I bought a 10 acres and had a good sized shed built for the property. It had electricity on the pole but not water but I'll just say, I'm loving it when I need to get away from things and it's close to the trails to enjoy with the machines I have. Stay Safe and Strong and Enjoy.
Garden Peninsula in Schoolcraft County, here. I have a few acres I primitive camp on. (All-season access.) Retiring next year and hope to spend more time up there. No place I’d rather be. Subscribed.
When you are pulling stumps from your bumper, put an old wheel with a tire upright next to the stump and allow the line to run over the tire. It will pull the stump upright and be easier on your vehicle.
Nice private spot. Looks like you have your work cut out for some time. Lots of hard work but its fun work. Ive been accross that bridge twice in my life. Its quite impressive. Ive heard the have a full time crew just keeping it maintained! Also your fire ring looks to be a chunk of galvanized culvert. I would be cautious about eating food you cook on a galvanized fire ring. The fumes of galvanizing are very toxic and if your fire is hot enough it could cause the galvanized coating to burn and get into your food!
Yes, it’s nice and private up there. Nobody bothers you nobody’s around. I grew up near the bridge. I’ve been across that many times. It doesn’t bother me. It bothers my wife. L O L. yes, good point about the fire ring also.
They call it a seasonal road. Which means it’s not maintained much at all by the county. did you not Power or anything in it for the winter. And they do not Hurley grade it for the summer
