruto has Uzumaki vitality and chakra, which expanded in time, 5 chakra natures, Sage mode, rasengans, High level taijutsu, and since Shikamaru is the Hokage, Naruto can continue to train himself, because he is a great shinobi and warrior, who if he was thought properly from the beginning, he still would have been arguably the strongest Hokage even without Kurama.
I'm bored when people say that Naruto wasn't an underdog because he have Kyubi and a shit ton of chakra in him. What these people don't understand is the fact that Kyubi and the chakra Naruto has in him are in reality his weakness, not only in life (because he is alone and hated because of this) but also in fight because the tons of chakra he have are the reason why he have a bad chakra control at first which is the reason why he is seen as a failure (it's explained by Kakashi, Ebisu and Jiraya). Naruto as an underdog have the same arc as Poe in Kung Fu Panda. An underdog who became strong not only by training, but by transforming his biggest weakness into a strength. Because like Jiraya say everyone have their strengths and their weaknesses they have to develop to become stronger (exactly like Lee did)
And no, the fact he is the child of prophecy and a reincarnation of Ashura don't contradict that. You just don't know what these concepts are and how they work

For me Naruto at the end of part one with the one tail form was high chunin low jonin level which is already amazing in context of the rest of the Naruto worlds power.
Like people saying Naruto was a idiot and weak seems so dumb when you look at his part one feats that you gotta wonder how no one saw that potential sooner.
He wasn't weak or dumb, he just had no training or finesse to his combat and relied heavily on mental amps/the nine tails.
Naruto’s progress in part 1 makes his progress during the time skip that much more disappointing while I fine with him not being able to create the rasenshuriken till shippudden he still should have been able to use rasengan one handed no clone assistance and have jirayha teach him his frog jutsu hair needle and some sealing would have been fine
Same, I exepcted alot more from Shipuden in terms of skills when it comes to Naruto. It's why I love fanfictions that outright say "and naruto trained" because the main story really did not do that.
There is no way Jiurya spent 2 whole fucking years just teaching naruto the basics and tactics.
Been rewatching shippuden and this still boggles my mind that the major difference between Naruto in part 1 and Naruto in the beginning of part 2 was how often Naruto would go nine tails. Then the show progresses with Naruto learning stuff within days that Jiraiya (for some reason) didn't think to teach him in THREE whole years ?

For the record, Gamabunta is not a tool, he's a partner Naruto can call to help* him.
If Naruto were to use Gamabunta in the Chunin Exams for example, he'd probably get disqualified because the exam is supposed to test his* power, not Gamabunta's.
Heck, Naruto got disqualified against Konohamaru for using sage mode, presumably because natural chakra was seen as an external factor, kind of like Boruto's scientific tool.
And if Naruto summoned Gamabunta against Sasuke, he'd probably say that this is Sasuke's choice and leave.
Got to remember that the konoha 12 as genin were special cases. Powerscaling them with shinobi ranks is hard because, as genin, they are high chunin to low jonin level in terms of potential and talent, but they all dont get the same development. I'd say letter tier ranking them is more appropriate.
An idea for your next video: Kakashi couldn't train Naruto until shippuuden due to the plot, not negligence or favoritism.
One thing I will say is that, if Naruto was in One Piece.. he wiuld have one of the Strongest Conqueror Hakis in the Verse...((especially if you remember him doing Guts Rasengan that time))

from what i have seen naruto was at a major disadvantage, even compared to the civies. Due to the abuse and hatred we can assume that his education was lacking. his maturity and other factors were damaged due to his surroundings. his training was likely sabotaged in some form along with his complete incapability with genjutsu.
yet he still managed to outrun ninja and was abnormally strong for his age bracket.
This was likely due to his body being constantly healed by the fox. This would have positive effects such as stronger muscles and other such things due to his wounds being healed and allowing him to train in ways that others could not for longer. that is not to even think about his supply of chakra.

It's like he has the power of the strongest divided tailed beasts, was the son of the man who was at one time going to be considered the god of ninjas and is the reincarnation of an extremely powerful person.
Weightless rock lee is easily chunin level, as he can outspeed gaaras sand. Gaara is shown through the Forrest of death to be above all of the nameless chunin in the leaf village by not getting a scratch in the Forrest of death and breaking the speed record.
Neji is not impressed with weightless lee speed, and it is said lee needs the gates to surpass his speed and strength.
Naruto with ninetails chakra is matching neji in speed. Then grows stronger through battle time and the need to survive to be able to take on transformed gaara (gaara underestimated him)
Basically with the summoning jutsu and extra ninetails power, Naruto performs jonin level feats and above constantly in part 1.
I think hlthe most powerful thing about Naruto was his willpower. That's why I love Naruto the character. Man was supposed to quit before he started, and look at what he made out.

Not gonna lie, I'd like to see stage 2 Sasuke vs Gamabunta since we didn't see him fight, but he's implied to be relative to 1 Tail Naruto.
Also Kimimaro would be an interesting match up. The only real threat to Bunta is the Dance of the Seedling Fern, but he's big enough that he can just jump away. At the same time, though, Gamabunta's sword isn't going to do anything against Kimimaro. Of course, in a battle of attrition Kimimaro loses to himself.

Also all of Naruto friend group are 12, and since there wasn't a comment made about anyone turning 13.
There also the fact that the Timeskip was 3 years (not 2 and half which was something the done) and Naruto is 15 when he returns.

Taking down Neji was plot armor heavy. I wish Kishimoto hadn’t written the fight the way it went down. You mentioned Neji landed the 64 palms techinque on Naruto which is supposed to incapacitate the target yet Naruto gets back up. Not to mention Neji pretty just striking his chakra points the entire round constantly. Naruto one shots Neji and that’s it.

Yo don’t forget to mention that in the fight with sasuke in the valley that naruto was holding back TREMENDOUSLY not only by not summoning gamabunta but dude was definitely pulling his punches while sasuke was literally giving his all. Naruto jumped to Kage level when he fought Haku. Forget what you thought. But Haku>Kakashi>Zabuza. KN0 Naruto with his bloodlust amp became so strong Haku couldn't even do jutsu anymore. And Kakashi and Zabuza became scared of the sheer power Naruto released from the seal.
