Great video :) A publisher from Brazil (Pipoca e Nanquim) has published Battle Royale deluxe editions. They made a very good job recovering the files and then they sold the files back to the original publisher. It may pop up new English editions in the future
KINGDOOOOOOOM. I suggested a Kingdom read through here something like a year ago but understand the whole scan issue. Its my favorite manga after One Piece. Glad you are taking interest in it. It wont disappoint.
honestly kingdom is one of those that we can ponder over for ages. EVERYONE i talk to who reads seinen is fangirling over kingdom and everyone always is sad there is no english format. ;-;
I definitely think the 2 in ones would be good similar to the Full Metal editions, those are actually my favorite to read in special edition formats are the 2 in 1
@Yulazz1 Unfortunately kingdom is too long otherwise. It's either crappy bricks or dexule or online only like himji no ippo. It's unrealistic to expect anything else. So in order to get dexule, people will need to get bricks or it will end up like Gantz and never get dexule or anything else
Slam Dunk, GTO, King of Wolves, and Kingdom are great choices!! I'd also like to see more Kentaro Miura work get translations! Bastard!! Heavy Metal Dark Fantasy would be awesome to see get a deluxe edition!!
I own Slam Dunk! My 2nd favorite manga of all time, right behind Berserk. I would totally double dip without hesitation if it got a new release in Deluxe format. And I wouldn’t even sell my old copies lol. That’s how much I love Slam Dunk. Also, I agree with your list 100% If I made the list, I would also add Space Brothers. Great video dude! Can’t wait for the next video! Your videos always make my day and I really do enjoy them!
Thanks! Yeah I know Slam Dunk is going to be fantastic when I finally read it and Space Brothers is one that I have heard of but have not looked into yet, but I have heard good things
@@DanielPeppers I can’t wait until you read Slam Dunk and hear your thought about it. I used to live and work in Japan for 3 years. My best friend, who is Japanese told me that his favorite manga of all time are the following: Berserk, Slam Dunk, Space Brothers and Kingdom. Recently, we video chatted and he told me Kingdom is his new favorite manga of all time! Also, he says when he reads Kingdom, it motivates him at work and motivates him to do better at life. To say I’m excited would be an understatement. I think, I’m with you! I would flip the table over if they announced Kingdom to be printed in English!!
I sincerely do hope for a Rave master deluxe. It's the first manga I ever came across in my school library. And I've managed to piece all the volumes up till 23. After that its so hard to find for the rest of the series at a reasonable price.
I'd be happy with any of those you mentioned. Bringing out the titles that are ridiculously expensive now would be awesome. Never heard of King of Wolves before. I really need to check that out!
I would ABSOLUTELY love to see a deluxe edition of Slam Dunk. It's one of my top 3 favorite manga of all time. I am also specially surprised that Dragon Ball does not have one yet. I mean, it's arguably the most influential manga of all time...
I glad that over here in Vietnam did got the deluxe edition treatment although few minor problems, we at 21 right now and only 3 vols left to finish it runs.
Don’t hold me to it, I haven’t checked out the manga personally but that is what I have heard around the internet about that series, you’ll have to let me know how you like it, when you check it out
Would immediately jump at one piece in hardcover/deluxe. I've been mostly anime only until around wano, where i started reading weekly chapters on the sj app. I love one piece, but at least for the manga, I only ever picked up like 3 stray volumes just on a whim while shopping for other stuff. I told myself that if one piece doesn't get some nice hardcover release in about 3 years, I'll just cave and start buying the box sets
it's crazy that they don't do a 5 in 1, fairy tail briefly had that with their master edition few years back, would love that format in hardcover, they should adopt the marvel/dc omnibus format, 600 pages isn't enough, 1,000 pages plus is perfect
As much as I want english translations to tons of manga. It surprises me how little manga importing has caught on in the mainstream. I've been importing manga for some time now. I just use Google lens to translate. It's not always perfect, but it gets the job done.
That is an interesting way to translate manga, I've messed with Google lens a little for other stuff, but I might need to try it for reading Japanese manga.
Adding onto deluxe editions we really need a new Gintama run doesn't matter if its a box set or a deluxe since it never finished it English run and we also need BECK deluxe editions that also never finished its English run but its been picked up digitally by kodansha
Honestly I have no clue how Kingdom hasn't gotten a release yet, let alone a deluxe edition. I don't even actually know much about the series but I still know enough to know it would sell like hot cakes xD. I know it's not gonna happen caus it's not popular enough for it but my fav series is Bunny Girl Senpai so when the series ends in a few volumes I would kill for a all-in-one gigantic brick like Yen Press has done for A Certain Magical Index and the Spice And Wolf anniversary. That Index all-in-one actually looks like a holy relic, it'd be so cool if more series got that kind of edition!
Great video! I agree with most of these titles but, I feel like slam dunk has a better chance of getting a viz big edition or omnibus than a deluxe edition. I’m currently manifesting an AOT Deluxe 🤞🤞
I'll take it either way, Viz Bigs could be really nice for Slam Dunk. Yeah especially with AOT getting those Deluxe editions in Germany...I think that's where they were released.
I don't think the king of wolves is ever gonna get the daylight just because of it's number of volumes for one volume i don't know publishers are ever gonna take it seriously about releasing it. But hopeful for slam dunk and someday for gto.😂😂😂
My most wanted manga in deluxe format would be Sun-Ken Rock by Boichi. How can it not have a physical release yet from any publisher in english ? The art is stellar and story is very good and very fun. In France the manga was published by a small publisher and it is their biggest hit by far.
You live in a bad country manga wise. We here in Belgium already have the Rave Master, Slam Dunk and Battle Royale Deluxe Edition and the Kingdom Deluxe edition is coming out next year.
That's another Series I'm surprised hasn't gotten a special release , Especially with the New Season of the Anime coming... maybe if the anime does well, they'll revisit it and put out a deluxe edition.
Dragon Ball and Pokemon Adventures for me, they're literally two of the giants of the space in one way or another and pokemons 'collectors editions' are still shitty and dragon ball has like four different versions that all lack something about them to make them the clear head and shoulders collectors items at this point I'm not looking to add entire shelves worth of heavy manga to my collection when a single big fantasy novel takes up as much space as 2 volumes of manga but I would jump at the chance to have those Yugioh too while we're there, their 3 in 1 editions are icky

