How Farms Work by Ryan Kuster is a TH-cam channel based in rural Potosi, Wisconsin. Our mission is to teach those who didn't grow up on a farm what the farming life is like. These videos show the Kuster family working together raising cattle and crops. We believe everyone who wants to know more about farming should be able to share the farming experience with us and we look to educate the world on many essential agriculture topics.
How Farms Work takes place on ~1,100 acres with around 75-200 cattle at any given time. Four John Deere tractors are currently used on the farm, which are a 4020, 4640, 7600, and 8235R.

Great vid, as always Ryan. I hope the new bull works well with the others to get the "job" done on schedule. If you ever happen to be here in the Pacific Northwest, and I recognize you I'll be sure to mention HFW when I wave so you know it's one of your fans waving at you.

We just paid $4,800 for a new boer goat buck sire that I'll be traveling 5 hours to pick up east of Kansas City this weekend. We were $800 over "budget" but we were after him specifically. We bid over DVauction vs driving 8 hours to the sale, I was a nervous wreck coming up to that lot and shaking afterwards as the price crept up slightly past where we wanted to buy him at. Then the auctioneer baited me by dropping the top increment to $100 jumps vs $250, we ended up the winners.

Now I'm trying to think when we would kick the bulls out, but it's been so long since we had cattle, around 20 years. If I remember, it was on my great-grandfather's birthday. My grandfather and uncle had around 200 to 250 head of cows. I miss that life. I would spend all summer making hay and fixing fence.

I believe Sonne Farms in South Dakota gets $5k per tested bull at his annual bull sale on farm. A channel collaboration would be worth paying a higher price and Brian supporting Coles channel 200k. Both channels are parallel with subscribers. Do a subscriber poll and ask the question how many are subscribed to both channels. Add in the Rest of the Story and score a hat trick. Cole is also recently engaged.
