What a clever way to release a mold! I would have never have thought of using the boards and strap to gradually add pressure till it pops! Thanks for the tip!! :D Btw, do you have a video on how you made the life cast with the hollow backing and pole?

I have a question for you. How did you get the handle on the back your life cast? and do you have any tips for life casting. I have done a life cast before but it didn't really turn out the way i wanted it to so i am planning on doing it again. Thank you so much!
I cut down a shower rod with a hack saw and inserted into the ultracal. I also wrapped multiple layers of burlap and ultracal around the rod to secure it in place. As for tips I like to have at least two people to do a life cast as alginate sets very quickly. I use colder water to slow down the setting process and always start at the top of the head and work downwards. It's also very important not to press down on the lip as it will distort the cast. Hope that helps!
They last a while if you're careful with them and treat them well!! You can remelt and remold them, so you could even make it into something new if you wanted to
I have a wife that is a quadriplegic and I am going to try to make a mold of her butt so I can give her some cushion on her tail bone and two butt bones. I have tried every mattress and she can not get relief. Will this product stand up to body heat and daily use.
Ashlee Bratcher Hello, I’m not a pro, but I will weigh in as I think it is important for your wife to be comfortable :) I believe it will degrade over time. There are ways to preserve molds to make them last longer, but I think you would be better off using a different material.

theres an easier way of doing this: 1.take glycerin and then pour the gelatin then add water and your done like if found helpful and if you want to heat it up to liquify then heat it up for 8 seconds until its liquid
I wanna reuse gelatine I have made already . my microwave just cooked out 😠. how can I reheat heat to use it on stove top ? can I use boiling water and place the gelatine in a cup inside to melt it dwn?

You can also mack mold releast by mixing babby powder in lil alchol and Bush it in to your mold !
