It's really awesome that even though money is tight right now, I can still come to this channel and check out all this free stuff you guys give us. I was already looking forward to trying out the 30 day free program y'all gave us recently, and now I can look forward to the webinar too! Thanks to y'all's advice, I'm down 15 lbs this past month and up 30 on the bench 💪

Wow! I have been really stoked watching your podcast. I continue to watch you guys every day and seem to gain more knowledge in weightlifting. I am 74 and have been weight training since I was in my 30's. During that time I have had alot of injuries to my shoulders and back so you guys have really made a big difference in my life. I look forward every day to your videos. Keep them coming!

Another day another mind pump! I’ve tried to put everyone I know on to your podcast at this point lol. As a college student who is also working towards becoming a personal trainer I would so appreciate a maps program. I don’t have the finances right now so I try to create good programming for myself but constantly fall into the trap of overtraining!!
Sending good luck and fist bumps to everyone commenting for the giveaway though 🤜🤛

I've done weight training for 4 years in high school and never deadlifted. My strength coach didn't really teach us the technique and I was too scared to try it. Fast forward 7 years and now I'm going on almost 2 years of consistent training since I first listened to your guys' podcast. This includes learning how to deadlift. I first started lifting with belts and straps initially and saw tremendous gains because of muscle memory, but I eventually hit a plateau. I realized I was relying too much on the belt and straps and didn't "own" my strength. I've scrapped everything I did and rebuilt my programming and started over with full range of motion without using any training aids. Now I'm at where I used to be, but without the use of a belt or straps.
I appreciate all the knowledge and experience through the podcasts and all the other demo videos you've published. Y'all have earned plenty of life long listeners 👏

My Name is Ashton. I come from a small town and here we have no gyms so I started my own home gym and brought a lot of my neighborhood friends to my gym. I often listened to y’all’s programming when helping them in certain areas that they wanted to improve. You have changed not only my life but the lives of many of my friends. Inspired me to become a personal trainer and I’m working on certifications when I’m not at work or training in my gym. Thank you guys for providing what you do.

I think about the day I woke up on December 18, 2019 and realized I had let my body go down a bad path. It was this day I started my fitness journey. You guys helped me get over my fear of the gym, you made me laugh and helped me fall in love with the process. I refer to December 18 as my second birthday and I have dropped 45 pounds, all from fat and my health has never been better. I am 34 and while I wish I started earlier it’s never too late and I owe a lot to you guys there. Thanks for what you do

22:42 This is EXACTLY what I've been doing. Ankle mobility is what was holding me back. Elevated heels, goblet squats with a kettlebell. My hip mobility is decent, after doing 90/90s for a while, so I can get great depth now without having to lean way forward and round my back. This is excellent advice, that I wish I'd heard sooner.

Great episode today lads! Whenever I heavy squatted I had horrible knee pain. I kept going until i genuinely couldn’t bend my knees anymore. I temporarily stopped barbell squatting and started reverse treadmill walking for 10 mins as well as the ATG Split Squat from Knees over toes guy. Now, I have no pain when full knee bending. I still have hip and ankle mobility issues and so the next goal is to fix those.

My main sport is rock climbing and about a year ago, I started incorporating weight lifting once a week in my training routine (deadlifts, squats, etc). Also added more calories to my diet and creatine.
Climbing is notorious for being a body weight dependent sport. Being a woman also doesn’t help as the ideal body image we’ve been fed is to look slim.
I put on about 10lbs of muscle and ended up climbing harder and setting new fingerboard PRs - how much total weight (body weight + extra) you can hang off your fingers. I experience less injuries on harder climbs and any niggles I get tend to heal a lot faster. I can also hold body tension longer on steeper walls. On days inbetween training, I’ll do trigger sessions then follow up with a super low intensity fingerboard sesh (30% intensity) to take advantage of the anabolic signals.
Appreciate the content you guys create. We need to encourage more women to lift. The more lean muscle a woman has when she’s younger will benefit her when she goes through peri-menopause and menopause.

