    This is super informative, thank you! I've been looking at ways to move into the IT industry from an international scope within South Korea but I've decided I want to focus more heavily on my Korean language skills first to be business level so I'll be moving there hopefully early next year. It's meant a lot of research is needed and it's nice to get perspective from someone who has already gone through the process. :)

      @@CamilleBlais ayy thanks for the reply, but you know what? Tiktok is banned in India 🙈 I won’t be able to watch the video unfortunately. However, I’m going to connect with you on Instagram if that’s ok?

    Not sure if you've already addressed this, but how did you find an apartment without the school? I'm doubting your new company will pay for an apartment (but cool if they did!), so how did you go about the apartment hunting process in Korea?

    • @CamilleBlais
      @CamilleBlais  ปีที่แล้ว

      To be completely transparent, the first apartment my school already had ready for me. I maintained a good relationship with them when I left, so the VP actually helped me communicate with the realtor and even came to all my showings with me when I was finding my own place for my office job. Another year later when I was moving out to Songdo for my k-beauty job, one of my very close friends (korean) and my kind of boyfriend (korean) helped me organize showings and sign my contract. So I've never really done it 100% on my own.
      ps It is pretty standard that the school either has an apartment for you to move into or will provide key money and rent. I would maybe share the general details of the contract on the teaching in korea subreddit to see what people think of the offer. I don't want you getting less than you deserve!

    Is there a visa sponsorship for real time analyst or customer service representative in South Korea? I'm currently working as a real time analyst in bpo company here in the Philippines. I'm also work as a customer service representative before in bpo company here in the Philippines.

      I am not sure! I would recommend checking out a couple of job sites using relevant keywords. I suggest peoplenjob.com or saramin.co.kr

    I find marketing interesting but not sure how to go about it. Would you suggest getting a degree or any tips how to get experience without having the experience in the industry? I have a bachelor's already but I really want a masters and trying to decide what I want to get a masters in. Loved the video by the way! I don't know why my resume just stresses me out.

      Getting an MBA is definitely one way to get into Marketing & Communications - but it is not the only one. I myself don't have an MBA (although I'd love to have one). The best think I can suggest you do is network and apply to internships. You'd be surprised how many major marketing execs spend time actually meeting with junior professionals or people interested in the industry. I'd also suggest getting your hands a little dirty and market yourself. Start building something on social media, whether it is your personal brand, or a side hustle/small business show off your communications skills!
