Thanks Im gonna turn some guitar sounds into synths.
Question...if you get a sound that you want to use in harmony can you set the pitch to middle C or A 440 to mix your new synth sound with keys and violins etc?

Pitch? And match a reference looks right.

These are some of the best ableton tutorials on TH-cam, thank you so much! Instead of "How to make a Skrillex Style Bassline" and stuff which you see so muchhere, you give us an introduction to the tools themselves to get to know your own ideas and style.
In no other tutorial does my brain spin off into "Oh! I could use [this] for [that] and then [this other thing]" every 30 seconds

Your tutorials are among the highest quality Ableton tutorials on TH-cam. Very much appreciate your deep dives into the stock instruments and effects. Thank you.

Seed to Stage is absolutely the best Ableton TH-cam out there by a mile.
Watching this to get a refresher. Man why do you need anything else but this?
All I can think of is the presets that synths come with, which perhaps gets you there faster. But otherwise, seems like you can literally do anything with Simpler. Sometimes I think I should have saved a lot of money and just got really good at Simpler.

This might be the most useful ableton video i've ever seen. The amount of value that you introduced here is enormous. I was thinking of buying serum, some synth piano VSTs or whatever, without realizing how much power was right under my nose. I'm never underestimating the power of built-in ableton tools from here on out.

This one blew my mind. I'm not that experienced with Ableton Live and only got the Light Version. I've had a few weeks of not trying something new with it, but after a few seconds of your video you already inspired me to follow along. Using your own voice is such a nice way to make sounds. Thanks for showing!

Man, hands down. You are the BEST person I have found on YT to explain Ableton plugins. Slynk is second. But you. You go all in and teach me the things I really need to know. Thank you. Point in case, my mentor told me to use simpler on one sample and come up with as many sounds as possible. Your tutorial, out of all the ones I watched (which was a lot) covered the most ground. Again. Thank you!

Before watching this video, for me, simpler was almost a default function that Ableton chose to use when I wanted to performance a particular type of action. But over the past couple of years, simpler has become my favorite plugging to use with Ableton. It is such a powerful synth! I can’t believe what it can do. I would love to see a video that revisits this instrument. You have such a deep understanding of Ableton and a wonderful way of teach it. Thank you so much for making this video. It has changed so much of how I use Ableton.

@@YoloMonstaaa Ableton Suite has like 5 different synthesizers. And with MAX there is all kinds of 3rd party synths that you can add, most of which are free, and they act almost as if they were a built in ableton instrument. That's why ableton is so versatile.

Hey - Awesome tutorial (as usual). Worth noting that you can do all this with any sample in Simpler by retuning it once it's imported.
    - Import your sample into Simpler
    - Reduce and loop it to create a tone (as in the tutorial)
    - Then tune that tone using the 'transpose' and 'detune' functions under the 'Controls' tab
    - Boom - new sound
