Use the old bushing as a bearing driver. Remove the seal of the bearing first. You might be surprised at what little grease is in there. Add more high temp bearing grease. Done.
Really great video and most helpful. However, I was able to replace the new bearing kit without taking the tire off. Less time and effort with tire on.
John Deere is the same way- front wheel bushings. After researching the topic I am going to replace my bushings with more bushings. My spindles are trash and need replaced. My left front is the worst of the two. I ordered a replacement kit on amazon that has both spindles and 4 new bushings with new clips and washers and wheel caps( all made in the USA). These front lawn tractor wheels take a real beating going around the yard and I neglected to grease on a regular basis. The reason I am not going with a ball bearing kit is because I saw a couple of videos where the ball bearings disintegrated due to the heavy beating load the front wheels take on these tractors. The bearing races cant take the excessive force and the balls come out of the bearings. I could be wrong but I believe this is the engineering behind the bushings in the first place-- instead of using ball bearings for this application. Also very low speed metal on metal, if greased will last( I guess). Mine are 17 years old at 475 hours of use mowing 0.75 acre yard.
After over a year with bearings on my Husqvarna I'll never go back to bushings. I use my tractor every day and yes the front end takes a lot of stress but I have had no issues. Best of luck to you and thanks for the input.
Great video. Thanks for sharing. I have a Husqvarna YTH-20K46. How do I determine which set of replacement bearings will work for my mower? Thanks in advance.
It's always a good idea to grease the spindles when ever you introduce a new bearing. These bearings appear to be sealed juging by the way they are designed and feel. Thanks for watching!
Really this isn’t rocket science folks. If you have any basic tools and some mechanical skills, it’s easy and a good hack. BTW I use a large socket to tap the bearings in. Works great. Another good upgrade is the poor-man’s power steering kit. Google it. You’re welcome y’all.

Thanks, good to know!
Great video. Why don't you use the old bushing for a drift to set the new bearings? Thank You

Great! Good to hear that! Thank you for watching my channel.
This is great. Got tired of bearing going bad. And I highly recommend using this kit.
Good!
Thanks. Very helpful!
You can use a socket that's big enough to fit around the edge of your bearing. It'll help when tapping it in place.
Thanks!
A 1 1/16" socket works perfectly.
Great video man, already ordered had to have them after your video!
Thanks man. You'll luv'em and thank you for watching.

Thanks in advance.
All the Husqvarna are the same, just get the ones that I show in the video and they'll work.
@@CycleFab thank you very much. I'm looking forward to watching all of your videos.
Keep up the good work.
Got the bearing into the wheel but it won't go onto the axel, any tips, tricks, or advice?
Sometimes burrs will be on your axles because of wear with the original bushings. You'll have to knock those burrs off with a file or abrasive cloth.
I have husquvarna model #YTH22V46XLS and these bearings were too small and didn’t fit on the spindle.
Hello, we have a lawn mower bearing kit, can you help make a video?
Yes, please contact me at: cycle4fab@gmail.com
Will I need to grease the spindle and bearings with this upgrade kit?

Great for the info! Thanks for watching and sharing.
Let the air out of the tire
Now that is some good, straight forward thinking advice!
Put your bearings in the freezer for a few hours and they'll drop right in.
Good advice, thanks!
@@CycleFab heat the spindles with a heat gun
