You. Have. No. Idea! How much headache this video has relieved me of! Thank you so much for posting this. I used to have such a complicated setup with my DSLR, Padcaster, cutting in Descript, and Editing myself in each slide with Premiere and always having a hard time of finding a good place in my slide to show my face. Now I record a video for the intros and outros, and the rest is audio only, which sounds better - and I also add the audio recording to a members-only podcast so they can listen to the course.
Thank-you for that Gillian. I hadn't heard about Descript before. I use Camtasia and love it. Always nice to learn about different options. A tip for updating your older course: you can always create your new slides for the new content and then edit those into your older videos as well just like Gillian shows you in this video. So don't worry if you have old ones you need to update, you can just cut out the parts you don't need and pop in your new slide presentation over top of your older course. If you used slide to create the original, then use those slide templates to keep the same feel. If you did a talking head video then you now have the opportunity to create a slide presentation template to use on all of your updates that you simply lay on top of the old parts that you want to update. Hi Gillian, could you do a video how to create course / you tube channel when you have insufficient knowledge about whatever you want to create those courses / channel about? You could share how you tackled that when you started your second youtube channel... I feel like my knowledge is insufficient and I would have to go and get employed in those industries or roles first to learn, as there is only so much that you can learn from books - the course would just not provide much insight... But I cant do that - I am not young enough to now spend 10 years learning.

What does it mean to "study the algorithm"? Can you elaborate what goes into that as it must be more than basic stuff considering you had been doing it for 18 months before you started your channel? How can you figure what the algorithm is?

Hi, thanks a lot for all these advices. I used to use descript for my short videos and it works really well but as I tried to use if for my 2 hours online course, it became impossible to export. After like 4 hours descript was still processing and no file exported. Is it normal ? How long does it normally take to expory a 2 hours course ?
