With the help & info from this video, I just changed my own Pacifica AUX battery! I used your link too. I have the "battery protect mode" but as far as I can tell thats normal while it gets used to the new battery, I don't have any actual errors or warning lights anymore. Thanks so much!! HOWEVER: for my 2018 Pacifica, with the old battery being Mopar, the M6-20 was too long!! I had to go back to get an M6-16.... but they were out, so I went with M6-12 and with the thin eyelet it was still plenty of thread into the battery terminal. ALSO - both terminals needed the M6-12, so I had to get (2)! The battery was a really jerk trying to get out too - there isn't an orientation where it just comes straight out, everything is so tightly spaced. .
Thank you so much for this video. Purchased battery via your affiliate link. Had MOPAR and removed the 2 original bolts protruding from terminal. Re used bolts for new AC Delco. I did leave both battery unplugged for about 30 min, and Stop/start warning light turned off. 2017 Pacifica.
Thanks for this video! I purchased the battery and bolts that you recommended and was able to install it myself. Fingers crossed that this solves our issues. The bolts were just a tad bit too long, had to put a couple washers in there as well to ensure a tight terminal connection.
I just bought a 2022 Pacifica and had it less than two months before the start/stop light came on on the dash. Had to get a new battery. It's ridiculous how the batteries don't last long at all. Good thing we had warranty.
Went to go get a new aux battery and was told that both aux and main battery was good, kept getting the circled semble with the exclamation on the dash. What else could be cause?
Mines same issue, I've dealt with the aux battery for couple years now. But this time my battery hasn't died out 🤷♂️ I think the actual system is js disabled. So I mean to me if my battery isn't dying then I'm ok. Cuz I don't even use the SS system I always turn it off when I drive
I bought a 2020 Pacifica used in the fall of 2022. Batteries needed replacing 1 month later. In March 2024 I had to replace them again. Both times the batteries were Mopar and were under warranty . It would have been close to $700.00 otherwise. 😮
Thanks for sharing, I have replace our AUX14 battery once already in 2019, and it has failed again. How does the 36 month warranty work on the AC Delco battery if it was purchases on Amazon?
I have had good luck in the past calling Amazon at their 800 number. That number is 1-888-280-4331. I have heard others have had success using the chat feature as well to contact Amazon about a warranty claim. Per Amazon's website: "If you've purchased a defective automotive item, shipped from and sold by Amazon.com, that is covered by a published manufacturer warranty, Amazon honors the warranty. Amazon will either replace the item or refund the cost of the item for the life of the published warranty."
When your wife’s car did this did the service shifter light pop on too? Our service shifter light and the Auto Start/Stop popped on at the same time. The service shifter went off the next time we parked the van, but Start/Stop warning remained on.
Wash under the car stop start not working in my 2020 Chrysler Pacifica l had to change the batterys and wait for the car to reboot its self hope this helps all the people however has to change the batterys l William
I didn’t have to buy bolts. The old battery had two bolts, the new one needed two bolts. A 4mm hex head did the trick. After I replaced it, I didn’t choose to wait. Light is reset but now the van says “recharging” the battery. I don’t know why that would need to happen but if it’s not fixed in a day or so, I may have to undo everything and return the battery.
You can run with a dead one, but the aux battery has to be connected. HOWEVER, it's been my experience that if you run with a dead one, it will kill your main battery within 2 years. I hate the start stop function and always disable it when it is functioning, but now I replace the aux battery with a cheap one off Amazon every 6-8 months. The dealer wants ~$280 for the OEM replacement and it won't last more than 18 months in my experience. IMO, this system is annoying and poorly designed. My 2018 has had 4 main batteries and I think I'm on my 6th AUX, 2 of which were OEM.
As the other poster mentioned, a dead AUX battery will be a parasitic draw on the main battery and cause it to fail prematurely. I'm on my 3rd main battery in 3 years because I was just running on a dead AUX battery because I absolutely loathe the start/stop. I don't want to pay for a starter and I KNOW they lie saying it's a more heavy duty starter to deal with the additional starts.
I have a 2019 that just started turning off in mid drive the passenger window goes down by itself could this be the issue? But our auto start button was disabled when we purchased the vehicle
Could this cause the steering to be stiff? We got a used Pacifica today, this dash light is on but the steering is not easy. Hoping both may be the same issue
So this happened and the shop replaced the battery BUUTT, after stopping at the light and the stop/start restarted the engine, car turned off and on on it's own and the light is back on again smh. Ever hear of that happening?
I bought a certified pre-owned 2022 Chrysler Pacifica Voyager from the dealership. The problem occurred just 40 minutes after I picked up the car, leaving me stranded at a traffic light. The salesperson told me it would get better after driving for a few days, but the same issue happened multiple times. The dealership replaced the battery, but only two months later, the same problem reoccurred. Today, it left me stranded at a traffic light again, twice in a row. It’s really frustrating.
Yap same problem, so what caused the problem? One of the pins on the computer control module wasn't make a proper connection, cleaned it, fixed....if that's not it check your park / neutral safety sensor. If it is not working the car will not start. The sensor is designed to prevent vehicles from starting in gear.
I just disconnected the two batteries. leave about 44 minutes. Then connect them again. Then I drove for about 1 hour to different places with 3 stops in between. and the problem was solved. I have been working normally for 5 days now
Thanks for taking the time for the video, I'm close to needing a replacement and this made it look much easier than expected.

