    When putting them down for a nap do you nurse them to sleep? Because that's the only way my little one will fall asleep -_-

    My daughter will be 5 months old in 10 days. She doesn't eat like a meal every 4 hours. She is always snacking around. Eats 2-3 oz every 2-3 hours. Also, when she is asleep and I put her in her bassinet, she wakes up in half an hour. Doesn't take long naps. Even at night, she wakes up every 3 hours, eats just a little bit (may be just for comfort) and falls asleep. What do suggest to make her routine more regular?
    Also, I introduced bottle to her when she was 6 weeks old because I was going back to work. She was fine taking bottle until 3 weeks back and suddenly stopped taking bottle (till today), unless she is very sleepy. Do you have a guidance on that?
    Thank you for all your help. Your videos are really very helpful.
    Thanks,
    Jinal

    I need help😦😕💔 my daughter turned 4 months today and still need to eat every 2 hours. Is it because my supply is to low?? I had a supply problem because she had tongue tie which has be corrected for over a month and I have still continued to do pumping everyday to have my supply. She's fussy after most feeds like she is still hungry. And if she isn't she seems very hungry an hour to 1 1/2 hours later. Could I be over feeding?? If I am able to go around 4 hour due to a nap my breast feel very full. But even after those time she still seems hungry.
    Lactation problem for very heart breaking 😢
    I don't want to give up breast feeding but I don't want her to be unhappy and hungry 😢

    It is hard to follow a schedule with my 4 month old because if I wake him up and try to feed at the set time, he will not nurse when sleepy. He sleeps off or the moment I put him down thinking he wants to sleep, he wakes up crying. Again sleeps in the nursing position. So I need to let him have his own sleep feed routine. In this situation I just have to pump and feed him but then he sleeps right after that instead of being awake after a feed. Do you have any advice?

    13 weeks is pretty young to go all the way through the night, at this stage, I was getting up at least once, what time is the last feeding and when does he wake up in the morning?

    Hi there, if you can do the breastmilk, I recommend that, or pumping during this time. I found that whenever I didn't nurse consistently, it could affect my milk. Try to do it all with the breast at first until you build up good milk supply, stay in touch, xoxo M

    Hi Melissa. My 5 month old is on her own schedule right now. Feeding every two hours all day and night and I put her to down for naps whenever she shows signs of being tired. She is very happy and content but I'm exhausted. How do I transition her to this schedule? I don't want to change her from being happy to miserable :(

      Hi! I start to follow this routine but when I put my baby down for a nap is with my breast, he sips a little milk. So that will be close to two hours feeding. Before I go to sleep I nurse him. He will wake up around 3 AM for a dream feeding.

    • @Zig24-a1
      @Zig24-a1 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Did you figure it out?? Breast milk is digested quickly. My baby feeds "on demand" and he sleeps through the night. He eats every 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 hours and sleeps up to 6 hours at night. I'm trying to get him on a schedule so I can go into the office a couple times a week.

  • @cloudmom
    @cloudmom  11 ปีที่แล้ว

    Yes I do, but it's a bit of a choice... when you do that top-off feed, that can often get the baby through until a bit later in the morning... But some people don't like to wake their babies up. How is she doing during the day? I think eventually she will go all night if she is doing so well already at 4-6 months!! Way to go!!

    Hi Melissa!
    I have been following you before my daughter's birth..Now that she's been 4 and a half months
    Let me take you a week before I incorporated this routine.. So ,she was sleeping 3 times a day 30 to 45 mins naps but I used to feed her in every 2 hours or sometimes 1 and a half hour.during the day. 10 min feed from one breast only and for the next feed ,the other breast after every 2 to 2.5 hours. used to sleep through the night.
    A week ago, I watched this video of yours and tried to incorporate this routine! Since then, she hasn't been sleeping through the night and wakes up for feed, even if I have fed her at 12am.. :(
    She is now taking 6 min feed at every hour for 3 hours( 18 mins avg) and then she asks for another one after 3 hours almost, which I try to stretch to make it 4. So its like,she takes about 6 min to have a feed at say 12pm, she would ask for another 3 to 4 min.. and then again at 1 she's hungry I feed her she takes it and feeds for 3 to 4 min and again in an hour.. when she's done like this for about 18 min...then she asks for another feed at after 3 hours min
    What do I do,I am not used to waking up at nights :( as she has been a good sleeper since the beginning.

    My baby naps 3-4 times per day, but she only sleeps for about 45 minutes at a time, meaning she eats about every 3 hours. This was fine as she was sleeping from 7:30pm through to 7:30am every night from approx 3 weeks old (she is 4 months old now). But recently she has started waking frequently during the night and I'm not sure what's wrong. Her nap schedule is still the same, but night time sleep is shot to pieces. I think she needs to nap longer during the day, but don't know how to get her to sleep longer. :/

Have they tired this method & it has caused them psychological damage? Because I know if the person I love woke me up with cuddles offering me my favourite meal, I'd be happy!
