kp was shooting over small defenders because of successful switches by the celts. most of the defence against kp was borderline undercutting him and intruding on his space which should have been called
The mavs have no defense against Porzingus. They can double anyone because if you leave Brown or Tatum alone it wrap. The mavs can’t win the same way against the Celtic like they did against the Timberwolves. The Celtic are a much more talented, quicker and aggressive team that plays very physically on both sides of the ball. Also the Celtic have a much better bench than the mavs. Luka and Kyrie have to play incredible defense if they have any chance of winning a game because your have to cover every Celtic player at all times, unlike against Minnesota who has dummy KAT trying to shoot threes instead of dominating at the basket 😂😂😂

My take... If your players aren't as athletic and you can't stop the ball, you're in trouble. Luka can't lock up any of Boston's wings... And the fact that they can all hit 3's. It's a problem!
And yet somehow Boston was able to? It's almost as if the Boston Celtics have five starters that on any given night any one of them can give you 30 on another team and they all play high end smart defense. I dunno. It's not like the team won 60 plus games. What a mystery this is....

they have to stop the three ball the Celtics only made four more total shots than the Mavericks but made 16/42 on three's while the Mavs made 7/27 that a 27 point difference every other stat except blocks was even if the mavs hit as many threes as them or limit them to as many threes as the mabs hit then the Mavs win this game regardless of how bad they played they have to stop the three ball
15:34 Tim is usually very smart and he perfectly analyzed this series then is like but we’ll see There’s no seeing. That IS the series. Dallas can’t guard them one-on-one, can’t help without giving up threes to good shooters, and can’t switch because Boston has too many matchups to attack. That’s all the options. They made 16 threes at 38%. That’s _normal_ for them. That’s not even a good shooting game by their standards And Boston IS that good on defense - and Dallas plays enough weak shooters - they can take away corner threes and lobs at the same time. I said before the series that Dallas needs Luka and Kyrie to score 75+ to win games
The problem for the Mavs is Luka and Kyrie can get 30 a piece and they will still lose because all of the Celtics starting 5 can score in double digits.
Minnesota in 4 ! Luka does not like to lose but the other guys have to step up. I am all the way Luka and I believe that Luka will try to solve it alone but how far can he go alone against Celtics. As far as Porzingis - every dog has its day. Game 2. I am putting money on Mavs.
I mean if you look at the game, dallas was neck and neck with celtics in every quarter except the first, then just couldnt catch up. Also both stars didnt play well and dallas with jkidd has been amazing with adjusments, this series isnt over before it is over. Dallas have lost every game 1 these playoffs except for last series.
Probably because they shot horrific, turn the ball over too much, got beat on the rebounds, and still would’ve been close if KP hadn’t decided to do his best Steph Curry impersonation.
Boston never really blew Indiana out but it was a sweep in the end. Dallas was blown out 2 times first game and they still won the series. Everything is possible. Got it?
Good Lord 😂 Boston fans are celebrating like they've already won the chip lol. Dallas is 1-6 in game ones under JKidd. So we are talking about Gafford & Lively playing elite defensive basketball. Are these elite players? Really. And Kyrie going off getting 30 or 40 and Luca too. How does Dallas do that without Boston falling asleep? Boston is not going to let that happen unless they totally lay an egg.
You need constant inside pressure to keep that Boston defense honest. i.e Giannis or Jokic would be a solid matchup to beat them. Maybe a healthy embiid if he doesn’t turn the ball over from the C’s crowding. Luka is going to have to start working out of the post more instead of facing the strong guard defense. Luka also gotta show more resistance on drives he was the entry point for a lot of drive and kick or finishes
Only Jokic there is effective. Boston OWNS both Giannis and Embiid like LeBron owned Toronto. Jokic plays real basketball, meaning pace and space control without doing dumb reckless things or overrelying on athleticism or dumb officiating. Giannis couldn't outshoot a lot of us in the comments section if his life legitimately depended on it. And if he wasn't a league-officiated darling with all the bs he gets away with/ was just 6'5 rather than 7ft he'd be pretty irrelevant as a driving force. Embiid still doesn't know how to control a game and always gets himself hurt doing dumb things. Also is comically unclutch and mentally pathetic vs Boston, like a legitimate performance anxiety type of disorder. I think most fanbases around the league are terrified of Embiid, but Boston fans don't even consider him a threat to ever do anything of consequence. We are much more afraid of a guy like Halliburton who can control a game, has basketball genius, is resilient and enjoys competition and tough moments.
@@ou8428 You sound dumb. The name of the game is maximizing whatever given ability you have to dominate your opponent. If Jokic was 6’5 instead of being a giant. He’d be unplayable. You can’t just remove player’s attributes that makes who they are to make your argument. (Jokic can make shots but he’s far from being a snipper). GA cooked Boston without his second best player and took them to 7 while avg 30+. Tatum and Grant had to have the performances of their lives to get by. Jokic is very good, but don’t act like bro got no flaws, every player do. Your boy is turnstile at the rim. There is more but I’m not there to try to diminish these guys abilities. @@ou8428 can’t just remove people abilities to justify a bias opinion. Jokic tends to be a liability at the rim and would be unplayable if he was 6’5 instead of a 7 foot giant with incredible strength. GA is a wrecking ball on both size of the court and also knows how to play with finess at the rim. The name of the game is using your given abilities to impact winning which he has done at an elite level. Boston owns Philly but last time they played the Bucks. It went 7. Middleton ( 2nd best player) didn’t play a single game. Tatum and Grant Williams had the game of their lives.
Not sure why so many dallas fans are in love with Kleber, he stinks. He's hit some important shots in his time there, but he's not the level of player who can have a decent amount of minutes on a championship team.