Crystal white and the scammer
Thanks for this video Sir. Our 2018 Pacifica's just turn the same light on the dashboard and the wife was panicking. Big help Sir. God bless.

Good thing we had warranty.
Excellent and clear explanation.
Super helpful. Thanks so much. Totally worked and saved me $$$.
Glad it helped!

Did you ever figure this out? I read something about IBS intelligent battery system needing to be replaced.

It’s definitely a win when it’s under warranty!
Mine happened just 40 minutes after pickup. The dealership replaced the battery, but the problem returned just two months later.
Would that bad ess system affect the air conditioning system?
I notice the signal with a circle went away but it actually wasn’t turning on or off and then 3 days later the signal came back on

Okay, I am unashamed to say, "auxiliary battery?" Who knew. Thanks for the heads up!

We are currently experiencing this exact issue. Did you change the battery and solve it.
@@jayv81also having this exact issue!
@@madison216 changing the small auxiliary battery fixed it for me
@@jayv81 Thank you!

Replaced mine several months ago and still hasn’t fixed it. Have to disable the start stop every time we start up

Do u need it ? Or run it without

Will it hurt if i dont fix it ? I mean, i dont need start stop anyways
It’ll drain your main battery. That’s what happened to my 2020 last year
As the other poster mentioned, a dead AUX battery will be a parasitic draw on the main battery and cause it to fail prematurely. I haven’t had the issue you’re experiencing, but I don’t think it would be related.
Your actual battery is going bad, not the auxiliary mine would do the same thing.
Could this cause the steering to be stiff? We got a used Pacifica today, this dash light is on but the steering is not easy. Hoping both may be the same issue
I don’t think this issue would correlate with a stiff steering wheel.
Super helpful thanks! This happed right after I bought mine, dealer fixed it for free but if it happens again I know what to do 👍
Thank You, Great information, and a informative video.
Well done video! Liked and Subbed!
Thank you for this!
Where is the battery link?
It’s in there desperation of this video.
Got a voyager with this same issue

Both batteries are in good condition. and still the problem continues. now it says: it won't start because the battery is charging
Did you find the problem

¿Desconectaste las 2 baterías entonces?. Y gracias!.
2 years I wish, we replace these stupid things each and every year. Hate Chrysler vehicles
Arizona is hard on batteries. Mine last 3 years.
