Kadugannawa Ambalama || කඩුගන්නාව අම්බලම

This historic #Ambalama, located about one and a half kilometers from the #Kadugannawa tunnel on the main road from Colombo to Kandy, was built 200 years ago during the British rule. Built in the province of #Sabaragamuwa on the border between Sabaragamuwa and #Central Provinces, it has provided shelter to all those who came from the lower country to the upper country and from the upper country to the lower country in the past. This Ambalama, built according to Kandy's architectural tradition, was very dilapidated, so it has been renovated by the #Ministry of Tourism according to the technical instructions of the #Department of Archeology.
#කොළඹ සිට #නුවර දක්වා වූ ප්‍රධාන මාර්ගයේ #කඩුගන්නාව ගලවිද තැනූ උමඟ සිට කිලෝමීටර් එක හමාරක් පමණ දුරින් පිහිටි මෙම ඓතිහාසික #අම්බලම වසර 200කට පෙර බ්‍රිතාන්‍ය පාලන සමයේ දී ඉදි කර තිබේ. සබරගමුව හ #මධ්‍යම පලාත් සීමාවේ #සබරගමුව පළාතට අයත්ව ඉදිකර ඇති මෙය අතීතයේ පහතරටින් උඩරටටත් උඩ රටින් පහත රටටත් ආව ගිය සැමට සෙවණ සලසා තිබේ. මහනුවර ගෘහනිර්මාණ සම්ප්‍රදායට අනුව ඉදිකර ඇති මෙම අම්බලම බොහෝ සේ අබලන්ව පැවති නිසා #සංචාරක අමාත්‍යාංශය විසින් #පුරාවිද්‍යා දෙපාර්තමේන්තුවේ තාක්ෂණික උපදෙස්වලට අනුව අද වන විට ප්‍රතිසංස්කරණය කර තිබේ.නමුත් මෙය මාර්ගයට ඉතාමත් ආසන්නව ඉදිව තිබීම නිසා නිරතුරුවම රිය අනතුරු හේතුවෙන් හානියට පත්වීම කණගාටුදායක ය.
