Jesus christ. Arms Out was a total masterpiece on this, the layers of sound.

They sounded so tight in these sessions, a real treasure. I'm always impressed especially by how closely Toni could recreate all those vocal inflections from the studio record in these performances!

I still have this session on a C90 somewhere. All of the 91/92 session tracks are cleaner and sharper-edged and have aged better than the original mixes of the official releases.

Dean Garcia and his daughter Rose now record as SPC ECO, for those who don't know. Unsurprisingly strong similarities to the Curve sound with a bit more of an electronic influence.

Horror Head is one of my fave songs. So good! Also, Toni's voice is magical. I'd don't like many female vocalists, but she's one of the exceptions.

Transcendental, anthemic electric and ethereally romantic in the poetic and artistic sense and an exquiste multi-valent threnody of the technological sublime.☆☆☆☆☆

Indie disco shoegaze. Excellent! I got the impression the movement died out about this time, but that was just the turn my student union entertainments manager took, coming over all Ibiza and "Balearic beats" instead. Wanker.

Is the track listing here a little different to the studio copy?

      Hi - thanks for replying...
I just meant the CD that was released, with 8 tracks, from Peel Sessions 1 & 2.
I had a copy of that disc 'back in the day, thought I remembered it closing with Split Into Fractions.
BTW: thanks for the upload, love this ☺

@@surfclimbcycle Yes, the order is different. I upload individual Peel sessions, so they're in the order that they were recorded. Obviously if they include Peel's comments then I'll do it in the order they were broadcast. I don't ever take later official releases into consideration.