Not sure how or why people expect better defense from Dallas. Luka is a minus, minus defender.
Exactly. If anything it’s gonna get worse and worse during the series. Why do you think that Donavan Mitchell was not able to continue or Haliburton - because the Celtics wore them down?
Because that's how it's always gone lol. Dallas will get better and better this series. It's happened every series this post season.
@@williamkent2446Against much worse teams than Boston! Your mistake is that you're comping apples to oranges.
@@augustmoon0004 Those teams that Boston has a losing record to this season? Lol
@@williamkent2446 oh so now regular season records matter…let’s bring the Mavericks regular season record against the Celtics into the argument, hell let’s bring the Mavs record against the Pacers into this discussion you know the team that smoked em twice and was just swept. Pretty sound logic you have here my guy
The Finals G1 felt like Clippers and OKC G1. Kyrie coming swinging in G1 of the Wolves ended up being an anomaly.
But unlike a kawhi less clippers and young okc Bos has the capability to take it to dal repeatedly
Sure. But the Celtics aren't, the Clippers, OKC or Minnesota......
😂😂😂😂😂 right
Dallas in 9
The first game against Minessota was the only game that The Mavs came prepared to compete. I dont know what the coaches are doing. Boston is not a Team that gives you plenty of chances. Hope we can bounce back.
Second best defense in the league all year - damn right you didn't give them enough credit. No one ever gives Boston any credit. Funny how it's always the opponents who play bad against them - such a mystery!
They were the favorite the entire season wtf you talking about lol
@brandonfrench1472 he's clearly responding to them saying they might not have been giving Boston enough credit on defense.
Favorite in vegas but all the talking heads have really done nothing but question them despite their dominance all regular season and all post season . They act like theu didnt earn their spot because they had an easy path but this core has been together for a long time now and has had their battles over the years. Now people get to think of more excuses as to why (if) they end up beating dallas in this series .@brandonfrench1472
@@BeneGIB09talk to em!
Just look at all the media figures who picked the Mavs!
Yeah Vegas has the Celtics as favorites but it feels like damn near everyone else has the Mavs winning it.
I want Dallas to win the series, but if Boston does win, it’s going to be because of Brown. Hopefully he will get finals MVP, and they won’t shoehorn Tatum just because everyone wants him to be the best player.
they have to stop the three ball the Celtics only made four more total shots than the Mavericks but made 16/42 on three's while the Mavs made 7/27 that a 27 point difference every other stat except blocks was even if the mavs hit as many threes as them or limit them to as many threes as the mabs hit then the Mavs win this game regardless of how bad they played they have to stop the three ball
Legler picked Dallas in 7 - bless him
Gotta feeling if Dallas blew out Boston, he wouldn't have cared if it was close.
If legs is talking ball I’ll be listening
15:34 Tim is usually very smart and he perfectly analyzed this series then is like but we’ll see
There’s no seeing. That IS the series.
Dallas can’t guard them one-on-one, can’t help without giving up threes to good shooters, and can’t switch because Boston has too many matchups to attack. That’s all the options.
They made 16 threes at 38%. That’s _normal_ for them. That’s not even a good shooting game by their standards
And Boston IS that good on defense - and Dallas plays enough weak shooters - they can take away corner threes and lobs at the same time.
I said before the series that Dallas needs Luka and Kyrie to score 75+ to win games
Are all the analysts on Vegas Payroll? 90 % money on Mavs. Seem odd most of the media has been pushing them on everyone.
Still G1 , looks forward Mavs 's G2 adjustment
Yeah, we've been here before
The problem for the Mavs is Luka and Kyrie can get 30 a piece and they will still lose because all of the Celtics starting 5 can score in double digits.
Legs I gotta disagree Hardy’s good enough to do that. Boston’s defense is better
Hope you can win the money 🍺
We’ll see
I doubt you have any real substantial money on it you’re just talking