Literally blamed my knees forever since I was diagnosed with Osgood Slaughters disease when I was a kid. Then blamed my knee pain and inability to squat or deadlift on the years of military trauma from running, ruck marching and jumping out of airplanes. I finally quit playing victim with myself and from watching mindpump learning about the importance of mobility I realized I am just weak in those stability areas. It hurt pretty bad doing the Mobility exercises but I understood that it wasn’t pain from something medically but I know now it’s because of the lack of strength and mobility plus not practicing those movements. So I just continued on with the stretches lil by lil pushing my mobility more and more. And after a few months of that my knees were already feeling stronger and I could get in to a deep squat position which was mind blowing for me. Never in a million years would I have thought I could squat that deep. ( squat and scroll shirt comes today lol). Now after I’d say about 8 months my legs from the hips to the ankles feel stronger than ever! I’m deep squatting with weight on the bar and deadlifting with no straps, no belt, no knee sleeves ( I used to wear it all lol). I’ve changed my focus and goals from wanting to “look good” to just living a healthy life and making exercise apart of every day/weekly life, staying consistent. And after Sal’s selfie on Instagram the other day, had to put him on my vision board as my dad bod goal. I have a few years to get there but 💪🏽.

Due to shoulder mobility / pain I no longer can do low bar Squats regularly. Instead I do SSB Squats and TrapBar Squats / Deadlifts in the same session alternating rep ranges 3s and 8s each session. This allows me to occasionally do Low Bar Squats. I am 66 BTW. I do RDLs and Good Mornings more often than I conventional Deadlift. I tend to do Incline Barbell or DB Presses instead of overhead pressing. One factor for me is that I have spent decades at the keyboard as an engineer. I do band work for mobility. I do Goblet Squats or Rogue Echo Sprints on Upper day as activation. This all noted I have been following advice here on improving mobility. Thank you so much.

Just wanna say thanks to you guys. I used to be an athlete, but started my career a few years back where I sit behind a desk for 10-12 hours a day (engineering consultant) and now have almost a completely sedentary lifestyle. Truth is I’ve always had pretty decent genetics (Spartan and Sicilian) so I haven’t put on a ton of weight or anything, but definitely lost a lot of muscle mass and gotten a little soft around the midsection. Somehow stumbled on your podcast about a month ago and you guys inspired me to get back to the gym. Doing a 3-day full body routine and already seeing results and feeling stronger. Just happy to be working towards improving my body and my health. So thank you all for giving me the boost I needed and teaching me along the way!

Managed to put 10kg on all 3 of the main powerlifting lifts. Need to keep the momentum going and capitalise on my progress. I deadlift frequently and helped my uncle move some “heavy” speakers. I lifted one on my own and he made sure I knew how “bad that was for my back”. I got pretty upset as I felt completely fine and comfortable with my form and ability to lift the ~maybe~ 60lb speakers. Thank you for this episode as it will help me explain to my uncle why I will continue to lift despite his disapproval.

    Amazing amazing amazing stuff
    1) What benefits people who have a longer femur then tibia?
It literally is impossible for them to go for a nice atg squat.
Doesn't matter how much these people do flexibility and mobility stuff because of the anatomical restriction.
    2) Also what Deadlift option for this body type?
I bet that would help many of your viewers, if you would talk about that (information and the best exercise options for different body types).
    Go MindPumpTv!💪🏻

If you dont want to lose the skill of Squating for example, you can keep the skill of squating by keeping the weight at 132 pounds for 3x10. You dont need to Squat 225 + pounds to keep the skill of squating.

I started working out around 7 months ago. I couldn't even squat properly due to knee pain. I thought that it might be due to my weight, so I started holding on to something while squatting, it helped a lot. I could do a lot of reps without any pain, so I just practiced the form every day by doing some squats. After about a month I could do squats without any problems or pains, so I gradually started to add some weight. I've now maxed out on weights (132lb's) since I work out at home and that's all I got, so I've also started to look into doing pistol squats. I can now properly do 5 reps on my right, but I got problems with my left leg, so I've taken similar approach to the situation and I'm doing them assisted. I've also walked a lot so that most likely has helped me with possible ankle mobility issues and has helped me to bring my weight down.

I was going great up until 48 years old. Now my back/spine moves out of place if I put to much pressure on it. Last time it happened I thought I was going to have to get someone to carry me out of the gym. Lol. After several painful trial and errors, I can no longer squat with too much weight on the bar. I use to love it too :(
