      I just started using the supertech two weeks ago today the exact same 10W30 in my new Honda Grom well it's new to me it only had 1400 miles on it it had the original oil change done and maybe one after that but it's set in a garage for a while I wrote it 300 miles and then just now drained it and the oil looked brand new but I changed it and put more of the same back in it... seems to be a really good oil considering the Honda Gen 4 oil is not synthetic and is twice as much I'll just keep running this super tech and change it every 300 miles

It does a great job of leaving an oil film on moving parts including the top end and cylinder walls. It's also quite viscous and will boost the overall viscosity of the oil closer to the Polaris 5w50. Great video and analysis.

Amsoil in a -60F pour test By a pretty good margin

    Great Information… something to think about.
    In my job I have opportunities to visit different companies and a couple of years ago I had tours of some major pistachio growers in California. One grower sold and packaged pistachio nuts for multiple brands including Great Value for Walmart. They have set standards for quality identified by each brand. I asked how the standards for Walmart Great Value compared to other brands… thinking the quality demands from Walmart would be lower. Instead was told that the quality standards for Great Value are the most strict of all brands.
    The reason is that you can get a bad bag of product from a major brand and overlook it… but if you get a bag of Great Value and it has a bad pistachio in it… the consumer will probably never buy it again. So Walmart demands that their Great Value brand be held to the highest quality.
    Always thought that was interesting.

    I’m sorry, but this is a very misleading video. I can appreciate that you tried to get the information, but it is incorrectly understood.
    More does not mean better. The results your showed are basic mass spectrometer results and show no indication of quality.
    Keep in mind that calcium and magnesium sulfates are detergents, but when heated turn to ash, which when it sits turns to acid…sulfuric acid, which corrodes metal.
    So, you need just enough to clean, but not enough to be problematic.
    Phosphorous and zinc are anti-wear, but change sheer strength of oil film, and make it brittle. Additionally making it too slick prevents proper ring seat and on a new motor will require a rebuild and reseat if the ZDDP content is too high.
    So, you want enough to lubricate and prevent wear, but not enough to hurt film strength.
    The lab test you had done was not a proper oil test which should have shown the curves in contrast to efficiency and ratios.

    • @armedfarm3429
      @armedfarm3429 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      ZDDP does not decrease friction, It's a anti wear agent. Moly will decrease friction, , you don't want Moly in a wet clutch oil. Zzinc is fine.

    • @mr1bienvenu1
      @mr1bienvenu1 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    • @raredesign
      @raredesign 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@armedfarm3429that’s incorrect. ZDDP’s primary function is anti-wear, but it absolutely does decrease friction, and in high levels will have a negative impact on ring seat of a fresh build.

    • @armedfarm3429
      @armedfarm3429 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@raredesign Wrong, ZDDP starts to work as an anti-wear additive when a higher temperature is reached & it increases friction. Moly decreases friction & has a negative impact on new ring seal.
      When you have a Jaso rated oil it's because increased ZDDP is higher & can be used in a wet clutch. Get schooled.