Boston beat Dallas by 28 and by 19 during the regular season. Dallas hasn’t beaten Boston in 2 years. I don’t know what people are looking at.
People forget the Celtics have the most championships of all time and NEVER had the best player. This team is no different
NOBODY is beating the Celtics 4 times this year. ☘️🥷
Luka needs to score 70 which is super realistic 😂. They will make Luka play defense so he’s not scoring 40.
Everyone picked Dallas before the series. Huge upset of they lose it. All time choke job if Dallas can’t get it done.
Then why do you think that the Mav's will still win the series?
I mean if you look at the game, dallas was neck and neck with celtics in every quarter except the first, then just couldnt catch up. Also both stars didnt play well and dallas with jkidd has been amazing with adjusments, this series isnt over before it is over. Dallas have lost every game 1 these playoffs except for last series.
Mavs in 7.
Its just 1 game.
Dallas always starts slow.
And Boston is great team,no disrespect
Because you need to win 4 games to win the series, there is so much more basketball that yet to be played.
Got it?
9 blocks by the Celtics would seem to indicate Mavs shot selection is suspect...
The Pacers had the same problem...
🤦
They’re open but not by Luka they’ll dribble once pull up it wasn’t many one pass score from Dallas
First quarter they took several bone headed shots.
They don't think Porzingis can repeat what he just did? He averaged 20 points a game this year and had 20 points. Do these guys even watch basketball?
Bro he had 20 points in 21 minutes Vs 20 in 43
@@boblully5053KP had 29.6 minutes per game for 57 games this year. About 8 minutes shy of season average for game 1.

Good Lord 😂 Boston fans are celebrating like they've already won the chip lol. Dallas is 1-6 in game ones under JKidd. They've lost 3 of 4 game ones including this one this post season. 2 of those losses by double digits and still won 2 of the 3 series in 6. However they are 3-0 in game 2s so you guys might ought to slow your roll lol. I know you were all shittin your britches when they cut it to 8 in the 3rd. @@cvgodd1432. ...do you guys understand how to interpret what you read??? First off whos "yall"?? I didn't lose shit and I don't play for any team. Second, My whole point is it's ONE LOSS in another game one that wasn't even the Mavs worst game or game one loss!!! They were a -18 from 3 and lost by 18 pts all other stats were virtually identical look it up! You guys keep arguing IF this and IF that which is just subjective opinion and ultimately irrelevant to the conversation. This was ONE damn game so stop acting like the Celtics have proven anything other than they were the better team and more prepared team in game ONE of a best of 7! That was my point but of course you people who are overly obsessive with "YOUR" team, which is laughable simply because YOU aren't a part of it nor have anything to do with the success or failure of the team, get so bent out of shape if someone dares question your perceived superiority of "YOUR" team. @@mirupacha and exactly why wouldn't I lol? EVERYTHING I said was absolutely true and based on facts. LOVED his father, but yes Hardaway Junior has to GO!
So we are talking about Gafford & Lively playing elite defensive basketball. Are these elite players? Really. And Kyrie going off getting 30 or 40 and Luca too. How does Dallas do that without Boston falling asleep? Boston is not going to let that happen unless they totally lay an egg.
Even Legs picked the Mavs 🤦🏾♂️
I don’t got much for the Embiid argument. Bro tends to forget how to make good decisions once he get tired. And he is also very unlucky like how tf do you get hurt so much.

I ve been betting boston to the win the chip for like 2 months now
Momentum was on Dallas side and Boston had a bad habit of playing with their food WAY too much and playing down to the competition they were faced with. The difference this time is that, like I said in my superchat, the Celtics remembered to turn the heat back up when Dallas began to rally back. As long as Boston keeps doing that, Dallas' momentum is dead.
