I have just found your channel and I am going to have a binge party! Love your relaxed attitude. A finished quilt is better than a perfect one! And I have bought my first ruler and will be practicing, practicing, practicing!
Love this pattern. I just received some coordinating purple and green Thistle fabric from a fabric swap sister in Scotland. (Thistle represents Scotland for those of you who don't know). I will be using this pattern with my special fabrics. Thanks Angela! You are my quilting hero!
I LOVE this show. I was so uptight when I started learning to quilt that I couldn't appreciate Angela's humor and joy in quilting. I started after my moms death and I couldn't relax. A few mo ths into it, she had me laughing and enjoying myself again. Quilting really can be therapy. Who knew?
Thank you Angela. I look forward to your videos and the confidence you give me to free motion my quilts. As many have said I appreciate that you included the “goof”. They are so much a part of being a quilter that we should celebrate them as they turn out to be the best teachers. Though maybe second best to you. 🌸 Rock on and keep the videos coming.
Angela, I guess every quilt you make, you not only think of the person you're making it for, but also your gran dad. What a wonderful gift he gave to you, and I believe he is so proud of you right now. Even though he is not here in body, he's here in spirit. The way you piece your quilts and free motion quilting is incredible. So here's looking at you kid!
I loved your video. Have never quilted before. But it is something I’ve always wanted to try and learn. Appreciate you breaking steps down and seeing mistakes. No doubt I will have plenty. I’ll be watching
I do love this pattern and the Midnight Quilt Show. Thank you for designing and sharing. I pieced your Midnight Quilt Show 2017 Thanksgiving Modern Four Patch for an upcoming local quilt show. FM done binding to go. Your positive instruction and presentation style along with my quilting Aunt's gentle show entry push made me feel an entry was possible. Thank you for inspiring us. Quilters shine and we are capable of creating a quilt start to finish. Show quality is a goal. Finished is loved.
I just found you this week and have binge-watched a bunch of your video tutorials and several episodes of the Midnight Quilt Show! You have really inspired me to get back to quilting and to actually DO the quilting myself! So far this week, the mail lady has brought me several packages that contained your beginning meandering book and all the rulers. And maybe some fabric and thread...but don't tell my husband. Thanks for being human and making mistakes and letting that be OK and just another part of the design element. Looking forward to seeing what comes next!
.Watching a new Midnight Quilt Show episode is the highlight of my week. Thank you so much for your inspirational teaching and encouragement. Thanks to you I can now Free Motion Quilt - something I never thought I could do and I love it!
Me too! I wouldn’t have dared fmq until someone told me about this channel. It is really fun and people absolutely don’t notice the odd line out of place.
Wow! what a beautiful quilt and what a fun pattern. I'm going to make this one. Of course, you make it seem possible....Love your newly redo of your studio. Thanks for the free pattern. I've downloaded it and can't wait to start my blocks. I think I have just the fabric to make this with. Your quilting...FABULOUS!!!
Gotta say I think this is my favorite pattern so far! And I love how you show your mistakes, though of course we all know you do them deliberately to make the rest of us feel better. :D :D Thanks for encouraging everyone to relax and enjoy the journey.
Glad to see you are back. Love the (free) pattern and your color choices. Now that the kids are back to school I can QUILT all day!! Lol😁 I truly enjoy your show. Have a great day.
Love it when anyone finds a newer or quicker or easier way to do something related to sewing that gets you to quilting and completion faster without sacrifycing fun and quality. Thanks Angela
For a newbie like me this pattern is something I won’t be scarred to try also love the simplicity of the colors make it modern and vibrant. I also would love to hear about your design board and how it was put together, way easier then laying all the pieces on the floor. My 🐈 always thinks it’s her next new bed!
Thanks for leaving in your mistakes! It gives me confidence because you're so amazing and even you make mistakes! Gives me permission not to get so frustrated with myself!
After I saw this, i printed out the pattern. I can't do the stars, but I am doing a Courthouse Steps block quilt top. I have about half of it done. it is coming out awesome. Thank you for the free pattern. Love it.
This is one of my favorites out of all the seasons. These are my kind of colors and the quilting looks fabulous. The center star looks like a queen surrounded by little princesses wearing tiaras :) I will make this for my sister since she loves blue. Thank you for the great video Angela!
I really love you show. I have never done what you are doing, top quilting. I have always tied my quilts. Thanks for all your help in learning something I should learn on my own.
