Hey I bought a figure and right out of the package the pin arm joint thing did just what you said. The plastic went out a bit, so I was wondering how do I fix it?
@user-Monke556 soak it in really hot water for a minute to soften it, then pinch it together with your fingers while running it under cold water for 60 seconds. The hit water makes it soft, the cold water hardens it, so you can usually reshape things that way.
The plastic in my figure in @1:17 is deformed from factory and theres a piece of plastic that looks like its blocking the pin from passing through. How do i fix the plastic and get the pin inserted
@AndrewJacobs-tp9zr hard to say for sure without being able to see it, but usually excess plastic can be trimmed away with a hobby knife. You could post a photo on one of the Facebook customizing groups and get a better answer I expect.
I've never worked with Transformers, but it will all depend in the type of plastic they use (whether it will soften under heat) and how the pins are engineered (whether they have something internal keeping then in place, unlike these).
@@davidwhale8146 - Thank you very much, I like your vids man. You have earned a subscriber, decent figure custom channels are hard to come by these days.
If you mean disassembling the torso, you would need to crack it open at the seams. There are a few ways to do this - if you search "cracking Marvel Legends torso" on TH-cam, you should be able to find a couple tutorials.
@@davidwhale8146 I did this a few time but this figure the hole doesn't aline and the peg have the same size on both end so I couldn't put it back in, and than I messed up when heating and it melted 😭
I'm having the same problem with movie stormshadow. Pegs are same in both ends but can't get back in my thumbs and fingers are raw now from trying. I've heard many times no go on it
I use the same process, but instead of water, I use my wives hair dryer. It's quicker and you don't have to worry about having wet plastic slipping out of your hand, and accidentally slicing your hand open
SO HELPFUL! Thank you, this method worked flawlessly for me. Thank you!
Thanks, man. Simple and informative

Thanks for this. Been wanting to fix some of hasbro’s mistakes on a few of my figures but been nervous to damage them. This is super helpful
I use wooden skewers ($5 for pack of 100) to push the pins out. Metal can still damage/blemish a pin head.
I wonder if this method would work on TMNT knockoffs, and putting them back after a repaint?

Nice video question does this work on g.i. Joe classified as well
Yes, it should work on any figure with pin joints.
Does it work with metal pins?
And transformers with metal pins?

Great video man, what figure is this? Looks perfect for a project I want to do :)
This is the Marvel Legends Ulysses Klau from Black Panther

funny enough here I am making a chainsaw man figure and this body looks perfect for the base haha
What about Disassembling a body like ulysses klaw that you have? Do i need a boormachine? 04:44 but the way how do I find such a thing on Amazon?

What about painless joints?
Sorry, no idea - I've never disassembled a painless joint.
There is no such thing as a Painless joint. You'll find that out when you get older lol
@@davidwhale8146
I think it’s “pinless”
What about a pinless knee joint?
Pinless MLs can't be disassembled.
I can't put it back in😐
Make sure you heat up the leg again and that you're putting the narrow end in first.

Cool, thank you
Thank u so much
Yes...i see
Thats a snap ring plier, you'll probably be better off using a punch set
This action figure pin just fucking declines to go through the joint
