- We've been in need of two bulls to breed our cattle. We finally found two bulls ready to go. We brought them home and introduced them to their new family!

How Farms Work by Ryan Kuster is a TH-cam channel based in rural Potosi, Wisconsin.
Our mission is to teach those who didn't grow up on a farm what the farming life is like.
These videos show the Kuster family working together raising cattle and crops. We believe everyone who wants to know more about farming should be able to share the farming experience with us and we look to educate the world on many essential agriculture topics.
How Farms Work takes place on ~1,100 acres with around 75-200 cattle at any given time. Four John Deere tractors are currently used on the farm, which are a 4020, 4640, 7600, and 8235R.
They are both beautiful bulls. Only time will tell if they are successful.

Couldn't help but notice that Travis almost did not need that crutch when that pretty Bull lady was on the scene. LOL
Ralphie jumps out of the trailer and looks around and if he could talk he would say "hey girls young Ralphie is here just relax I will get to all of you very soon LOL
Amazing how good facilities makes loading cattle easy.

We had a young little herford bull. Was worried he wasn't quite right as we never saw him do his business. However, all the cows were impregnated, so he earned the nickname "NightRider"! Seems he didn't do well in the day time, and preferred more of a darkness interlude. Was hoping you'd show the fight with the Alpha cow as they generally do.

Hope your fence is in good shape... When we bring new cattle on the place we always kept them in a strong pen for a couple days where the other cattle could come up next to the pen but they were contained, so the new cattle could get used to the existing herd, the sights, smells, sounds, etc and get a chance to start bonding... Seems like every time we just turned them out in the pasture when they're not accustomed to the other herd or the place, they'd hard for the hills and jump or blow thru the fence heading for home or wherever they came from... A day or so in the pen stopped that...

My dad used to artificially breed our dairy cows. The vets used to do it then dad learned how and he did. Worked out very well, of course the cows were bred in our stantion barn.
FYI the Curt gooseneck ball and safety chain kit instructions video says to use the rearward mounts for the safety chain loops.

Proper wash out makes load out easier, cattle dont like the smells of a trailer that hasnt been washed out.

Tell Travis to drop the hand grip down one position on that crutch and then extend the foot bar out by a couple spots, that will bring the upper brace a bit higher so he can lock it above his bicep. Ideally you want the top pad about 2" below the armpit, just in case your hand slips, if it's too low the crutch can slip out or worse you drop onto it and dislocate your shoulder.

You can never ever trust a bull he can be all calm and peaceful but once they got a herd of cows and started breading they can flip like a light switch I saw it happen manny time's over my farming carrier. Dammm Anna was cute as hell dho lol.

When my dad had knee replacement surgery from a motorcycle incident we all called him gimpy. He was not upset about it at all heck he even called me pretty funny term and that would be a crutch because I was his designated crutch. My sister we all called Brainiac quite a few reasons. At this particular moment in time I cannot quite recall what we used to call my mom. On second thoughts I do recall we called her chauffeur. She used to chauffeur my customers around that were on the receiving end of my mechanics because me and with mechanics it rains and periodically but when it rains it dumps.

Ive been told to try to keeps your bulls off grain as much as possible. Or they gain to much weight and hurt your cows more than they should
