Thanks for watching everyone, much appreciated! After reading through comments of these videos, I’d like to give some insight on my thought process in making these CG tributes. I work in visual effects in my day job, so these personal projects are an opportunity for me to do the things that I rarely get to do during the day - Editing / directing a short trailer, art / colour / mood direction, storyboarding, and of course music production. The CG and animation are secondary for me. Is the CG / voice acting / animation quality on par with the film and tv world? Of course not. It takes a decent sized team, time, and adequate budget to do what we see on the big screen. I think of these CG tributes to DBZ and One Piece as 'concept art' but more developed; maybe ‘concept videos’ would be a better term? A rough sketch of the tone / mood / music that I would personally do with these amazing Mangas. Next up - To the Grand Line!
you honestly did an incredible job with it and i love this video! you gave so much life to the going merry and baratie, and the mood for arlong park or nami visiting bellemers grave is just "chefs kiss" it's absolutely spot on!
@@Khn_2102 i have a feeling we will 100% now get something in between. Because Oda Eiichero is also directing and paying close attention to the series directing and casting. If Oda is co-directing, than it only makes sense that we won't get a failure of a prdloduct like bleach lice action and full metal alchemist live action.

But he's really enthusiastic & positive about it that i started to become curious. The showrunners & the cast are all super into it. They even built the OG Going Merry. Oda announced it in like what, 2017? It took years to write the script, gather budget & finish casting. It's not a rushed project.. They listened to the fans as well, eg: Emily Rudd as Nami. Apparently, the budget is even higher than Game of Thrones. Most importantly, Oda is calling the important shots. I hope it'll stay that way if the series went longer than 1 season. If anything else, i feel like we owe it to Oda to give the live action series a shot. This is one of his dream project after all.
You got plenty of praise already but honestly love that One Piece has such talented fans! Great things will come in the future for OP in general…. People like you are spearheading the future generation of fans!
This is why I think the One Piece live action can work. They only have to treat well the characters and keep the feeling of being both cartoonish and legendary.

Seriously??? Netflix is spending millions on it, on this they spent maybe like a couple of hundreds, Netflix will have Oda himself supervising the whole thing...animations in this thing are quite bad, and voice acting is even worse so...

You should probably know that a channel called "CrypticHD" has reuploaded this video on their channel and is clickbaiting people into thinking it's an official Netflix trailer for their new series. Not sure what kind of action you can take, but thought it best someone let you know.
With the live action, I'm not worried about CGI, cinematography etc. I'm worried about how the story will unfold and also will the actors be able to give justice to the characters? Anyway, this is such an amazing video 😍🙌

I'd rather just have this than the netflix version. This is incredible. Disclaimer for everyone leaving stupid replies: No, I'm not "criticizing" the netflix version. I just prefer animation to live action in general so this is more appealing to me personally. Don't get your grannie panties in a twist. People have preferences.
beyond uncomparable.... i would love it if the manga finished and then the anime caught up to that finish and as soon as it was finished we had this cgi version already ready to go..... people who don't even watch anime or read manga would be hooked.... this would by far make more money than anything previously made before it in existence, beyond just anime and movies and cgi and whatever...... i would absolutely invest..... your great wai kin.....
