I too have a house on the lake in the UP. But, with central heat and air, king size beds, an 85” TV (among others), pool table and game room, and similar quiet and serenity in the woods. Yea…it’s not homesteading, but I’ll take the comfort! 😀😀

Pretty cool cabin! Three folks pull up in a single cab pick up....how to tell the smart one?.....it's the middle passenger....one has to drive...one has to open the gates....one just enjoys the drive :)....I subbed and thank U for sharing your cabin experience :)

@@cabinlife4551 Thanks for the info. My experience has been focused upon the U.P. and northernmost several of the L.P. counties, so I didn't realize that Clare could be so hardcore Northwoods.
Kalamazoo area. Use a wood and coal stove exclusively. Who can afford gas?

How warm does the wood stove get the cabin?
We can get it pretty warm In there we have had it up in the eighties before The Wood stove does I really nice job.

It is a heat activated fan The heat makes it spin

All I am going to say is, your a lucky man to have a wife that does everything she does including still doing all of the cooking and everything.
