      Amazon! search "wine sippy cups". I suggest getting the big box of 6 and sharing with friends, a much better price than one. I took a box to a retreat and sold for $5 each- gone in 5 minutes!!

    So glad to see this video today! I got this quilt kit a month ago and suspected it would be featured in a Midnight Quilt Show episode. That's a lot of cutting and squares. I didn't realize it when I got the kit. However, it's so beautiful it's worth it!

    Love love your quilts. Makes me jealous every time I see you machine quilt your quilts. I’ve had the opportunity twice now to use a long arm to finish them but this makes me want a home sewing machine big enough to do one! Thank you for sharing and I’ll be watching this one again. Happy quilting 🍹

    It's a beautiful quilt. Whew a lot of cutting and piecing!

  • @manateeka
    @manateeka 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    I just started my first piecing project. It's a 64-patch block sunflower. Some of the blocks are wonky but miraculously the first two rows ended up the same length. I did that last night and I will probably use this webbing technique for the bottom six rows. This is not what I envisioned myself doing as a first project but it's a wedding gift and nothing else will do. It is NOT a quilt - I'd never have time - probably will be a table runner. I can even turn the wonky blocks into a metaphor for a marriage.

    Love this quilt pattern and your ease of quilting. I am afraid to quilt my tops, because I really am not sure how to do this and don't want to mess up my quilt. I have quilted about three quilts myself (i.e. 2 on a rented longarm and one on my standard sewing machine. And of course, alot of quilt as you go table runners). Thank you for your tutorials, your confidence, and the fun videos!

    Cool colors. I also love the placement of the blocks. I would have tried to blend my color blocks together, and it would have been hours to place the blocks in order that I like. I need to be looser in my color grouping how do you decided were the blocks go? xoxo

    I love your way you do quilts that are not easy... But I also love that you make mistakes and you point them out joyfully ... I do understand you may have to show a "following the instructions" quilt but I really believe you should not have fixed the error you had in this quilt top before the basting.....they made it special and we would have all loved it the same because you made it

    • @AngelaWaltersfmq
      @AngelaWaltersfmq 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Awww! By time I noticed it, it was too late. 99% of the time, the mistakes stay in the episode because it is what it is!

    I'm a super new newbie. What is a quilt sandwich? What does it consist of.? And what foot is that you're using?.
    Thx

    • @chandracox6814
      @chandracox6814 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      A quilt sandwich refers to laying the quilt top, batting, and backing all together and then stitching it up to create your quilt. So when I'm creating my quilt sandwich, I lay down my backing face down, batting on top of that, and then quilt top face up. Then pin it all together and quilt it then bind it to create your quilt. She is likely using a quilting foot in this video for piecing. For free motion, she's using a free motion quilting foot.

    With so many half square triangles, why on earth didn't you use the easy eight method?!

    • @PacakeQueen
      @PacakeQueen 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Now I have to google the easy 8 method :)

    • @EM-fh2tx
      @EM-fh2tx 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Also easier to trim HSTs to size as a triangle before you press open.

    • @classynsassy330
      @classynsassy330 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I agree, easy 8 is so much more efficient in the use of time and fabric. I don’t understand why so many pattern makers use old methods vs new streamlined methods.

    • @eepsers1
      @eepsers1 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Maybe because you end up with bias on the wrong edges of the blocks.

    • @AngelaWaltersfmq
      @AngelaWaltersfmq 6 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      I always show it how the pattern is written. The pattern designer chose that method, so that's how I demonstrated it. However, when I write my own patterns, I always use the 4 or 8 at a time method!!