We need those slam dunk perfect editions
honestly kingdom is one of those that we can ponder over for ages. EVERYONE i talk to who reads seinen is fangirling over kingdom and everyone always is sad there is no english format. ;-;
honestly wouldnt mind the yen press 2 in one format for it or the sig viz 2 in one
I definitely think the 2 in ones would be good similar to the Full Metal editions, those are actually my favorite to read in special edition formats are the 2 in 1
Kingdom is so long. Think most would just do 3in1, so less volumes. Also no wear close to ending. This series could just be as long as one piece
@@tazatom most 3 in 1 are trash either too bulky or to thin on the paper im not sure id want that
@Yulazz1

Dragon Ball needs a move deluxe edition. It has influenced so many other works

Since it’s owned my Kodansha I think it will stay digital Kodansha even said there not focusing on old title for print.
We just got Deluxe editions of Battle Royale here in Brazil, 3 in 1 hardcovers, very nice quality

Good news, kind of, is that Kingdom has a deluxe hardcover edition here in Japan. So there is potential that it comes out in America like that.
I glad that over here in Vietnam did got the deluxe edition treatment although few minor problems, we at 21 right now and only 3 vols left to finish it runs.
A great slice of life with a great main character? Well… just like that - you have convinced me to watch or read GTO. Thank you :)

wish black clover had deluxe editions but as grimoires that'll be cool i think you've mentioned that before.
That is one of those wishes that I absolutely want to happen and will immediately without question double dip for those grimoires.
I’d buy kingdom in a heartbeat if they ever released it in English volumes
I need kingdom asap feel like I’ve been waiting for years to read it lol

Omnibus collector already gave the idea of other non berserk titles dexule. They need to print Gou Tanabe dexules and Trigun
Slam dunk needs a perfect edition . Lone wolf and cub needs a deluxe desperately
As much as I love RM I say I’m 99.9% sure it will never get a reprint do to the fact Kodansha has stated they don’t focus on old titles to reprint
You would need a very big shelf to hold a deluxe run of Kingdom.
You live in a bad country manga wise. We here in Belgium already have the Rave Master, Slam Dunk and Battle Royale Deluxe Edition and the Kingdom Deluxe edition is coming out next year.
and Eden:it's an endless world
we need a yuyu hakusho perfect edition
Air Gear needs some sort of reprint! IDC what anyone else thinks! It's true!
If black butler had a deluxe edition it would look beautiful

Yugioh too while we're there, their 3 in 1 editions are icky
It’s insane to recommend a shonen jump series into a deluxe edition, much less a one the creator haven’t read. He def has little credibility lol
You forgot Gantz!!!!
We meed a aot deluxe because i hate the colossal editions because they arent hardcover
That rave master doesn't deserve a deluxe edition. Why? The characters are repeated across series
in my opinion, kingdom is more interesting than vinland Saga and general kanki\Huan Yi is a better written caracter than Ashkeladd
