Additionally, the designer of Transformers Legacy Menasor’s Motor Master took pride to make him the same height as Earthrise Optimus Prime. Those 2 characters fought in a G1 episode in alt mode. People valuing feelings over logic and reason hold no importance for history. Therefore they are doomed to repeat the same mistakes.

For sure getting this first run of Constructicons. They’ll probably release a 6 pack and depending on how good the individual robots and combiner is, I might be double dipping.
I think Evan mentioned there will be no 6 pack for a year or two. It was quite a long time before Menasor was released as a 5 pack, and it was the Toy Deco.
May be paying a bit more to import but Scrapper, and Bonecrusher look totally worth it to be able to finally form a G1 Definitive Devastator. Nothing to really complain about here as Scrapper forms an entire leg, and the heavy connection point looks to be where the knee is. Can not wait to have all 6 of these in hand.
If that's not better than the 3rd party Mecca Invasion that's the same price point then it shouldn't even be talked about wouldn't you agree? Regardless if it has the name Transformers or not.
I love your bluntness Super Robot Ed. Preach! People need to realize that when a business entity releases something to the public market it is to make money, to sell those items for profit. The oversized Devastator was probably done that way to test the waters for a titan class. Then Hasbro doubled down on the mistake by making a titan class Omega Supreme. Correct me if I’m wrong, but the G1 Orion Pax origin story involving the Aerialbots/Superion had Superion fighting a guardian robot the same height as Superion. The guardian robots were what Omega Supreme was, presumably as an officer. Therefore, by size comparison Omega Supreme, Devastator and all the rest of the combiner team’s combined forms were of a similar height. Optimus Prime stood about mid thigh to the combiner robots. Furthermore, as you mentioned each limb combiner team member was smaller than Optimus Prime, like a deluxe class figure today. The larger combiner team leaders of the Scramble City type, such as Superion, Defensor, Bruticus, and Menasor, were similar or just shorter than Optimus Prime. That’s the correct scale size for G1 figures. Those are the facts! By simple logic this case is closed!
On Omega Supreme and the combiner scale I agree. I almost picked up the 24" titan Omega Supreme then realized he was way too big. I have hope that this new $150 titan size might work well for a G1 toon accurate Omega Supreme at about 15 inches that seems about right to me.
Looks kind of cheap, which was my main problem with the Combiner Wars Constructicons. It’s like they can’t get it right! Is this the same designer, I wonder?
Just a thought, once all 6 are released Hasbro should not do a PR 6 pack, but release G2 Devastator in a good construction yellow color. I think it would make more revenue in yellow than selling it again in green.

I forget the name of the episode where Devastator saves the Earth by destroying Megatron's drill from reaching the Earth's core. Chip wanted Devastator to be on the Autobot side. G2 Devastator in Yellow could be that dream arc for Chip. You include him in the set with his wheelchair and Wheeljack.
Yeah, WFC Omega Supreme is about 9" Too big at 24" tall. As cool as he is, if you watch that secret of omega supreme episode, he is not a huge amount bigger than devastator. about 15" vs the current line where Dev is about 12.5".

Then there are scale issues inside combiner teams, most notably Bruticus. A space shuttle, Blastoff’s alt mode, will dwarf an armored mobile gunnery truck, Onslaught’s alt mode. Therefore the combiner’s limb bots’ robot modes must be sized relative to the combiner’s limbs. The motorcycle Protectobot, Groove, who becomes Defensor’s leg, doesn’t upscale from alt mode but merely matches the size of his robot mode. Regarding beast forms and spacefaring vehicles, those forms are a special cases. Space fighters could be any size. Most likely the beast forms, especially those of combiner teams like Predaking and Abominus would be the size rendered by their robot sizes, as disguise isn’t the issue-terror is. Sky Lynx’s beast mode conceivably is a resultant size of the space shuttle alt form. There may, of course, be other examples too.

Some may not want the configuration Mecha Invasion has. Also this is more MP scale than mainline. So it's not a replacement, more of an option.

Having second thoughts about this… but I really want to save my money for AOTP Bruticus.
I think for what they are, they are fine. But for my collection, they just don't fit in to scale for my display. Just too small vs WFC Omega Supreme.