Thank you!!! I love your rulers, I purchased both sets. Flying geese are one of my favorite quilt block elements other than half square triangles. Thank you for continuing to demonstrate ways to use your rulers. It gives great inspiration. BJ
Wow, I love the design when you put the two different blocks together. Using only three colors enhances the design as well. The quilting you did was masterful. I also love that you even showed the good at the beginning. Thanks for making us all feel normal when we too do stuff exactly like that!! I can't wait to try this pattern out!
I'm making this right now! I'm doing a Red background, with white and black as my other fabrics. Thank you for sharing this pattern. I love your videos.
Great start to a new season, Angela!! I have seen this method for doing flying geese, but I never tried it because I could never visualize how it came together, and I am a visual learner. I still think I would attempt the slight more traditional method and just chain piece them one side at a time. Thank you for allowing us to see not only the great piecing, but the struggle that we all have at one time or another.
I just cut all the pieces for this quilt and I can't wait to put it together! Thank you for creating such a beautiful, free pattern and for making it so easy to follow!
Love it Angela! I just have to share my first quilt, I couldn't have finished without hearing you tell me "a finished quilt is better than a perfect quilt"
Love this pattern. Really like the way chevy lines turned out - reminds me of Baptist fan pattern, but updated with great additions from the other rulers so it isn't boring! You are always so upbeat and funny, love your videos. Will just have to order the rulers next month! Have never seen the 4-at-a-time geese before, so cool. Thanks for coming back with such a great quilt.
Thanks for this beautiful free pattern! I LOVE it. And I'm so happy you included your mistake in the video, so that when it happens to me (and OH it will) I don't feel like its a fail. New season = happiness!!
Thank you for the free pattern. I finished quilt top with the courthouse steps block and it came out big and awesome. Can't quite do the half square triangles to well yet. Thanks again.
When I saw the finished quilt my jaw dropped at how AMAZING the quilting looks! Thank you for not editing the "oops" parts. I think everyone can relate to a mistake or two but when you do it I can say, well Angela just redeems herself so can I! LOL! Love the quilt pattern also! Glad you are back.
I feel so much better as a quilter, seeing that I'm not the only one who has to pull stitches... Beautiful pattern and quilting. Would love to see some quilt tops done on the long arm!
So glad you are back!! I love this quilt! So pretty! I have never made flying geese like that.....cool technique! Thanks so much for making this a free pattern! ❤️
This is awesome. Definitely something I have to do. Love your patterns, all your videos and your rulers. Slim and I are becoming great friends....he’s my first but I can see that I need to buy more of your rulers. Thanks for sharing how to use them!
I truly appreciate any quilt tutor who admits, shows, and shows repairs for their mistakes. So, thank you!!
I love that you let us see when you get things wrong. Thanks for being you!
I have just found your channel and I am going to have a binge party! Love your relaxed attitude. A finished quilt is better than a perfect one! And I have bought my first ruler and will be practicing, practicing, practicing!
I was yelling, "no no no, press it open first" at the video.
My daughters and I are enjoying watching this together. Thank you.
Beautiful quilt! Awesome quilting! Greetings from Maryland!
Love this pattern. I just received some coordinating purple and green Thistle fabric from a fabric swap sister in Scotland. (Thistle represents Scotland for those of you who don't know). I will be using this pattern with my special fabrics. Thanks Angela! You are my quilting hero!

I'm glad you made that mistake because I would have done the exact same thing! You just showed me what not to do. How awesome are you, Angela!?!?!
Well done Angela, beautiful as always
VERY CUTE! I'm learning about the beauty of simplicity!
Love it! Love the use of the rulers too! I got to get me some of those! Thanks Angela, good to see you again!
Love this quilt, Angela. The combination of the 2 blocks, and the contrast of the blue and gold with the white background is perfect!

Gotta say I think this is my favorite pattern so far! And I love how you show your mistakes, though of course we all know you do them deliberately to make the rest of us feel better. :D :D Thanks for encouraging everyone to relax and enjoy the journey.
Great pattern! Flying geese can be daunting no matter how you piece them. I do love that technique. Cheers!!
YEP,,, the best part of YOU is how you "validate" the rest of us! Too many people strive to be perfect when quilting... where is the fun in THAT:)) GB
Glad to see you are back. Love the (free) pattern and your color choices. Now that the kids are back to school I can QUILT all day!! Lol😁 I truly enjoy your show. Have a great day.
